The APP can only be used in combination with the manifold testo 550 or testo 557 (Generation 2015). The activation of the Bluetooth is carried out by pushing the up and down key on your manifold simultaniously.

I have an Alcatel 3V running the Android version 9 operating system and the Testo 550 digital manifold. I followed every step word for word as it's written in the owners manual to pair it with my phone but it still won't pair instead it keeps asking for a PIN number but none is provided. I have tried "0000" "1234" "T550" and the serial number on my manifold but nothing works.
For everyone saying this will not work try opening developer options on your phone, google it, and change the Bluetooth AVRCP version to 1.3 and use all codex. I haven't tried it yet but no longer get the unsupported alert. Maybe I should be the developer.
Hey, Just purchased the Testo 550. When I download the app, I get a warning saying that the app was built for a older version for Android. I can't connect to the Testo 550 by bluetooth as a result. I am running Android 10. Is there a solution for this. Same problem on multiple devices. Have made sure I have given app all permissions.
I to just downloaded the app and it said this app was meant for an older version phoneaccording to your literature that should be compatible with any phone that's using Android 4.3 or higher this needs to be addressed and updated can't be giving inaccurate information
App hasn't been given an update in almost 3 years.. come on Testo.. guess this is why Fieldpiece is whats on everyone's truck and not testo. Good for my first gauge set but not for someone looking for something top of the line
Testo 557 - recently been using the R448a and R449a for superheat readings, what allowance is made for the glide? Midpoint, or a 60/40 split? Curious. Thanks developer for no response.
Will not connect with new blutooth whats the point of selling a product if its not up dated???? 2018 wow... no stars given.. might send it back get a yellow jacket or something.
Just purchase this unit Testo 550 I'm very impressed with the compact size the lightness and information that it's stores I have not yet tested on a AC system but I will be updating my review soon......
this app is great as long as your not on android 10, it hasn't worked since my phone updated.
Can't connect my testo with cell, it seems that my android is to nuwe and the app was made for an older model.
Just got a testo 550 looks like I'll be returning it since you cant use the app with a modern phone or tablet.

This app has not been updated for the new Android 10 real work with the old Androids. 8 and below

For all of you looking for the app to connect your 550, 557, or 570 manifolds, look for the Testo Smart app. That is the app that they are currently using for all of their Bluetooth enabled manifolds and probes. Open the app, turn on your manifold Bluetooth or probes, the app automatically connects to the different devices that you have. Do not try and pair each device to your phone like other Bluetooth devices. It's not going to work. Just open the app, turn on your devices. That's it.
