I'm still a subscriber, I still recommend this app. But I've taken my rating down for 2 reasons. 1, coach access was removed. They now SELL coaching not via messages but via calls. This just isn't affordable for me. This shift was not inclusive to those who can't afford to pay even more for coaching 💔. 2, while I love the array of podcasts, I dislike that I can't change the playback speed or exit the app while listening. Ad-free isn't enough to keep me here when the player is so limited 💔

Great meditations led by legit experts, from gurus to neuroscientists. Offers courses and single meditation classes. I've tried some of the courses, which I find really help (especially the anxiety one), but the singular classes are awesome, too.

Tho Dan Harris' podcasts are phenomenal, this one disappoints:(( These sessions offer sophomoric advice. It is both predictable and not helpful for clients with issues that go deeper than such generic advice. I'm so sorry for this negative review but I was surprised too, since many episides of Dan's other podcasts offer excellent insight, with actions to try, that do help adjust behaviors where a strong desire to change is there, but mainstream advice offers only that which does NOT work.

I have tried multiple meditation apps: headspace, shine, Calm, etc. I really like this one. I really like that it's practical, has science based evidence, and I love the Podcast! Keep up the great work.

great app! Except it keeps turning my notifications off. If you don't use your daily meditation reminder notification everyday it will turn it off automatically and give you no option to turn it back on. This is very frustrating. Every time this happens I have to wipe data for the app just to get my notifications to start again. I need my daily reminder or I go weeks without meditating. When the notification is working properly I get in at least two three days a week if not more.

Best decision I have made in a long time. The mental focus this has brought to my life has helped in so many ways in my day to day life. The ability to focus on a task better, helped with anxiety. Great way to get started. 10% Happier meets you where you are, novice to advanced and gives you tools as well as a clear path to follow. As with any journey inward, it is impossible to see every twist and turn, but the app gives you access to many tools like targeted meditations and even can connect you with a guide, if you see a need. All in all a great app that has broadened my practice

The program begins with"The Basics" which is taught by a fantastic instructor who doesn't have that weird new agey affect at all. I am 2 weeks in at this point and it has already made a difference in my psychological experience. I am, therefore, motivated to continue. This app is an excellent way to implement a structured meditation program. I'm very glad I found it.

Very great. I actually can't imagine anything better than this app. The teachers are amazing, and Dan is a host anyone can relate to, unless you are super New Agey I guess. There is such a breadth to the offerings that just keeps getting better - full courses, singles, podcasts, challenges, sleep, ... I started just for the sleep meditations, now use it all. Meditation / mindfulness has changed my life and I know I wouldn't have gotten there without the app.

I found this app through the book, which I also highly recommend. I've tried Insight Timer, Waking Up, and Headspace; this is my favorite. I loved some things about Waking Up, but it was too esoteric for me. I used Headspace for a year. I find 10% Happier's interface easier to use and less buggy. I prefer having a variety of teachers that are true leaders in the field. Sharon Salzberg's meditations on touch points and loving kindness have been life-changing.

After almost a year I still use and enjoy the 10% Happier app. Very well organized and understandable. Sessions are simple and straightforward. I have been able to learn more as I have used the app to help me in my practice. More sessions are added and I can try different teachers and learn different techniques. This has been very helpful!

Reasons it is the best are because: it is incredibly comprehensive, covering a multitude of life topics and the applicability of meditation regarding those topics; it offers educational videos and articles from experts that allow the user to not only better understand the mind and body but to also make connections which sets the brain up to apply those lessons to every aspect of life.

I started last year with the New Year's Challenge and I have definitely seen a change in myself. The app makes it comfortable as a new meditator, I always thought I had to be able to sit for an hour to meditate. Having permission to sit for what ever time I can has helped me to be more regular. I especially love the sleep meditations, I've always had trouble with sleeping, going to sleep was difficult, now I usually fall asleep before the meditation had ended. Thanks for what you do!

Love the app. I became aware of Dan's book and story via ABC. Listened to the audiobook then got this app. For the cost of a few cups of coffee per month it provides me with ☮️. I've been at it for a few years now, I'm far from perfect but, I'm a work in progress 😃. The app and people provide fantastic support and there's a meditation for every mood, feeling, situation. I don't know how I found the app, or why I chose to do the New Year's Challenge last year, but I'm so grateful I did. I love the guidance, whether it's a course or a single meditation, and the medidations being short and practical suit me well I was able to benefit from a lower price offer and I've even bought friends a subscription too. They love Dan and his specialists as much as me!

I love the app, I find it quite challenging to meditate regularly, and the design of the app with the doable length and different themes of meditations keeps me engaged. What also works for me is that it is really geared towards applying mindfulness in everyday real life situations, instead of being overly spiritual. Busy city life can be challenging in other ways than living 'on a top of the mountain' ... I am happy user for over a year now!

Make sure to close the app after each use. Dan has a pleasant voice, but I don't want to wake up to it at 4am. Twice, I've encountered a meditation session start in the middle of the night (yes, on a phone that has its screen off and no one interacting with it. Major bug)

I found this app from reading the book Meditation for Fidgety skeptics" by Dan Harris. I was learning more about meditation and a friend recommended the book. I sleep better and just handle life better when I meditate. This app has so many different forms and teachers with topics relevant for today. I recommend this app.ay If you want basic to advanced mediation that doesn't involve weird voices or visualations that make you gag give this a try. You can do it!

I've tried Headspace, Calm, Waking Up & various YouTube channels for meditation and I keep coming back to this app. It is SO worth the cost. The meditations and guides are variable enough to stay interesting, you can develop your practice in a particular technique (e.g Metta) or address mindfulness in the day to day (e.g around food or anxiety), it just has everything you need to cultivate a strong daily habit and more mindful life.
