Text Scanner OCR

This app does what it says it does perfectly. It's an offline tool which reads text within a graphic instantly. I'm not in a hurry to get an online OCR scanner, many of which have advertising (which sucks!) So for online content I do a simple two-step process: 1) Get a screenshot of the online content, save the png (I like to convert to jpg) & 2) Open that file in this app and instantly see the results. With No damn advertising & fine functionality it's everything I want in an app

The OCR is terrible with photos, complete failure. When testing with a 'live view' of a printed manual, it displays the result in highlighted text over the image, which requires a steady hand. Movements cause the OCR to change. The best result I could achieve is 90% accuracy approximately. Not good enough for legal documents. I would give this app 10 stars if the OCR worked on photos of as well as with 'live views'. No annoyances/Ads.

Not perfect but, it is a modern marvel. One of the uses I have for it is grabbing a long list of files or folders from a Windows 10 file explorer and pasting into an email. As they all do it works best with space around the text.

You can get a fairly accurate conversion to text with this app - particularly if you only want a few lines of text extracted. But the app has an ODD WAY OF HANDLING ENDS OF LINE OR "RETURNS". This makes editing more than a few lines tedious when sharing to some destinations.

It's exactly what I wanted. You can take the image and convert it into text and you can copy and paste it so you can edit things. Unlimited pictures and no ads! I would reccomended this highly!

Shows you right away what the text will be recognized as, very easy to use! 4 stars because it's unsure of itself and constantly changes even though the changes are all equally close.

Wow this really works! My daughter had a project and needed to find some software that would scan a page of notes and 2 minutes later we're scanning it after finding this great software. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the effort to build this app. I would rate it 3 stars because it can't precisely scan and detect small, poor penmanship or hand writings like mine so as a result, the texts displayed were at mess.

I am amazed at the accuracy. The on screen preview of the recognition is helpful in getting a good reading.

I love it I can just take a screenshot of a street name and it will read it to me or read almost anything. Good for people like me who have severe dyslexia. Some people think that just children suffer with dyslexia but it's not just children it's adults as well. Just like to say a big thank you. To the developer. 👍

The app icon looks unpromising but after trying it out, it works so fast and stable, free and no ads.

This app is recommended for you all that want to copy word in a picture. I very like it cause it not a purchase or you have to used money for it. I use this app for studying in the past 8 month it took very well. Its a good app i will give 5 stars. TY for your help Text OCR

it lacks possibility to select several images or complete folder, and even if you want to just take from gallery it repeatedly switches on camera

Really helps with small print that I can't read even with my glasses. Able to blow it up enough with the picture to read anything I need. Great app thanks!

Reads half the text, then Randomly distorts whatever it has read. Useless app

This thing can't pick up handwriting for s***! I made sure my handwriting was impeccable, then I used the ocr... Does exactly as it promises! Copied RoyalMail barcodes from a photo of PCR specimen parcel label and pasted it into the Royal Mail app for tracking!

I just downloaded the app, tried it with a random image in my phn and it works to the fullest, love it.

accuracy for recognize is about 80-90 percent of standard font captured. Good job.
