I have used this app for years with no problems. Now all of a sudden I cannot transfer or deposit money through the app. I also think that the bill pay interface should include a place where you can see of all of your payees, not just the scheduled ones.
Poorly designed interface and I had to make four attempts before the deposit was successful. Not ready for prime time and don't waste your energy trying to make deposits using your mobile phone app.
This is the worst banking app I've ever used. Constant unnecessary security. As well as no zelle no quickpay from app its very inconvenient. I'll be going back to CHASE.
Slow, repetitive questions for no reason, noisy camera sounds. Editing to add that now it's even slower to log in.
This banking app is very user-friendly and useful. It makes managing my accounts and paying bills a breeze. Definitely recommend it for any Texans CU member.
Texans phone banking is better than regular banks. The app allow you to download the app to a new cellphone device and easy to get started again. The security to verify it's me on a new device was easier the BOA....I tend to trust credit unions more. I hope in the near future, I don't regret it and they get like banks. But the people makeup the credit union. We should have say, so and voting. It should be the only place you can get help when your credit is damaged. It should be 2nd chance.
This app really helps me easily do my account review and changes. I like doing a quick check on my finances. This tool works! Still an asset.
New pixel phone, app works well enough. Only disappointment is that I can no longer make payments towards my principal on my truck loan. Not sure why they removed the option during a pandemic when we're supposed to be avoiding personal contact with other person's not synced with ones immune system. But hey, I'm just a consumer.
Remote check deposits are terrible. Camera images always need something more to be accepted.
Update: This time I had no trouble taking the pictures. _----------------------------- It was a little hard to get the pictures right. Also, it needs to say if "For mobile deposit only" goes under the payer's signature or the endorser's signature. Update: no problems this time. It worked very smoothly.
All good but when taking picture of the front of a check the first time, the view window is in portrait orientation even though the phone is in landscape. Retaking the picture doesn't have this issue.
Good to view accounts, transfers, etc. The check deposit side of it is tough with all the questions it asks and redo of pictures it wants. It should tell you up front what it wants as well rather than after taking the picture.
Please at least give me the option of having an auto camera or not for check deposites. I had to retake a picture several times because it kept taking the picture before I was ready. That's going to get very annoying very quickly.
I used to swear by this bank but in the past month their Mobile Deposit has been a nightmare to use. If you use mobile deposits and expect your check to be processed in a reasonable amount of time, don't use this app. They currently have my stimulus check on a 5 day hold. Which conveniently is released right before my credit card payment is due. I've been a member for over 10 years & swore by this bank. Now I swear I'll report them to the BBB if they don't stop playing games w/ mobile deposit.
As typical the app fingerprint sign on identify does not work. It either times out or just endlessly recycles. Therefore I must go back to the original app to manually enter my information and complete the sign in process. I am removing the app not only because of this but because of the merchants discounts feature if I use my debit card with the merchants in the app. I did not and do not want this feature.
Check deposit Auto photo capability is abysmal. Had to do it manually. Then, it gave me the tiniest window to photograph in. Would not work with Auto rotate. Prior release was far superior.
Check deposits are too complicated. Wells Fargo deposits on their app are super easy and fast. This app always asks me to retake the pictures several times. It's terrible.
Sometimes they goof, they're too quick to fine you. They should give at least 24 hours for deposits to be made before giving a fee for over-drafting on your account! I literally had a bill come out the day, I was getting paid that night! 😕 Frustrating greedy world we have become, no room for wiggle room!?!!
I love my local Texans branch and the service is excellent. The app itself is easy to navigate and displays current balance. The check deposit photograph AI is garbage, otherwise 5 stars.
App is fine for the most part. Latest updates seem to turn on narration for check deposit. Very annoying and no way to turn off.
not crazy about the requirement to write" mobile deposit only" on the check. what if mobile deposit attempt fails? Also, when forced to look at your check to make sure it says that, it shows the picture of the check front instead of the check back. Still same after a year. Otherwise the app is ok.
App is simple to use and easily accessible. Love to interact between accounts and perform auto transfers, etc. Quick and straight forward options.
How convenient!!! Love this app! No ads to interrupt transactions...

Does what I need. Easy to setup payments and check balances.
The worst bank app experience I have yet to have and the fun keeps going on over months... They keeping changing and making payments almost impossible. Since I have banked with this app I have had to re-link payment accounts a minimum of 3 times, and have yet to successfully do it this last time. This has been after many attempts and two calls into the bank trying to get it to work. Still not successfully able to pay. The people at Texans CU are great, but the app and support are horrible.
