Another extraordinary game! The attention to detail, sound effects, huge skills tree, etc. are all done at a professional level and the game develops should be incredibly proud of their work. I would highly recommend the game, as well as paying for the premium versions. It's easily one of the best turn-based RPGs available for Android and deserves a lot more than 10K downloads. I couldn't recommend it any higher!
Really cool game, this is the exact kind of tactical strategy game that I like. It has that quality of immersion and emergent story telling that's rarely able to be captured. The customization really allowed me to build my characters and get into the world. The missions were framed in the context of the story in a way that made each one feel like an extremely tense high consequence scenario that you barely survive through. I really like the whole universe at place here
I'm a good few hours into the game and having a great time with it. Beautifully realised tbs mechanics that interact with each other in interesting ways, and it's very cool to play through the lore of an earlier period of the Dune-inspired Star Traders universe. It would be nice if there were a little more variety among enemies, and music had longer loops, but those are minor quibbles for a really neatly put together game with an unlock web to make Path of Exile nervous.
Dope game. Very similar to xcom with a little less emphasis on cover and no base building. Characters are very customizable to different playstyles and missions can often be tackled from different angles. The only thing I would change so far is something that may very well be fine the way it is. I wish you could respec your requisition points as well... I suppose the inability to do so makes the decision to spend them that much more precious though. Honestly I love it regardless lol.
This game progresses at a very nice speed and has an interesting and somewhat flavorful text and story. The tech tree is fun and involved and the missions seem to have different kinds of objectives. I even just got a choice within the story to accept one of four different missions to go forward, and it was presented as a non-linear storyline.
This game is absolutely phenomenal. Well worth the 10 dollars or, better yet, 5 if it's on sale. This game appears deceptively simple, but evolves very quickly. There are many different fully customizable units to use, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The best part? FULL control over the evolution of your troops. You can decide how to build your units, tailoring them to whatever play style you may choose. This game has very quickly become one of my all time favorites.
Xcom meets Warhammer. You have a squad of pretty much space marines fighting aliens (xenos) in turn based, grid based combat. The classes and skills are interesting and the request ion system unlocks new skills and units for even more depth. The icing on the cake are the branching story paths and the permadeth option for even more replayability. OH, and it's 100% offline, requires no permissions and can run on toasters of a phone.
True as advertised, and the best tenner you'll spend! What a delight, strategy, tactic, and character development bundled in lite world building and standard wathammer-esque fare... Good and relaxing fun with more than enough construction to keep things moving along. Replaying levels has to wait for NG+, but keep a notepad open to chart your favourite missions on the tanked up replay he second time around.
Buy it if you love turn based strategy with good rpg elements. First playthrough on Ironman Mode. Watch all your people die horribly on level 3 (technically still the tutorial). Cry. Do it again. Get to level 7 this time. Accidentally crush your absolute alien genocide machine soldier, who's lived through all of it, in a door. RIP Jackal. It was the engineers fault...
For the better part of 2 years I have combed through games trying to find something I can sink my teeth in ( metaphorically ) and this game is it. I am just at the first few missions but already I have found what I have been looking for! Paying for games is totally fine in my book because I used to have a console game system and most of those games cost around $50.00 to $60.00 dollars plus downloadable content. I do believe this is a game I have been looking for, thanks for making it!
Incredible mobile game, would love to see a PC game made by Trese. No doubt it would be magnificent. Professional level of design. I feel like they could easily put X-Com games to shame.
I've grown tired of shallow, grindy, exploitative games and looked for ages for depth of gameplay on a phone. Coming from XCom, Homm, Fallout this game offers great, deep tactical combat and a research puzzle on higher difficulties. Although I don't care for that in general, the story here is surprisingly engaging, too.
Having come from the old Templar assault game 5-7 years ago, I was a bit worried that this may not live up to the nostalgia of the older game, but it is quite frankly just as good. Perhaps too good, I find myself trapped constantly going back to play. It is that good. My only complaint is that scouts tend to feel a little... fragile when scouting, which leads me to tend to leave them in the back and scout with my paladins', captain's, and berserkers' faces. Keep up the good work!
Clearly taking a lot of ideas from WH40k Leviathan, but this game still shines. Though it may seem pricey at $10, I have found it to be worth every cent. Game play is polished, there is tons of options for customization, and multiple paths to take to complete missions. This game is a tactics based science fiction adventure in the Star Traders universe with a rich story. I had layered Star Tarts before AMD did not get very far into it, but after playing this game I wasn't to give it another try.
The UI is too text-heavy, and the attributes/skills system is not clear enough, although interesting. Otherwise it's an amazing XCOM-like, challenging and quite long (about 50 hours of play, no kidding). Definitely worth buying.
A really fun game. The slow-paced, turn-based gameplay may not be enjoyed by all; but I enjoyed the stategy and tactics immensely. If you enjoy strategy games and grim-dark fantasy, give this game a try.
In-depth turn-based squad tactics, slightly reminiscent of X-com, but very much distinct and unique, with a variety of well balanced gameplay options. This is a true gem, and buying it supports indie devs, who care enough about their product to provide ongoing tweaks and balances long after release. Game design at its finest, stop reading this overlong review and buy it already, dammit!
Surprisingly good game with real depth to the story and development of the characters. The ability to respec as you further explore the skill tree is a very nice feature. Absolutely one of the best mobile games I've played in a while.
This game is very challenging with vast amounts of RPG and strategy elements. The controls and graphics could use a little work. I was rushed into rating by the nagging rating reminder so it has only 4 stars. After I play a little longer I'll consider 5 stars.
One of the best Strategy games on Android. It has easy to learn controls and features, but also tons of customization. Hopefully there might be an expansion or sequel in the works.
All in all I have downloaded and bought this game 5 or 6 times now, it never disappoints. Almost all of the brothers games are very well done and you can tell they put a lot of effort, heart, and story into their franchise.... This however happens to be my favorite and even though I have yet to complete the game I am sure it will take a while to unlock all of the various types of combat that is included.... Great job!! August 5th 2021 Please.... Please.. Make a Sequel!!!! 5 stars!!
Exactly what i was looking for. This game is a fantastic turn based strategy. It has all the elements i have been looking for in a game on my phone. Controls are easy to use and the learning curve is nice and gentle. Definately recomend this game!
Took me a little while to get into it but I'm glad I persisted. Really enjoyable game, good story so far and gameplay is great. Graphics are a little basic, but I've enjoyed it. It's not as good as xcom in my opinion, but it's along those lines.
Great value, no cash grabbing, you get a full campaign and all characters with your purchase. Writing is cheesy but fits well for bigmech space bros battling aliens. Runs smooth, mechanics are fun, visuals dated but sharp and serviceable. If you like xcom, banner saga, and long for a 40k style tactical squad game this is the best scratch for that itch on android.
This is an excellent game with good mechanics and presentation. The writing is actually really good. If you're looking for a 40k style universe this is definitely for you. One thing I really like about it is you can play it for 2-3 hours and really get into it, or just a quick session between classes or whatever and it's equally fun. The turn based system works very well for that I. This case, and the save system is seamless. Great game
