Text Invitations - PurpleSlate

Its easy to create an invitation (the templates aren't impressive) but not one invitation was sent! Not ONE! I suppose access to my contact list was more valuable than a useful service.

Great app! I love it so far. It has never failed me. I would like to see an option to send thank you messages to all who attended an event.

I tested this app before launching it and it cannot send a message to my recipient. I tried several times and nothing. I sent it to both his work and personal cell. When I sent it to my Google number it worked just fine. I am not sure if I 'll use this app. I like the look and ease of use but it's no use if it can only send to a few select numbers. I will try once more tmw.

Once an invitation group is set, can't find away to add or invite additional guests. Frustrating.

Pretty good app...be nice if it kept me logged in tho...but the app sent all my invites...I would use it again definitely. Great customer service.

The support team was very professional and contacted me right away about my issue of not being able to add personal photos. I did use another phone and it works fine except when I sent the invites. It's been 5 hours and they were never sent. Easy app that doesn't seem to work. The support team resolved the sms issue the next day. This app is much better than evites and it has the picture instead of just text on the sms. Pretty good app, as long as glitches are addressed. It would be great to have a cohost feature.

Unable to let guest indicate how many guests they are bringing and also no option not to put in end time

I created my invitation (which was pretty easy to do) but now 30 mins have pass and none of the texts have actually been sent out. If the app isn't gonna immediately send the text it really defeats the whole purpose. It stated "send text in seconds"...not true!

At first, I liked this app when I used it to plan my baby shower but now when I try to use it again I can't get into it. I tried every password I could think of. I tried to use "Forgot Password" option but then it says my account needs to be verified. Then I try to verify my account and it says it sent an SMS message to my phone with new verification code and I don't receive anything. At one point, it said that a temporary password has been sent to my phone via SMS but I haven't received anything and I still cannot get into the app. Smh

Using it for a while now to send invitations to almost everything from a dinner to a birthday party, or graduation party, etc. Works smoothly and people respond to text messaging right away! Love the photo sharing and chat feature too.

At first it seemed like it wouldn't send the invites out. I waited a full 24 hrs and it still said "pending"... then about two days later (after deciding to just mms everyone manually, and even deleting the app), it decides to send it out to everyone before seven in the morning! Worst app I've EVER tried.

This app would be a 5 if it had 4 other features: 1 - have the text look like it is coming from my number, not a random number (Like justwink), 2- allow rsvp to include # people attending and 3- if I update the content of the invite, give the option to send or not, on the android version, if you update all invitees get another message and 4 - have option to only message those in each rsvp category (yes, no, no response) instead of 1 or all. Thanks!

Its says in the FAQ that you can indeed make changes after you send out an invite. But there is no option available for me to make changes or to add guests. So if you dont get it perfect the 1st time its a wrap. Also the phone number that guest see when they get the text is a random number, i think this is throwing people off. Other than that i like the app and it is easy to use. I'd give 5 stars if someone was able to help me with editing

I emailed the company with frustrations. Someone responded immediately and guided me through. There was also a system problem that they worked on immediately to better the system. Great app creator!

Great design and easy to understand. Signing up and sending an invite was super quick with lots of photos to choose from. No more boring emails and texts.

This is a community app which makes a lot of sense to use when your friends and family get on it too vs. using Facebook events. When you invite them to an event, the service will send them a text about your event with a link, and they would need to get the app. But it is fairly easy for a layman too and once you are on it, you are good to go for this as well as all upcoming plans!!

If you have a group of people you hang out with frequently, then use this app to make plans easily and quickly. It will send push notifications for a new event, and everyone can also chat and share media inside an event once everyone gets on it. And it has group chatting too so we can connect with our folks in the group whether or not there is any event.

So until now I have been designing and sending invitations via email based apps which can sometimes just get ignored as people get hundreds of emails. This brings invitations from email to text which is great as we do have each other’s phone numbers. It makes sense to get your group on the app and send invites easily and quickly or just chat on the side using their chat feature.

It is a great way to send invitations straight from the app that gets delivered by SMS so I don’t have to deal with people’s emails as I have their phone numbers but not their emails. And it’s free too! Guests don’t have to get the app to send their RSVP, but it is worth it to get the app for so many free features like add to your calendar, set a reminder, share pics, etc.

I never get a response to Facebook events as people just ignore it. But this app lets me send my invitations via text so everyone sees it via a link and they can respond just by tapping a button. I am letting my close friends know so we can all be on this app and use it to get together easily as it has great in-app features for sharing event details, pictures and videos as well as private chat.

So we make plans via chatting on whats app. It works because everyone is on whats app but at the same time, its exhausting to create a new group every time for a new event, follow so many group messages and responses and then people eventually leave the group. I just tried this app and it lets you manage rsvp’s, guest list and organize photos and videos by events as everyone can post inside the event. Need to get my friends on it so we can manage our get togethers here with a proper invitation and RSVP service and create our event albums!

you guys have made a godly app. its amazing to use and the best thing is sharing photos. now no need to mail the photos. and all those other stuff. using this app with great ease and love

This app lets you send invitations to people’s phones via SMS. Imagine how much paper this can save if people start to use it! I am trying it and telling my friends to get on it so we don’t have to deal with sms or chat groups.

Great app! The UI is well designed. Personally I do not enjoy making various accounts so having to sign up for an account was a turn off but other than that it was pretty good. Now I have to get my friends and family to signup for an account to use the app to its full potential great job and well done.
