camera records videos without date stamp. live feed doesnt show date stamp either so when the app freezes (which it does often), you have no idea you're looking at frozen image from hours earlier. you have to restart the app for it to reset. Even downloaded videos are missing date stamp. Filename includes the date and time video was downloaded, NOT when it was recorded. how ridiculous is that? why exclude the option for us to know the precise date & time the camera records a video?
Average app. Has several issues that are annoying (won't let you log in, takes a long time to do something you ask it to, won't connect to cameras and tells you they are offline even though they are not, etc) but it's the only one that works with our cameras so we are stuck using it.
Overall, I have been very pleased with these cameras. I have had these cameras for about 5 years and have worked very well until about a year ago when the app started asking to be updated every time I log on
App has a bug, constantly crashes. Can no longer watch live view. Will only show recorded events
The app for running cameras is simple and efficient. Love how you can bulk delete or save video to phone.
App does not work properly keeps crashing I do not have any sound with live feed please fix.
Not able to remove old cameras from my app other than cameras that have been shared with me. I have a few cameras that I had no longer on the app but there is no way to remove them. When I look it up it tells me to click the small gear icon beside the camera I do not want anymore and in the settings there will be a delete camera button. But I do not see one the only one I see it on is one that has been shared with me.
Simple to use great night vision the only thing is it's connection & the need to be so closed you the router
The other night I was logged out but I could not log in. I assumed their servers were having issues so I waited until later to try again. Tonight, I was logged in when I opened the app, but it says my email is unverified and that I have no cameras registered. Clearly something happened on their end and lost all of my information. Thanks a lot.
It works as intended but some improvements are needed. I used to be able to select the videos I want to delete and then hit the delete button. Now I have to delete each video by tapping into its options to delete, not to mention the 3 seconds waiting for the request to process for each video. There's also an app bug where after watching a video the "Video" tab changes to show only "Highlights" instead of "All Videos" with no way to go back to "All Videos" view.
I purchased a Lynx Indoor 2 this morning. It took about three hours to set up, even with the camera right next to the router. The video said to watch for the light to blink green and amber. That may be, but I didn't get success until I pressed the button on the back of the camera, cycling from green/amber, fast blink amber, then slow blink amber. When I set the camera to slow blink amber it connected almost immediately. I had also gone through the troubleshooting page, where many of the steps didn't apply to my particular camera. So far the camera and the app are working pretty well, and the notifications are accurate. I only gave three stars initially due to the preposterously difficult setup. I will update this as time goes on.
The last firmware update seems to have disabled the use of solar operation. I never used to have connection issues with solar until about a month ago. It will not stay connected at all beyond 2 minutes and it never comes back online. When attaching the solar panel to the camera, it doesn't even power it on any longer or indicate a charging lightning bolt icon. I ran a long extension cord to an AC outlet just to test it and it stays connected without issue. Please fix solar issue.
Great app and camera. The camera was reasonably priced and the video and sound are clear. The motion detection works great and the app allows easy review of the recorded video clips. There is a bright red light on the camera, so if you don't intend the camera to be seen you will need to cover the light up. Duck tape worked for me. Overall, I'm happy with the camera and app.
Is the company still around?? My camera's stopped connecting to the server. The app says that they are off line and the camera's blink orange. They been unplugged, reset to factory and are in line of sight from the wireless router which is dedicated to them (had 4). The app will tell you that the setup is complete and you'll get a activation email. I went to find used ones on eBay and Amazon and the description's say the same thing, that they will not connect to the server.
Great cameras (except the plastic mount). The app, though, isn't the most intuitive. 7 days of free cloud storage is amazing, and makes you overlook some of the areas that could be improved, like trying to find a specific event on a certain day... you have to scroll, and scroll, and scroll....and scroll.....and scroll. Then, if your sausage fingers accidentally press something else, you start scrolling all over again from the beginning of the day! Wish it was more like traditional CCTV DVRs.
Once notification is received of movement detected, it takes a little longer than I like to be able to open the app. But it does record so I'm still able to view the movement. The studio could be improved so that there's not that excessive static noise. Otherwise, I like the app in connection with the device itself.
I used to love this app. Now every time I go to the cloud for past videos within the last 24 hrs the app freezes and closes. It doesn't even load the list anymore. I'm so frustrated. I have multiple of these little cameras too :(
