Not bad, though a night mode would have been really nice. A black background with white writing. Much easier on the eyes. Also, the reading aloud icon never works, so that definitely bothers me. I really would have liked to have that feature, but there's obviously a glitch. Lastly, I really recommend adjusting the text size. In order to get the full page, I need to make the text super small or the text gets cut off. It's pretty annoying. I hope this helps. Thanks.
Good app for online textbooks, makes using online texts bearable. One thing that I would love to have incorporated though is to have a 'dark mode' which would have a dark background and white text, which I find reduces eye strain when you're reading for long periods of time. Overall, good at what it does, but in my opinion, will never be able to top a good old hard copy of a textbook.
Some textbooks are hard to read because of the way they are integrated in the app. The fonts are too small or blurry and, even though I can zoom in I'm getting a half page having to scroll left and right to read the full text, especially on a two column textbook. Very annoying and hard on the eyes.
I honestly have no idea if I can even use to app for school. I can't scroll through the pages easily. Or at all really unless I bring up the menu to manually switch pages. Honestly I wouldn't use this if I was even able to get physical books but I can't. I don't understand why this app is such hot garbage when eReaders have been around for so long...
Absolute garbage. Won't download to device. Stalls at many places during download. In addition, using the browser version is terrible too. Can't full screen; can't move pages without literally typing the next page number. Can barely scroll through a page properly. Just terrible to have to purchase ebooks through a garbage provider like this. Do something about it.
My online course forces me to use it and I'm seriously considering dropping this course I love just because of how bad this app is. It's trying to be a book but absolutely fails at it, as changing pages is frustrating. I'd rather use a PDF viewer. Maybe allow us to extract books we actually own, and read them on other apps? Moreover, when trying to download a purchased book to read, oftentimes it'll just stop downloading on its own, and you'll have to start all over! Happens on Windows app too!
Seems that my previous review was erased. Interface, not good. Easy to read? Yes, but could use quite a bit of work. Used it on both windows and android, gotta say the in browser is the best option.
i love that I can take this on the go without using my laptop as Im too paranoid to use that on public transit lol however, I have two things I'd personally like to see. I'd like a scroll bar per chapter only because it soothes my anxiety if I feel like a chapter is really long, I'd know how much more I have left to read and note on. secondly, when you rotate your phone, the app loses your spot and puts you to the top of the chapter. this particularly drives me crazy haha.
The read aloud Option stopped working. Finicky page turning is also very annoying. Like selecting traditional page turning style but I've wrong move of my finger and we're back to vertical style scrolling.
Trash app, landscape view has empty sidebars to prevent it from being useful, and the regular portrait mode keeps the text so small that is unreadable without needing to zoom in so far that you can only see like 1/12 of the page.
Works. Sort of. But navigating it is problematic. Audio is frustrating since it only ever starts from the beginning of a chapter. Randomly resets.
Like it just one issue with the reading flow, that if we click on some abbreviations which is in details explain on some other page, going back to original page become difficult as back option is not there
It does its job but is slow to load on all platforms. Switching between chapters, especially when referencing many chapters at once, becomes annoying because of this.
Difficult to view and navigate. Very large margins. Zooming makes text disappear into wide margins. Wasted my time installing downloading books and could not zoom
Awful application, only works half the time, doesnt allow for highlighting, terrible interface, poor page flipping. PLEASE IMPROVE APP INTERFACE
it constantly freezes and is slow in loading my books. also it never works unless i have a wifi connection so what was the point of me downloading my books offline if it wont work in the first place
Horrible search engine, not user friendly at all, glossary usage and return to text difficult. Do not recommend
The download of my ebook keeps resetting. And it takes forever to download. Feedback such as data transferred and approximate waiting time should be displayed
Its wonderful and could be even more so if you can respond to questions and reviews in the text book.
Not easy to use. Sometimes page swipe won't work properly. Response time is slow 😑

This is a terrible eReader. The controls are really clunky, pages don't seem to display properly (I can't read printed tables because they're cut off and cannot scroll to the side to see the rest), and the scroll read option only scrolls to the bottom of your section then you have to flip to the next section anyway??? I'm not sure how they got it so wrong and I'm annoyed that my textbook is only offered on this platform.
