Ten Codes

Many departments use different codes. This app doesn't know which department you are with or what their codes are. This version of Ten Codes should be consistent with the ten codes and signals published at http://www.patburgess.com/ten_codes.html . Please review these codes before installing on your device. Thanks, Pat Burgess
The goal of Ten Codes is to be useful. If these codes do not match your department. Please send me ([email protected]) your department's codes and I will try to make a version of Ten Codes for your department. Please put Ten Codes Request in the subject.

The Ten Codes application is an extremely simple tool. The intended users are the EMS community. It is primarily to enable First Responders to interpret radio communications quickly and easily. It interprets ten codes i.e. 10-4 (ACKNOWLEDGEMENT), 10-20 (LOCATION), as well as signal codes used by law enforcement into common language.

The Ten Codes application is self contained. Once installed, it will work independent of WiFi or phone signal. It does not require any additional permissions.

IT'S USFUL BUT INSTEAD OF MAKING NEW APPS FOR NEW COUNTRIES JUST ADD IT IN THE THIS APP LIKE YOU COULD SELECT THE COUNTY YOUR IN & THRN PUT THE CODE IN AND ALSO PUT THE CODES IN TO LIKE CODE 4 MEANS NO ADDITONALS NEEDED & CODE 3 MEANS LIGHTS AND SIRNS THAT WOULD. BE COOL & WOOD USE IT A LOT MORE PLEASE ADD THIS IN PAT.

As a new police dispatcher, I thought this app would be helpful; unfortunately, several of the codes are not the same as what my agency uses.

Read it! It says that all the codes may not match. If they don't, don't complain. It doesn't match all of my local codes, but I figure out what the difference is. Read it again.
