It used to be free, hve incredible VPN options ready to use, and was most importantly usable. I've used the app since 2018, and to be honest, I'm incredibly dissapointed with what it's become. Now if you want it to be remotely useful, you must pay a subscription fee or else it's basically like trying to open youtube on a 2001 toshiba laptop.
It's worked well with everything I've needed to do. Learning new thing's I didn't know and learning some thing's better!!
The vpn doesn't works to be fact nothing works but the looks ,I'd tried searching YouTube on it but it showed me a white blank screen even though I'd followed every instructions they asked me. I would like a refund.
I use it to browse privately no comolains this aop does exactly what the developer states! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank u developer good work!
App is absolutely fantastic, and all the issues I previously had have been fixed
Great speed, security, everything is good, but the video player which is beyond garbage! You can't watch anything on it at all then when you try to it just goes blank then you lose what website you're on. Hell, even YouTube barely works on here disappointed this app has great potential. Also, the interface could use a touch up it's not bad, but I can see people having trouble getting used to it.
For a long while the app worked well. It all ran smoothly. Then certain websites stopped working, I stopped being able to search anything, and finally I'm not able to open it at all. Upon opening the app I am presented with a white screen for a few seconds, then it kicks me to my homescreen and says it could not open. Was once good, now very unreliable. Finicky at best.
It's the only private browser that I truly trust, although I can't make it my default browser because of bugs in the browsing itself. For example, I'm searching a picture and when I click in it the screen goes crazy and it starts wiggling, and then I have to close the app to solve the problem. The photo problem goes for videos too. If you get over these bugs, it's an amazing browser and it feels good to have your privacy back. Edit: the problem above has been fixed so I'm giving the app 5 stars.
I've had this app for a few weeks, and it's great. Does everything as advertised and is efficient. My one problem is the space it needs. The actual app is about 26 mb, but the data is over 2 GB now. I'm worried that if I "clear data", the app will break again. I had this problem when I downloaded it on another device and cleared data. After that it wouldn't open, and it wouldn't finish downloading when I tried to reinstall. So add a working clear data button in app, and it'll be worth 5 stars.
You want something less vague, fine, here we go: the app does not decrypt files and allow us to access these files via built-in software in our phones if we cannot view it in our browser, unlike in older builds. Sometimes sites just fail to load, but it's more common now with the update. It's frustrating. The UI revamps aren't the most visually pleasing as well!
At first, it was magnificent. Few bugs, but was working. Now, after an update, the app did not want to open, and had another instance where it opened but the VPN stopped working. I can reset the app, but that would reset the vault too. There are currently even more bugs than before. The interface gets stuck, some elements disappear, some websites do not work, the app crashes during basic file managing tasks. Bad experience.
This might help with the new version 4 if its unusable. I got it to work but there are still issues. Was told by support to force close the app. That did not help. What did was deleting the cache and data. Deleting just the cache is not enough. You will lose settings and bookmarks. It does browse and establish a secure connection. Issues that remain are: fingerprint does not work at all and paid subscription does not show in account. Need to test more to see if crashing issue persists.
so tenta. does not keep logs. the VPN is solid. if you want more can run another VPN with this. I hope to see a Good decked out PC version of this someday. no bugs that I have experienced. It's got lots of info about your connection and is kinda complex. can set up to wipe all data upon closing the program for every tab you used.. does take fingerprint BUT it works less than 30% of the time. the pin number is more reliable sadly. the finger print needs to be fixed..
Great concept and well designed platform. Although still a far cry from true end to end privacy and encryption. I experienced several major bugs as well and ended up having to delete the app. Never heard back from their tech support. Keep working at it; it's a great app for those who want some privacy, but not those whose lives and $$ literally depend on it.
So the app does what is says it does, and it works fine except for one thing. It's slow, I get 70mbps internet on my phone and the thing is slow. Even without a VPN enabled it can't run fast enough to really do anything unless you're patient. If you don't have good internet like I do and get around 1-10mbps this browser isn't for you, especially with the VPN enabled. If you're using mobile data good luck searching anything at all. Please make the browser faster if you can, then I'll switch back.
I like the idea, but the web pages are very slow and after one or two searches do not load at all. Also, I found the interface to be confusing and it could use a lot of improvement to be a simpler, cleaner, smoother interface. I would've enjoyed the app otherwise and maybe considered subscribing to an annual plan. It has a lot of potential and some cool features, but right now this app for me personally is not a good app for browsing at all. I had to uninstall since the app would not function.
As of January '20, their Freebie 2-year subscription will not renew, if you clear your App data in settings and re-login to your Tentaccount. I have one set for 2 years from Summer '19 to Summer '21 and lost it after cleaning my phone. It now shows up as a basic account. Other than that, this app is great. The recent update in late March '20 was a well-needed, GUI overhaul and bug fix, making it easier to find settings. Edit 7/18/2020: Still won't recover 2019 data.
I have used both the free, and pro versions of Tenta browser. In the free version, it provides a VPN service to connect to either your own country or one nearby. This is good for privacy from your searches being traced, so it provides a safe method for researching things in a dangerous home. It is not seemingly for streaming things from other countries, although with the pro version you do get to decide your region so it is definitely possible. I have only once experienced issues connecting.
It is a indeed a very good browser. Safe and could see it is very private and more advanced than any other current Android browsers. The only problem I face is the page loading again when switching between tabs. That makes it feel little slow, otherwise it's really good. If this can be solved, then it can become my primary browser.
It may work for a while and then it doesn't. Instead of opening the selected link (which it claims to be opening) it will open a random page that was previously opened. Happens even with the browser test (that will open after 3 or so tries though). Don't have the time. Very unreliable. After being disappointed time and again it's time to cancel my subscription.
Worked really well! Until it didn't... Recently started not being able to select any text boxes w/o the app crashing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Update: As of 09/21/19, the crashes are no longer present (so far in my limited testing)! Love the long pin lock and the VPN! Also, thanks to the Tenta team for being super responsive! 😊👍
I really like it, i replaced my old browser with this one. its very optimized, it does not drain battery life like other ones. VPN is good, fast and you can choose many different zones. No ads which is a big +. Very futuristic interface. it would be great if you could add light and dark theme settings. Overall good application for privacy, everything working as it should, would recommend!
It does it's promised features, but it crashes all the time, also it's speed is super slow compared to other browsers. It'd be acceptable if there weren't crashes every now and then, it's just ridiculous at this rate. But at least I've seen that on reviews here, they reply, which is great, but they've been promising for a faster web browser for MONTHS, and it's still super slow as hell... In a nutshell : I don't really recommend this to people who don't wanna lose their time while using a vpn...
