Text Editor - Create, Save & Edit Text Files

Fantastic app! I only have one little issue. It would be great to be able to load and save documents that you have saved on your SD card, instead of having to move them to the phone memory to edit them, then move them back to the SD card. Other than that, so easy to use and user friendly, hence 5/5 stars! (Please allow documents to be loaded from and saved to SD card).

My only downside is I wish it opened up previous notes automatically and I didn't have to manually do it every time. But that won't make it a 4 star because this app does what it needs to do and only needs the basic permissions for what it needs to function. Not like the other 100,000 note taking apps that just want to steal your data with the 20 or so permissions they want. So, thank you for your work!

:/ Almost exacly what I was looking. Really straight forward, no messy settings, permissions or adds 👍. I need to be able to delete a .txt & save externally from in app. If it had those options I'd give 5⭐. Bit annoying having to use other app to delete it or move to SD. If too risky to put delete in the file explorer part of the UI because people might accidentally delete the wrong file, then maybe put delete file in edit interface with a prompt. So ppl know they're deleting the right thing.

Works well most of the time, but often tells me my file has no name and needs saving, despite no edits, and if i dont resave the file it will delete my file. Ive lost my file several times now, I blame android coding for this though. Still despite this its the best ive come across. Make sure you force saves to a SD card as that fixed the loss of files for me.

A shame this gem is that low in the search results for "text editor" Simple text editing, no BS. No excess permissions! A font without "I and l problem" Minor problems: Saving only .txt files (adds .txt forcefully) No autosaving Saving is three taps if you overwrite "Edit" button looks disabled, but actually works No font size options - can be too small for some. I love it and i recommend it. I've written this feedback in it because playstore's feedback ui seems to be meant for 5yo.

Nice in looks and works okay so far. A bit unique in usage, but can easily adapt to it. Great work. Can you add an 'exit' function to exit? One caveat is i can't select it to open a file from within a file browser - not sure if that's due to MIUI. xiaomi mi3, android 6, miui 8.

perfect text editor but can you add an option to change the background color? it's hard to distinguish between the background and text when it is selected.

Great app. Even without access to SD. The buggest issue for me is forced *.txt to open and save. Are you planning to allow users to choose any file extension for open and save in the future?

The touch targets/buttons are too small. I keep missing them. Solid choice if you need a basic editor, though.

I am able to access text files and transfer them as is to my external card in contrary to the comment made by a low scorer smoothbrain Very useful freeware and I recommend using this over the higher scored free trial apps on this platform.

I couldn't find an autosave setting (or any settings menu at all actually). Saving a file when exiting after editing took 4 button presses.

Please provide an option to switch to previous folders, currently when folder is created inside a folder, app can no more save file in the main folder. Please fix this issue.

Not only can this app not even see the external storage, despite the description, but it also doesn't show as an option for opening text files.

I love using this thing when I'm on the road and want to get some work done on my books(which, yes, I write on txt files first-). 10/10 Edit: No problem, S.S. ^^

Missing option settings, and light version, white working area, only that.

Finally something that accully works. other txt editor for some reason inflate the file size a the app doesn't read it this app works

Amazing! This is the only app that actually works SAVING text files.

Suggestion : If file's name already has .txt extension, there is no need to add another one.

As described, minimalistic. But can't save to external SD.
