For the most part I like the app. However we have a few fish that aren't listed (Dwarf Cory Catfish for example) in the preset list. It would be great if we could type in what kind of fish we have and then it would pull up the info of the fish. Not having the exact species of fish makes it hard for us to get an accurate tank percentage. Also, it would be great if we could include glo-fish into our non glofish tank and visa versa.
Doesn't send send notifications or reminders like it's supposed to. It's easier to set a reminder on your phone's built in calendar or write it on a real calendar. No way of editing logged tasks so if you accidently put the wrong thing in it's in for good. The only way to edit or delete a mistake is to delete the ENTIRE aquarium from your app. Test strip reader is inaccurate & inconsistent. Scanned the same test strip 5 times in a row under identical lighting conditions. Got 5 different results.
This app seems to be good. Very knowledgeable about fish keeping-you can add reminders for water changes, etc. How can I get the light settings to turn on? When it serches for devices, it doesn't find any. The Bluetooth is turned on and the light doesn't blink. How do I reset/restart the tank?
The feeder works great and is perfect for away from home trips!!! Highly recommend for other fish keepers and turtle owners too! The only thing I'd like to add is for the feeder to add an amount of days to feed, for example, my turtle needs to be fed once every other day and I can't do that with the timer option.
I was under the impression that when I set up the reminders in the app to change the water in my tank, etc that it would notify me but that was not the case. I'm uninstalling and just gonna set reminders on my Google Calendar.
Cannot connect to the heater it keeps giving me unable to connect to the device. The instructions says to look for a blue light but the blue light never comes on. It also says to hit the reset button but I can't find it so I just unplugged it and it still can't connect. I can't let my water go cold for a second night. The instructions doesn't say that it only works with the light and feeder so how can I adjust my temperature?
Really a useless app for testing purposes. I lay the tes strips on a white plate and get everything aligned but it will not scan the strip. And there is no option to hit a button to manually scan once it is in focus and lined up...that should really be an option. Uninstaller app and just using the color charts on the bottles.
Doesn't even have a section for the Heater even though that's what the app is for. I can't even sync my water heater or find out the temperature of the water. This is useless. Why can't water heaters be A PLUG IN ONLY. Connecting to a phone is ludicrous.
Ok.. so I give my tank a name, select type..tropical, set size brings me to a screen where i can set sizes.. at this point of switching to and from that select screen, my tank type selection gets cleared! Move on to set time zone.. brings me to a time zone select screen! At this point, switching to and from that screen clears out my tank size selection of 10Gal! App is missing Newfoundland time zone.. havent gotten to the select network one yet... wont let me save each step by itself!
Actually very lame, not user friendly nor is there a good choice of fish. Bettas are very common and it isn't even on the list No user friendly as it is not easy to use. I have to chose a betta tank to chose betta fish? That is ridiculous considering when I did that I was unable to chose other fish! I updated my review of the issue with betta and no update to your response.
I would like to see the ability to add test results from other tests. I like the app, but I do not use the test strips. So, I can't use the app since I cannot add my water test results manually.
Very disappointed. I wanted to like this app the features seem useful but it won't let me add non-glofish in my GloFish tank. I keep Corey catfish in my GloFish tank, as well as snails and a small pleco. Literally can not add a single one of these to the tank I selected as a GloFish tank, and I can't add GloFish on a standard community tank so I can't input the correct fish in anything... These fish make wonderful tank mates and it is VERY common that they are kept in a community tank together.
Very inaccurate. Scan is fussy and won't work if any shadow is present at all. Attempted all options proposed by developer. Was an additional waste of time.
Scan doesn't work now. Colorblind and used this app to scan test strips. Now it is useless ** Update ** Scan works again. Thanks for updating. BTW: Is it possible to allow the flashlight to work on scan?
So I open the app and it requires that I create an account. Ok whatever so I do that. I have to give them my email. I'm sent the confirmation code which I confirm. Now I try to log in. Nothing happens. This just a scam to get your email for spam.
I got the heater and thought the app would at least give me a display of the current tank temperature. But it dosent, it doesn't do anything really you sign in, name your tank and use it to record its parameters something you could do with any notepad.
It logged me out now i cant log in again, it says my email wasnt verified when it was. Edit: it works again. Edit: i emailed to tetra and they verified it, now its logged me out again and has to verify, this isnt working out very well its unuseable, changing my review back to 1 star. I dont want to email tetra saying "hey verify my account" every time i want to try and log in!. Edit: but my email was already verified by tetra on my last review, it works for a day until i tried to log in again.
Keeps rotating from portrait to landscape and won't stop uninstalled it 3 times and reinstalled it and still does it. I'd give it 0 stars if I could
After all that signing in and verifying it turns out I can't add that I have live plants, and I can't add that I've got snails in the tank. If those options are there, I can't find them.
I created an account and it sent me a code to my email I provided. I enter in the code and my account is successfully signed up. I then try to login and nothing happens. Literally...Nothing! I came back to google store to check reviews and there are a lot of 1 star reviews with the same issue since June and it is now October. Why has this not been corrected?
Available fish list information is VERY limited. Are there plans on making more selections available? Also, need ability to combine multiple Aquarium types.
I am unable to use the app because no matter how I hold my phone the login screen rotates nonstop. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't matter.
Abandoned App. No response from customer service, buttons are irreversible, doesn't help schedule aquarium water changes or food schedules or nada. Garbage App.
On the aquarium types or list terrariums should be added for those of us that have Turtles, frogs, newts and Etc. It would make it easy to use the Wi-Fi feeder.
Decent app but it does not include most of the fish that I have so it just doesn't work for me. It's great if it has your fish though.

Bought a 100W submersible aquarium heater with the advertisement for this app on the box. To my surprise heaters aren't supported in the app. Wow.
It is a great idea if it only worked!!! I have My Aquarium Connect on my Android Galaxy A20 phone it will not take a picture of the test strip.
Totally useless app. App does not allow you to mix peaceful cichlids with other peaceful community tropicals unless they are cichlids. Claimed a 55 gallon tank with 3 individual compatible cichlids was at 200% capacity. That means a 55 gallon tank can only hold 1.5 fish. Stupid, ridiculous, awful. Zero stars
App was working great for 3 days. Was able to do water tests and look at results. Now everytime I try to save a test or look at results the app crashes.
