Good for its intended purpose, but would greatly benefit from more customisation. Mainly the function of being able to add new lifts in like if I want to do snatches or other lifts in between.
Good intermediate barbell training and Texas Method specific app. Simple clean design and works well. Could have some more customisation options other than only being able to rename lifts, such as being able to move deadlift to a different day, modifying the rep scheme, or adding assistance work; which as Texas Method is a template that can be skinned in many different ways are all common ways of using the basic TM template.
Obnoxious ads, free version only lets you do one cycle. There are tons of better options, don't use this one.
Only issue is when you fail an exercise is still wants to progress you next cycle. Should keep same weight or reduce it after 3 fails. Fix that it will be 5 star
This application has no customisation and badly done, clearly not using today technology as this app is the most basic i have seen so far, that is a shame to sell this for £4.79. i never add comments but here Google did not want to refund me after 15 minutes buying this horrible application
Obnoxious ads every time you finish a set and YOU ONLY GET ONE CYCLE UNLESS YOU PAY FOR PREMIUM. $4.99 no thanks.
Really useful app for moving beyond 5x5, making good progress with it.
Wish it was laid out more like the original starting strenght app. But it'll do just fine the way it is
Great app and program for strength.
Super easy to use
Really a good app
This app fails in several ways compared to other apps by this company. The screen timer option is not available. The multiple entry points of this app for reps that you completed is unnecessary. It is not as user-friendly as their other apps. For an app that you have to pay for they could have done much better if they tried or care. Weight calculation is off by quite a bit. It needs to have a 5 rep max calculator and a one rep max calculator even a 10 rep max calculator to convert it to your 5 rep max. This is a mandatory options in a paid app. The two-week cycle option is not a terrible thing but it's a little different compared to all other Cycles.
I like the app so far, I do wish it had a little more flexibility to help people choose training options to work around injuries and such. But my biggest feature request would be an option to keep the screen on and phone unlocked while using the app. Update... I now really wished I wouldn't have paid for the app. There is no flexibility in this app at all. Toy can't move deadlift to the intensity day or anything like that.
Can't calculate press weight properly which is the least you'd expect from an app. The warm-up weights are bizarre.
Love the app.updates keep bringing really useful features. But paid upgrade is too much for what it adds.if it was priced at 1.99 it would be an instant purchase
I like this apt and paid for full version but the two week cycles get annoying. Wish there was more flexibility with the cycle length. Seems like an easy fix on their end
Paid for the full version but still only has 2 weeks of the cycle, is this correct? Also the total workout volume calculations are way off. A volume total should weight X total reps. 5 x 5 x 120kg = 3000kg. Somehow you have the total for that whole workout at 1055kg? Fix the errors for 5 stars
Need more user functions such as ability to change weight from the prescribed amount and calculate length of work out
the free version has invasive ads, the timer plays your notification sound that plays over your music, instead of a custom sound that pauses music, you can prematurely finish your workout, instead of prompting that you missed stuff. only offers 1 cycle and you have to upgrade for more, the template is similar to Stronglifts but with less care. my gf uses the iOS version and its even worse
