TEPPEN is a very good cards game with a lot of potential. Its real-time operation system makes it quick & enjoyable (unlike those turn-based games where you spend minutes waiting for the opponent's turn). HOWEVER, once again it's a game full of meta-slaves where you have to copy "meta" decks to have a chance to compete (Obviously, to get those full decks, hundreds must be spent at the shop). Also, some game modes have total random matchings (Floors game mode) where novices get matched with pros.
Good game and foundation. Balance is off right now, but I'm sure it will be patched up in the future. Some crashes, stalls and bugs here and there, and can be a frustrating experience gameplay wise, but overall a positive experience so far. Looking forward to more.
Get card game. Play card game. Enjoy card game. This great card game. I always liked Magic the Gathering. I always liked Capcom franchises. This game has everything I like about both with the added euphoria of earning enough gold to buy booster packs. Building a deck from scratch and winning with it has never felt so satisfying. Fingers crossed for Dino Crisis expansion.
I have been a very big capcom fan for years, so this game is for me in more ways than one. But the game itself is so fun anyone can pick up and play and I hope you do. Only thing that could be better would be more hero characters from other capcom games and I would love to see Jill from RE and Zero from MegaMan X. Also, sometimes after matches you can be stuck loading. I hope they fix this.
I enjoy a great deal about this game, the artwork, the animations, and the lore behind why all these great heros and Villains to this land of Illusions. Havent tried fighting a player yet as im just starting.
I've been playing Teppen for over 2 years now, I can say that if you love Capcom games and their characters, card games and innovation you will LOVE this game. The difficult part is getting the good cards everyone uses on the meta, but with time and effort you can make it. I only spent about $4.99 on this game to buy the season pass and from there on you can win in game currency to keep buying the next season pass, just make sure you complete the missions. Amazing Omage to Capcom games, 10/10.
Really fun card game and that's coming from someone she doesn't play online card games. As a capcom fan the art is very well done and some real thought, love and care went into the design of each one. I have had sync issues on occasion when I play but it hasn't hurt my experience too much. Would definitely reccomend.
This game is amazing.the deck potential is pretty cool and the fan service is impressive.this game pulls from some deep Capcom material.the fact that breath of fire is represented with onimusha content on it's way,is exciting. You can have a unit based on the nemesis from the older game and newer game.i can't wait for some stuff based on re village to be added.
This quickly became my favorite card/card style game ever, not only to how fun it is but also the variety and attention to detail to the franchises that the fans love. Personally I downloaded it just because of Monster Hunter, and to my surprise it has cards based on the now cancelled "Monster Hunter: Explore". Quickly started falling in love to other franchises because of this game, MH and Resident Evil alone made it worth it, now if only they add Dino Crisis... Then I would give it 5 stars ;)
Game is unbalanced, old booster packs are deemed restricted for ladder use every month, every deck you go against is one of four broken meta decks, no variety anymore Used to be my favourite game before the changes, now it is a headache.
A majority of my matches played have been against decks that either 1: start off very strong, too the point that you are playing defensive the whole match or 2: have incredibly powerful cards that can stop everything your doing but for too low of a mp cost. I just think it needs a lot of balance adjustments to help encourage a bigger variety of decks instead of the same handful being used by a majority.
great gameplay, beautiful artwork, enjoy the new characters. Too much lag, between actions and playing characters. The original characters, should get a little update to skills. Also, actions should be playable in response to character abilities.
Good value but the higher level play requires considerable investment. And 100k soul points for character skins are just ridiculous; they are merely alternative colors. Overall a refreshing alternative to magic arena.
Teppen is a good CCG if you are really into Capcom IPs. But since it is a competitive CCG, it can be a bit pricey If you want to compete at the highest level. It's active battle system is very different from any CCG that I've played recently And it's incredibly fun. You can also grind with the missions and the battle passes every season to keep everything fresh from time to time. And it updates monthly
I dont play card games like this. But something compelled me to try this. Took about a day to learn how to play at a basic level IMO. But others should pickup faster with prior card game experience. Also.....damn there's a lot of cards!!!
Game gets worse every patch, and this is the worst it's been in a while. Broken green cards that outright win you the game within seconds. I guess it's "fun" if you're playing those cards, but then everyone is playing the same thing. Too busy adding in skins you'll never get to play test their own game.🤷🏾♂️ 7/10 Would begrudgingly recommend.
This game is great. If you like games like hearth stone and gwent and you're a fan of Capcom, you'll for sure enjoy this game.
it's ok. should have just been a normal card game and then they could have had a physical release. for the most part almost everyone uses the 2 dragons or ryu which is kinda boring. season pass is just a bunch of missions which is dumb. needs more characters or cards. game is kinda confusing at 1st but then after a few matches is super simple and bland. graphics and art are nice that's really about it.
The gameplay itself is a very refreshing take on the digital CCG format, and very much worth the install for fans of some of Capcom's most famous franchises. What prevents me from giving this game a higher rating is the very poor UI for handling crashes and reinstallation of the game. If you uninstall the app, there is no way to recover your progress unless you had performed a "Transfer Data" before you uninstalled the app. The catch being that the only reason you would know that is if you happened to check their website first; considering that reinstalling an app that is having performance issues is a pretty typical first troubleshooting step, I imagine I am but one of many that have unfortunately suffered from loss of card unlocks, in-app purchases and achievement progress. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about the gameplay, but the very opaque and punishing process for reinstalling the app is worth a few strikes on the overall score.
Solid foundation, but some annoyances. The microtransactions are totally not necessary, which is awesome! General gameplay is fun, but once you start getting into ranked battles there are some irksome situations that start to crop up. You lose progress towards a rank-up each time you're defeated, which means you can get stuck in a limbo cycle of victory and defeat. Also, there are situations where you have to forfeit the match because you have an unplayable hand. Hopefully it gets fixed someday.
Its still working out the bugs. i would gladly give this game 5 stars because it is incredibly fun and entertaining. But it has frozen during several matches and force closed on me, which then gives me an automatic lose because of the disconnect. I know it's still got some work, so I'm a bit more understanding. But until they can fix the game freezes and force closes it's not a 5 star game.
This game has some great art, interesting mechanics, and unique gameplay. It's a very fun card game with a very different take on the tired old style. Plus the capcom licensing brings a plethora of great characters to play. In short, it's definitely worth a try...however. I refuse to give this game a better rating until you fix your damn network. I have "lost" several games due to a 9999 error, had several times where the game just kicked me out due to an unknown error. Fix it.
Incredibly fun but relatively unstable. As a card game, it's incredibly unique in that it puts everything in real time almost like an RTS. It makes each game feel fresh, unique, and they finish very quickly. The match pacing is also very quick - none of the slow early turns of Hearthstone, and it doesn't feel p2w. The big problem with the game is that it's relatively unstable - it crashes and DCs you seemingly randomly. If this is patched out (which it will be, I assume) then I have no problems.
TEPPEN is exceptional in that it is a competitive game with a robust practice mode that teaches you how to play! It also uses less of my data than any other game! A real innovation that will help shape other new games. 😁 However, it does force you into certain play modes and the "meta" is beyond stale and boring. The release schedule also feels forced and accelerated. In the last 10 "expansions" there have been zero new Heroes. How many different versions of the same character do we need?:3
