Seriously broken & not functioning 80% of the time. Doesn't like to read text in the middle of the screen. Has trouble reading web pages. Will only read the first paragraph and then stops, continual reading of the page doesn't happen. The icon keeps disappearing & a reboot is nessacary to get it back! This helps with my Disabilities when it works 20% of the time. I'm always fighting to get it to work, it would be just easier if I read the page rather than spend 15mins fixing it. 2stars
I would have given it 5 stars πππ, but I have to wait to see how consistent it will be in maintaining the good performance I have just experienced from it; it turned a text into speech superbly, it has a perfect botton to save it to your internal storage. I love it! I will be back to complete the stars after some months when I see consistency.
Amazing. Great for creative writing. I use this app to "recite" the poetry and writing i work on. It's very useful to help iron out any glitches, though certain words do seem to be cut short. It even continues running when I'm correcting or editing the original copy in another app. Highly recommended! I just wish there was an option to change the voice signature, beyond the speed, pitch and volume control it already comes with.
Great app! Helped me out greatly! You ca type as much as you want, change the accent, speed and tone. Only thing is each time i wrote additional information on something that already existed, it makes a new copy after saving. i end up with many copies that cannot be erased individually, so i therefore have to keep all and dig through them all to find the final copy. Otherwise, loving it!! π
This has helped me a lot having been put on vocal rest for 3-5 days by the doc. You can save things you might need repeatedly and can have fun with the different accents. It doesn't always get the pronunciation right, so for a few words you have to spell things phenetically and sometimes put in an extra space, but that's fine. Causes hilarity in work meetings when things don't come out quite right first time...so all in all, a huge thank you for creating this app!
It is very easy to use! It helped me memorize things that I had to for school, and I can change the speed and tone of the voice, 5 stars because thwre are no ads to interrupt the text to speech. I do recommend to the people who made this to make a loop button where it just loops what you want it to say until you press the stop button.
Such a simple concept, but so much fun. I've been using it at least once a week for nearly a year now. I have made 7 YouTube videos with it (and a screen recorder app.) However for some reason it you type too much, it goes silent. Some accents can speak more than others. However because it's so rare that you would need to type so much, it wasn't worth taking a star of it just because of that.
You can't change TTS engine in this app. It's don't even use the default one from Android settings. It's okay, if you are using the built-in TTS (from Google).. But not with custom ones. I am using Ivona TTS (Salli, English) and VocalizerEX2 (Milena, russian). This app ignore android settings and read all text with most ugliest voices. And no options to change it. Useless app. T2S and FBreader, as example, works okay
Stopped working the way it used to. But it is very useful. I especially like the Create WAV file function. I don't know why it takes it so long to load the voice. It's didn't used to do that. And I have a faster phone now. Too bad.
Suckfest!!! Will NOT save wav files even though it's a choice, and there's not even a choice to save to mp3, the format needed to move and use these custom voice files for ringtones and notifications. I made 20 custom voice files. They ARE NOT searchable or findable, so this app is USELESS.
It actually worked. The only problem is that the files won't save. It did say that the files were saved but when I went to check, there wasn't even a folder named Music where the audio should be which is mentioned when you were to "save" the files. Care to fix this issue, please?
It does a good job especially with tts in American English. The only problem here is the lack of storage options. I wish I could save the audio it provides to an audio file but this app doesn't even mention such option.
I'm a voice actor and I used this app when I do my vocal recovery days (no talking all day). It's exactly what you want. Fast, easy to use, straight forward. Type things, it says it. You can even change the speed and pitch of the voice to your liking.
I installed this App because i prefer a female voice reading on any materials. The only thing i am disapointed about is the adjustment: i set it in "Very slow" but it works only in the App's demo; on the reading of the phone's Emails, Bible verses, and other Literatures, it dose not. It operates only on "Normal"
Does what it needs to do. Requires more options on voice types. Personally I find the cap on amount of words you're able to paste too small, would be great if that could increased. If too many are pasted then the application doesn't allow speech function.
Ive used this tts for private projects which may become public only with permission with this app but at least this tts helped me complete them in the first place! I like the feature where you can save whatever you typed in as a .wav! Not only that but you can customize the accent, tempo, pitch, and volume. Very good experience!
The fact that it let's you save text is very nice, and the adds aren't very intrusive either. My one complaint is that you can't change the voice of the speaker, but you can modify the tone, volume, and speed, which is nice.
I use it for my daughter with apraxia to allow her to express herself verbally. i wish we had the option to save and load different files so that we have different scripts for different occasions that we could load for different occasions. also moving the cursor should allow verbalizing from that point on.
As someone who has immense difficulty speaking in public and with people, I've found this app really helpful to say what I want/need to when I can't use my voice. Only kinda complaint about I have is maybe the voice pronounces things weirdly sometimes, but that's not a major problem imo
Pretty functional, but there's one problem- whenever I choose one of the english voices, it's the same voice as all of the other english voices. No accent, just the same monotone female voice. I kinda feel like I'm being ripped off, and I think the english voices should be as they are advertised (meaning that they actually sound like they're british or australian).
Seems to work good for short text but if you go longer text it won't play it and also when you hit the pause button you have to start over again when you want to play. I don't really recommend this app for $1 to remove the ads.
The app works offline both in Czech and English. Good job. Nice voice, little bit annoying adds but turn off WiFi and the adds do not annoy any more. English works offline immediately. For other languages first use has to be done online.
although it crashes a few times, its PERFECT. if you're looking for a TTS for youtube videos especially, download it!! it comes with a range of voices, plus the option to change the speed and frequency.
It does exactly what I wanted it to do. Very simple and easy to use. It's not feature rich, but that's ok as all I wanted was a simple text to speech app that has a simple interface with no obstructive ads.
When i say dont download this app, i mean dont download it. I was having fun experimenting with it then almost 5minutes after downloading it my tablet was frozen. After panicking for a good 10 minutes i powered down my tablet, mind you it didnt work yhe first 3 times, and when i turned it on it was back to normal but took a while to turn on gut i have told you! Dont download this app unless you want problems. Maybe it was just me but in all honesty this is my experience.
Dose what it's supposed to do. Don't change anything. I can highly recommend to have on your phone as a back up tool on your phone if one is rendered non-verbal, suffers from a speech impediment or has been non-verbal for some time Ads are there but it's nothing aggregious or in the face, I suggest keeping the usual banner ads. Very easy to use. Set it, forget it and type away to speak should the need or desire arise.
