TextFun : Free Texting & Calling

I paid 62 USD (Incl vat), and bought a 1 year subscription of a virtual number to get the ad-free version. It's not! It has hijacked my REGULAR Number, so that each time I have talked on the phone - without using this awful app - I get a video add afterwards. Not only annoying, but also dangerous, since I need to close the ad before I can get back to Maps when driving. The mini map window completely disappears, something that never happens with any other app. Customer service never responds.

It's not free. You have to give a credit card # for a 3 day trial. I have found lots of free texting apps where, after it connected to my wifi, I was able to immediately send a text for free.

I have been using Free Text Phone for awhile now and it works very well! I prefer that you show this message because I am talking here specifically about the benefits of your program. The messages have been successfully sent and others have come to me without my messages having any concerns or issues. This is a personal evaluation for my success with your Free Text Program!! It would be better if it didnt freeze up so much, also the app takes forever to open. Besides these couple of problems, that can be fixed, i think this app is good to have and use, especially when i run out of minutes and have to wait a few days til payday to buy more minutes.

Total scam. I select my number then sign up for a 3 day free trial. After I sign up it takes me back to the sign up page?? I closed the app and restarted it and went to send a test message and it said I need to buy credits or sign up for a plan. I go back to the sign up and it said I already have a subscription, but wont let me use it any where. Total garbage. Canceled the subscription through google play. Any one who uses THIS app is out of their mind.

Love the app, but had to uninstall from my main phone because it coincided with making my actual phone number from tmobile only operable for incoming calls and texts. Outgoing calls would only sporadically connect. This never happened before textfun amd stopped happening once uninstalled. Look forward to developer telling ne how to correct the problem.

Avoid!! got charged for calls that were not successful. some text messages did not reached to destinations. one reached could not reply my app or phone. the caller ID did not show as my local number. It messes up with my phone message inbox too. since installing this app, I'm having trouble to receive incoming calls. I sent the developer email asking for refund the credit £10. still waiting to my money back

It's a great app for sending sms and calls cos of the option of sending under an anonymous number which does work cos i sent a sms to my own phone to check and there it was at the top some random number, i was surprised it worked but it did, you can buy credit or get it free although the amounts are very small but so what they give you the app free and it works, plus you get a free 10 cents to start with, it's a cool app 5 stars *****., Thanks for the reply, It's respect where it's due. *****.

Horrible scam. I used the app then they charged me $99.99 days later. I tried to get a refund and google play denied it 3 times. I emailed the company and they sent an email back the first time saying google play will issue a refund as long as it's within 48 hours of the charge. I emailed them back letting them know it was denied several times. I have emailed and messaged them over 5 times now with no response!!! DO NOT USE THIS APP, IT'S A SCAM!!!

I made a couple of short calls/text & it was fine, BUT, I just downloaded this app & it's full of ad pop ups when I use my regular phone service after each call. When I'm not even using this app & it still has ads popping up. it's annoying. uninstalling

Terrible app. Text may be free but it's too time consuming earning free credit. Even when I removed the app I keep getting intrusive pop up ads on my phone. I highly recommend avoiding this app. It's rubbish

By FAR the worst app. I have ever come across. Charged my account immediately and now the app does not work. It gives red point when I try to send message. It has never sent message and I can't get any customer service. This is a SCAM. RIP OFF

"free" it's not at all free. It says free in the title but it will constantly bug you about picking a plan. Plus it's only free for 3 days then it starts charging $19.99 monthly without warning. Do not recommend this app

My teenager ordered the service without my permission they charged me $100 dollars on my credit card and I canceled it immediately but never got a refund. I sent them several emails to which I never got a reply. They need to be reported to the better Business bureau for not refunding a canceled subscription which was canceled within less than 24 hours

Terrible, horrible, irritating and an extremely MASSIVE waste of time. By the time I was done chasing my tail in circles with multiple attempts to get the app to function as it claims. By the end I was to the point of "I'd rather dig my brain out of my ear with a spoon" than to ever have to deal with such RETARDED FREAKING OKIE DOKE BS MISINFORMATION SPEWING APPS like this one ever again.. You only get to send one text!?! This app is absolute trash!!! How are you only going to give someone one text?? Listen up people, don't waste your time!!!

I signed up for 3 day trial and got a number 3 days later I log in and it keeps wanting me to pick a number. I was charged 19.99 for service I can't even use and. It sounds. Like I'm not the only one. It's pandemic we need our money if u can't provide service. I want my money back. I'm gonna start a signed petetion requesting every user who has lost 19.99 and then never got service get the money back and this app be shut down. Rip off don't spend ur money here

I mean I like the app , but I think that you should make it to where you can send a text without using credits but call with credits , I think that if you could send messages without having to use credits it would be a lot better . This is just an idea .

It's a scam. Nothing free. They ask for $19.99 for 300 minutes and 300 texts. Probably they never heard about TextNow that is free for unlimited or the new AT&T Prepaid plan for $15 also unlimited talk & text plus 2GB high-speed wireless data. Uninstalling.

Wrote a review gveing a honest view of the app they gonna hit me back with the we have a 3-day free trial for you after that you must pay and find the plan for you like tf i wanna sign up for 3 days of a free text app when there are free text apps that let you text 100% free bc they get their money from running ads and supplying a free text app

I was never made to sign any agreement or anything and was charged a ridiculous amount of money! Reporting this to the Better Businss Bureau if I cant get in touch and get a refund. Can't even find a customer service number. Definitely a scam. Do not install

I've downloaded this app for trail use but developer of this app deducted my money of 99.99$ and automated subscribed 1 year subscription. Which is totally fraud. I emailed them several times but got no response.

I do not even have this app I only came across it by accident. This app is advertised under the name TEXTNOW with the #1 in the top right hand corner. However after opening this app I realized it is not TextNow instead its actually called TextFun. These two apps are not the same things. I use TextNow which gives you unlimited calls and messages with no hidden charges. I have read the comments for TextFun from very upset customers. To find out this company has money bf the 30 days is illegal.

This app to they total scan. They charged my card 9999 for a service that I didn't authorize that I don't want that is garbage anyways I cancel the subscription as soon as I saw it the charge within like 20 minutes and they refused to issue a refund I feel like their refusal to issue a refund is possibly race related and I cannot afford this $100 it has already cost me late fees on my rent because I couldn't make my rent because of this fraudulent charge Google should be ashamed for having this app on their store and the developer should be ashamed for scanning people stay away from his app at all costs I see I'm not the 1st one to have this problem be aware this app is a scam

This is a good application to have as a back up line of communication as an older android user having it removes a lot of unwarranted stress. I strongly recommend this to anyone...remember Backup or plan B always needed.

I honestly thought the app would be beneficial for all of us but it's not because it won't work in South Africa. After so much time spent downloading the app twice. i so wish they could catch these culprits for lying to us.

You can't call or text anyone without time or credit! Super annoying. you can't even call any of your contacts without inviting them to get the app. STUPID!!

Charged me $20 with no permission when I dont even have it installed. *I saw your reply to my review, I've sent everything you asked me to send to refund my money and yet I still havent received it, or any response at all. If the app was worth it you wouldnt be tricking and scamming people into spending money they cannot afford.

This app is IN NO WAY FREE!! FALSE ADVERTISING! With all the apps out there i immediately uninstalled it because immediately after they offer a supposed 3-day trial they want $99.99 from you. Not worth it at all
