I just got the camera and set it up in my bedroom at first it worked really good. Once night came I realized it didn't have night vision and I could not see anything. Then the camera was off line shortly after. Tried everything to reset the camera but nothing was working!. And now all I hear is bell it makes when you first activate it. I can't even open up the app because one part says disconnected and then it say connected very dissapointed in this product!!
Update received from Tenvis. Some of us had issues with a text sent from Tenvis around 2-3 am on 10/22/18. Several texts and all gibberish. Tenvis sent me an email explaining that it was sent in error and that the original message to be sent out is a reminder to download the newest version of the app. Hope this helps. We shall see and I will pass on any other info I get.
After the new push to sign up and and make an account my camera stop working, can't finish the setup, doesn't pass the 100 second beeping step... I tried to contact customer support... nothing is active there! Useless page and function. Tried to leave feedback...same, doesn't work. So camera it's worthless, garbage, the app...a big, stinky pile of useless garbage! And everything was working fine before, the way it was, the update is not a step ahead but just going back to horse and carriage.
Viewing live camera feed is great. Viewing saved videos is decent at best. I am unable to pause, fast forward, or rewind. Videos are in 10 minute blocks so finding and viewing a specific incident can be a real nuisance. Also, saved videos should be able to be transfered onto the phone I'm viewing from.
The app used to work fine about a year ago. It looks like the app has not been updated since Feb 2021. I am now unable to connect to either of my cameras. When they do "connect" they constantly buffer. Panning the camera is out of the question.
Videos never load, motion events are always empty, no way to view video files outside of the app. Contacted their customer support and they told me to download an Android emulator on my PC and then use a screen recorder to record the video and from that I would be able to fast forward and/or share the file if needed. What a joke
Was working well but lately keeps returning to what I think is the default position which is the ceiling. This is no good to me and have to change it regularly. Quality is good. I don't record so I don't know about that part. Night vision mode is good.
DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!!! The app was easy to use and setup my cameras in my holiday home and worked for a while until it logged me out ( possibly an update to the app) It asked me to setup my cameras again. No problem apart from fact that my cameras are over 2000 miles away!!!! Support do not reply to support requests
I was really worried this app would be rubbish given the amount of poor reviews it had but it's actually really good. I have had absolutely no issues with it and found it really simple to use. The only thing the app could do with is a option to rewind on live feed, maybe that's something that could be added at a later date.
January 2019: App used to work great but the past few months I have had to reboot the camera every time I open it. November 2019: 9 months later I still have to reboot it every time I want to look at the camera. Otherwise it just sits on a black screen and loads until the end of time. I don't know why I thought they might fix it but jokes on me I guess.
the main reason for a security camera is, well, security. image is good, however motion detection does not alert unless the app is open. if the phone is idol in a pocket, no motion alert. also no function to turn on/off night vision. its always automatic, which it constantly switches itself. Fix this!
Needs update. Can't keep camera on, won't notify me for movement unless I am already watching in the app, can't get email notifications to work. Can't get mini SD card to work. Frustrated to say the least.
Stopped connecting for some reason after a few weeks and now can't connect it just keeps spinning trying to connect. Used new tenvis app and it worked. Once again my cameras won't connect out of nowhere. Stay away from these. Tuya and YIOT have worked great for me. I'm not saying this to support just my experience.
Bought this camera with an Amazon gift card for my dog boarding business. I made sure everything was correct according to the checklist but it will not connect to my WiFi. Not sure how to finish the connection. I hope to return it and try one with great reviews even if it costs more.
Took the warnings here about the most recent version. Needed to install on a new device so I went straight to APKpure for an older version. No problem. Edit: Some months later I had to reinstall and forgot, inadvertently installing the most recent app. The other reviewers are right: it's unusable.
I don't know what's the deal is, but it won't connect. I have tried resetting, removing, uninstalling app and nothing. It just spins trying to connect.
App needs to be updated. I had one camera that would no longer connect, either wireless or via ethernet connect. A second camera is starting to display the same issues, requiring a reboot each time it is accessed. I like these cameras but connections can be intermittent. I bought an upgraded cam, the th661b...will see if this version is more stable to the app.
