testo Smart Probes

I use this app to collect temperature and humidity data from 605i smart probe. The app hangs a lot and does not respond after 3 hours of continuous data collection. I think this is because the data is collected every 2 seconds. So there is a lot of data. I need to save the data in excel format, but the app crashes after 3 hours and lost data several times. Actually, I need to take data for 24 hours continuously but since the app freezes, I am saving the collected data every two hours. I don't need data every two seconds. Why don't you guys provide an option to collect data every minute. It will be really good for lot of people. Please take this into consideration and provide an option to collect data every minute or make sure the app does not hang after few hours of use. Thank you

I was planning to get a whole set of Testo smart probes, but have put it off due to this app that was last updated in 2018. As it is, the wet and dry bulb temperatures have to be entered manually, even though you have the values in the app. Changing screens to get the values and then input them is not my idea of a user friendly app. There's also the fear that a whole set of smart probes might become unusable should the app be incompatible, or start crashing. Not willing to take that risk, so will skip on Testo smart probes for now. Testo, really? Last updated in 2018? Maybe the Measure Quick app could be a stand in for this Testo app, but at this point I'm not willing to buy any smart probes just to find out.

Takes alot of learning the app but it works Great! Very accurate readings, durability, and the battery power is outstanding. Worth the money. Try rigging the pressure sensors to you manifold using 1/4" T fittings as some Service fitting are hard to access if you try to connect your Testo directly on the Condenser. Its a Great buy! I've had mine for over 2 years and still working perfectly.

Decent app needs some improvements. When creating measurement reports should have the option to turn off the "instrument used" section. That way even with a few hundred words at the bottom the report could be printed in one page. Also should be able to turn off refrigerants so a nice quick list of R-22,R-134a, R410A, and 407c easily accesible. For the money I'm sure you guys are making on these probes you could be updating at the very least bug fixes more than once per year.

Love the app. But any way you can favorite refrigerants? I normally just deal in R22 and R410, and a few systems I service use r134u. And having to find them is sometimes a hassle. Maybe adding at a favorites option and moving those to the top would be awesome. Otherwise great app. Super accurate, does the simple math for you. And when calibrated properly is more accurate than manifold gauges.

Does not appear to work with latest android version. No update seems available. So all in all tool is just a throw away gimmick that you can use for a few months then lob in the bin. If this really is the case then what an utter waste of time, waste of materials and very environmentally unfriendly.

I've had my probes for almost a year and they've worked well, but now the app has swapped psi readings for inches of mercury. I can change to any other pressure reading but when I select "psi" it changes to "inhg". Very disappointed after spending so much on these.

No connection since android 10. ProbeS useless without connection. NEED UPDATE!!! seit android 10 verbindet sich keine smart probe mehr. Unmöglich. Damit sind die sonden komplett nutzlos. Tolle idee, leider nach 6 monaten nutzlos geworden. To your answer: as this may be a workaround to make the connection, i think it is hilarious to force us to grant access to gps in order to get a bluetooth connection. Other Bluetooth devices just work fine without gps. This is personal data. fix the app!

I need to keep pressing the play icon to get measurements every 1 second or every time I press the icon. Can you add a button so I can obtain single measurements every second or every 2 second or even better can you add a menu where we enter the time for single measurements. for example evey 3 minutes. this will allow us to leave the meter for 24 hours and see how the airflow changes with time. thanks. So like an idiot I bought every smart probe(including not 1 but 2 temp probes, 2 hygrometer and 2 anemometer), bought a nice protective case. A year later their app isn't compatible with android. So I'm stuck with a ton of useless tools I spent a ton of money on. Thanks testo. I've read all of your "fixes" on everyone else's reviews and online. It doesn't work. So not only will I never buy another testo tool, my 320 and 570 gauges will also be replaced.

App won't work because Testo 405i won't connect. Is it because my phone has Bluetooth 5.0 and not 4.0? Probably but not sure, I got emails to Testo on two different fronts, waiting for a response. Regardless, this app is useless to me and my current situation.

Really enjoy this app and the tools. Unfortunately, the app seems to be a little glitchy. I have to routinely closes it completely out and reopen it to get this to work. When will there be an updated version of this app? Also, once updated, can you add in a feature to make fav refrigerant? Gets tiresome to have to scroll through all them everytime.

Small improvements are required For long time data collection (example 5 hours) the device stay frozen for about 10 minutes wheb the data collection is finished. The problem is that the time interval is too short collapsing the data base. There shud be n option for increase the time between each data measurement in order to avoid overload the device and loose the data history.

App needs updating, was working fine on an older phone. Since upgrading to a newer phone It now won't function correctly. Last update was in 2018 which isn't acceptable with quickly phones/tablets update to new models and improve. TESTO, for the amount you charge for your products you need to keep improving for app for the latest phones and tablets

It's ok have several issues that need to be worked on. How do I make so I can see the super heat and on the graph part how do I make so when using 2 sensors they are on the same graph instead of 2 seperate graphs over each other. And why can't I see higher or lower on the graphs. Thank you, you are right

Not good. First off on opening the app the first time, a warning saying the app won't work as the app is made for an older version of Android. This will need updating as soon as possible. Is not working with Samsung S20 so far.

Great app, and great sensors. Using it for more than one year, never once had any issues with the signals coming from the smart pressure probes. Useful range ia around 20 meters.

Great Tool. Super reliable. My only concern is you cant download the app for Microsoft Surface Pro. I feel it would be more intuitive on a tablet. Works great on S9+

Great app when first released, desperately needs an update as I have a new android phone(2020) and I have lost alot of functionality. Cant send email reports or even download a pdf now. App hasn't been updated since 2018!!! Not good enough Testo!

If i could give less than 1 star I would, absolutely awful, don't waste the money and all they do is paste the same... Open settings and allow permissions....this does not work out solve the connectivity issues. I have 2 android phones 1 is a huawei and 1 is a Samsung and this rubbish didn't work on either... Stop fobbing people off and either make it clear on purchase or supply an update that fixes these issues... It's not acceptable.

When will the next update happen as the testo 510i is not compatible with my Android phone. I am trying to send PDF data file on pressure testing of gas it will not send. I have used the app before and now I have updated my phone and now the app won't comply. Can you please help

Absolutely Frustrating! Trying to go from a iPad mini 1st Gen to a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. The Tab A will only find maybe 2 probes. My Samsung S6 and my old iPad find all 6, no problem! I thought this was going to be an easy changeover.. Guess not. Who can help? Last time I talked to Testo about the changes to their .pdf layout they said "Sorry, We changed it."

Dear. Why in Target superheat we should enter the values of wet and dry bulb manually? I have already 2 testo 605i ; the app should be show the real time variable target superheat according to tha data received from the outside and inside testo 605i probes. Thanks to update the app for this option. Regards

App doesnt work since android update, I have had these probes for 3yrs with 0 issues and now the probes will not connect. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and same issue. I now have an expensive paperweight unless I can get these to connect

I like it, but there are too many refrigerants on thr the drop down list. I only use 4 or 5 refrigerants. There has to be a way to delete the unused gases or create a favourites list so I'm not wasting my time looking through all of them for just a handful.

This appears to have been replaced by the app "Testo Smart". Not impressed that there's no warning about that on this product page or within the app itself, and this app is the top result when you search Testo Smart probes.
