TeslaUnread for Nova Launcher

Bought this app in conjunction with Nova Prime. It has a complete mind of its own. After installing, it initially worked with Facebook and the badge counter showed. Now, it no longer works with Facebook in Oreo on my Nokia 7.1. I have now spent hours trying to get this functionality back with Facebook, all to no avail. It doesn't work with the IMDB app either, no badge counter shown., I've completely cleared caches for Nova, Facebook, IMDB and uninstalled all of them several times now to see if I can get the app working properly. As mentioned before, none of this helps. Very odd behaviour on reinstalling the app, after deleting app cache and data before uninstalling and reinstalling, is that all of the previous app settings seem to have been saved and reinstalled too. It's a mystery to me why I cannot do a complete fresh reinstall of this app , without the previous settings.. I can only give it one star. It simply does not work as it should. Judging by the amount of other users that are experiencing the same problems, I would advise avoiding this app for Nova Prime like the plague. A complete and utter waste of time that is unreliable and does not work as it should.

Kept crashing on Pie. Contacted developer and was informed as follows: "Hello, I assume you're using Outlook? If so, that's due to a bug on their end that they need to fix. Secondly, TeslaUnread will be going away relatively soon therefore we suggest you switch to Nova Settings -> Notification Badges -> Dots." Disappointing to say the least.

I have been using this add on app for 6 years and even though it should be included with the nova launcher itself, it is much needed. This is the first time I have experienced an issue as many others are stating not getting any notifications with the current android is. I'm sure it's a tough issue. I hope it gets resolved.

I've honestly never had an issue with the app until I've just updated to the most recent Android Pi. Device care keeps notifying me its constantly shutting down in the background. It worked perfectly for me before that and I rarely have issues that aren't fixed swiftly. **EDIT** Uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to resolve the issue

Excellent addition to Nova Launcher. Honestly, they should just make this a built in Nova feature imho, its an absolute must on all my devices. Easy to configure for various things like messaging, gmail, etc. (Just be sure and watch the gmail config. Enabling inbox and priority inbox results in a 2 being displayed instead of a 1 when there is only 1 actual unread message). 3 thumbs up!

The numbers on the badge are consistently wrong, some times by double digits. Terrible, frustrating, and lack of support(if you can say it actually qualifies as support). I've used your launcher since the Note 4 and upgraded to a Note 9. It was never this tedious.

Worked great with my S9+ on T-Mobile with Oreo. Upgraded to Pie this week, and the app constantly crashes. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but it didn't help. Almost a year since the last update so hopefully they haven't abandoned it.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The badge numbers can be wrong and show there's something there when there isn't. Really frustrating. Un installing and resetting does nothing. This app hasn't been updated in a year.

I've had to uninstall this now. My Samsung S9 updated to 'Pie' a few days ago and ever since Teslaunread keeps crashing when I set number indicators on. It worked perfectly on 'Oreo' and there are many reports of this issue ever since Pie went in to testing, it's sad to see that even now Pie is officially launched Teslaunread still hasn't been sufficiently fixed.

The oreo notification change ruined my touch wiz android experience. Clearing notifications now suddenly cleared my unread badges. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to fix it. Turns out thousands of other people were in the same boat. Emails would pile up unmarked texts I meant to answer would go forgotten about all because my unread badges cleared when I cleared my notifation. Nova Launcher with telsa unread saved my android experience. I almost switched back to iPhone yuck.

Update: On android upgrade to Pie you need to open Tesla Unread and assign individual app permissions for which you want the count. Works perfectly. Old review: Not compatible with Android 9 on Samsung. As soon as I got my Pie upgrade, this stopped working.

Bug in integration withGmail app, it doesn't show the notification count of other email accounts other than the gmail account, eventhough options are there to set up counters for all the mail accounts. People primarily use counters for mails and messages I believe. If those counters aren't working fine I don't understand any purpose of this app for me. OnePlus 6 Pie 9.0.3

Constantly crashes, making my phone unusable. It worked for months, but justvstartrd crashing about everu ten seconds (no exagerration) on my Samsung Galaxy S9+, making my phone unusable because the popups keep disrupting anything else I'm doing. Neee to delete this garbage.

Great app before Android Pie Update on my Oneplus 6. After the update I keep getting the "TeslaUnread keeps stopping" error other users are getting so I've disabled it. Been over a week of this error and several months since dev updated app, probably won't see a fix for a while.

It is constantly crashing after my phone upgraded to android pie (9.0)...in addition from the begining it had issues displaying notifications for my "duo" apps. Eg. My main whatsapp ap was ok but for other one doesn't display any notifications at all..

Words with Friends inaccuracy. works great with Gmail and all messaging apps, but shows a 1 whenever i have no moved to make in WWF. it will show a 6 when i have 5 moves to make, for example. it's always +1. annoying

Whatsapp notifications do not show from time to time. Like it shows up in thr notification bar but not on the icon. Other apps work fine just whatsapp is the one that from time to time doesnt have the notification count showing on its icon.

There is a bug with the notifications when you create folders in the app drawer. Developers have been informed a year ago, but the bug is still here... disappointing.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ This plugin doesn't work A's advertised. Badges rarely appear despite being configured, and when they do appear they disappear again randomly. Completely unreliable which is unfortunate.

Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0. Using the stock email app for Hotmail and an exchange account. The unread count works fine up to 20, then stops there. It appears to work fine with Gmail and Textra, but I haven't let them reach 20 yet.

Since the update to Android Pie the app just crashes my Outlook over and over on my OnePlus6. Won't let me email any saved drafts without crashing. Don't know what's taking so long to fix...

Note 9: No phone message count on the icon when using Nova Launcher and TeslaUnread. Icon works if I revert back to stock Samsung Home screen. This has worked in the past. It appears that as others have mentioned, some update broke this app.

Doesnot work on Galaxy S8 anymore. have been using this app since the I moved to Android 2 years ago and suddenly started crashing. had to uninstall TeslaUnread, NovaPrime and Launcher. have sent feedback and logs. Hoping it will be fixed.

Recently had 'Telsa keeps stopping' issue and emailed to dev team, got a prompt response on an outstanding bug with outlook and now issue is not occuring for me. reach out to the support team they are helpful.. giving back the stars :)

Hey guys, this app isn't working with Samsung Email after the Android 9 update. I've tried just about everything to get it to work. It shows a notification number on everything but email.
