Textgram is an app that allows you to write text on photos, or edit captions (captions editor), or create a new photo with your own design. You can start with an empty canvas, insert pictures, add text and filters to create your own unique artistic design. Then you can either save your creation to edit it later on, or share it with your friends over Whatsapp, Messenger, Twitter or any social media or instant messaging application.
Emoticons Galore
Textgram App allows Android and Apple users to put emoticons into the message to liven it up and give a better representation of the meaning of the message. From here, you are taken to the part of the app that is really incredible. By using the buttons at the bottom of the screen, you are able to decorate your text with the hundreds of different options that Textgram App provides. From here, you are taken to the templates part of the application, and you can choose from the hundreds of different Textgram templates. Each template provided sets a different tone to your message, so no matter what kind of template you are looking for to beautify your message, there will be one available.
Sticker Options
Textgram App also allows you to choose from hundreds of stickers to add to your message. These stickers have a wide variety of types, and there is one for every mood or occasion. These stickers can easily be re-sized by using the zoom feature on your smartphone, so there’s no need to worry that one might cover up the text of your message.
Import Images
If you still haven’t found the perfect sticker to add to your message, there is an option to import images from your gallery and use them inside the message. This means that not only are there hundreds to choose from in the application, but there are endless stickers you can use from online sources!
Text Effects
The text-effects section of the application allows you to add effects to your text, such as reflection, rotation and color. This feature allows you to further customize your text message, adding an even more personal touch to your message. You can adjust the font, import your own fonts, or add shadows and many other cool effects.

I've used this app on and off for a long while and it's really helped bring out the creative artist in me in those times. However, like its predecessor, I still notice that it's unstable and stops functioning after several repeated use of the textbox feature, so THAT still needs to be fixed. I'm glad you've included the Italics I pointed out earlier, but the Undo feature's still missing. Overall, I love the app and thank you for a good job, folks!
A very useful app. I post poety and stories as @jpg_poet. My one and major issue is the fact I have to fight to keep my text size constant. The app keeps resetting the twxt size to fit the box, so when I want 70pt font I get 26, or I want 15 and get 80. Its a right pain. It would be great to be able to set and lock certain options for text boxes, including size, text size, position, and while I'm wishing, the later order of the boxes. Looking forward to future development.
I am extremely sorry to say that the earlier version was really amazing. In the updated version the huge collection of fonts in store 1)textgram 2)system is missing. The app collapses when the background store is opened. These are highly disappointing to me. Please return back those beautiful features. I prefer this app for it's unique feature of editing received text messages in a very pleasant manner. Thanks with a lot of expectations.
I use this app a lot for my instagram page, but now every time I try to save a design it crashes and I have to uninstall the app for it to work again. The problem keeps repeating, and I cant tell whats happening now. I use an android phone. . EDIT: I had to completely clear the app data and cache in the settings in order to keep it from crashing. This seems to have fixed the problem (at least for now) and my save designs are still there.
I really enjoy using this app. It is easy, user friendly and allows me to ssve and reuse designs for new posts etc. There may be a tutorial, I'm not sure, but if there isn't, there should be. Just to provide some education around saving designs vs. Saving pictures as I had to learn the hard way. I also wish there were more free font choices and stickers.
The store is blank. It spins for a bit and then just shows nothing. I can't add any new backgrounds, fonts, templates, frames etc. that were offered in the previous version of this app. X clealy does not mark the spot for this app. The old version still has stuff in the store but won't download anything I click on. I like to change my backgrounds frequently and do not want to have to rely on my own photos all the time and would like to use generic backgrounds.
I loved this app because it was the best app for saving designs and editing the same ones... but I don't understand why all of a sudden it spontaneously deletes everything, after a few days (roughly 2 months or so). 3 stars because I have lost so much of my saved work via this. I used to write my own quotes almost every other day. Never had issues with the older version on my old phone (textgram). Very upset that I lost all my quotes, twice over a span of few months !!
Overall the idea of the app is functional however I've had many glitches on my Android (Samsung S8). Font size would change from what I set and it is quite annoying that there is no way to lock the image in a certain position (easy to shift it by chance when editing a text layer). Also I'd recommend adding at least 1-3 actions back & forth buttons like on Canva and other apps. Cheers, Tatiana
The colour palette to change text colour just doesn't do anything, it doesn't work. It's really frustrating. Edit: the issue was with high contrast text, you maybe need to add a notification to let people know they need to turn that off to use the app. I've updated my rating.
Once was my favorite photo editor but now that it's been updated multiple times with different product logos, I've had to buy all my fonts, stickers, backgrounds and frames 2 or 3 times now. And now with this version the store isn't even loading or stable. If it did load the store, I'm pretty positive my purchases would be gone like the last 2 versions. UPDATE: Now when I double tap to edit text the work and app vanishes (crashes) completely useless at this point.
I can't reliably upload my writing to the Instagram Feed. Somedays only "Instagram Direct" shows up and it just provides a list of my friends and wants me to choose everyone. Please make "Instagram Feed" an option in addition to Instagram Direct and Instagram Stories. Also the "Font Size" function is not user friendly - I know there are two options - +/- and the ability to move the button to larger or smaller font and they don't work well together. Please help correct if you can! Thank you!
Glad to see a new textgram out, because the old one went out of business and it has been very useful in my business! I really wish that whenever I save my designs to come back and edit them later they wouldn't mess up with the highlighted color behind the words and pictures disappearing.
I am able to make incredible pics, posts, and cards. This is the best. I have been using it for years but everytime you rate; it changes old post. Or if you need to transfer or reboot on phone. Love the improvements and new templates. Thank you.
i have been using this app for more than two years now, it's awesome and i love it, it doesn't affect your picture quality when editinig or after, but the custom size selection is still very funky and anoying when trying to get my picture size, please you guys should change it so that when you add a background picture it adds it with the picture size by default, i will be very happy if you do this, thank you so much for designing such an awesome application like this, love it.
Love this app! So easy to use and downloading the different texts, stickers, backgrounds, etc are super quick. The only complaint I have is I wish there were more stickers that were similar to emojis like food, relationship, planes, animals. But even without that I can just add text and put my own emoji and it works the same.
This app used to be best before the update. The best thing was to adjust the image size manually as we like and now you have to enter numbers as of we know what size measurement needed as we like for every but of the screen. Simple feature but failed badly to provide!
It keep changing the size of the fonts when I store the pictures. Very frustrating. I have to take a screen shot instead of storing it. Why? The older version did the same, just updated to this one to try to fix it and still the same problem.
Really love this app; simple not too many prompts most importantly.. Word editing is excellent being able to center text, adjustment to text sizes simply by interactive screen touch. Canvas style options, very nice; the temperature of the options are suitable for the writer to express; well done developer..
Works like the old Textgram app that Google Play Store booted out but lacks the ability to get to my photos stored online in Google Photos. I have to use another app to grab my own photos from Google Photos and then save them to the phone to be able to use my photos. please work with Google to solve the problem.
I am using text gram last 2 years. There was no problems. Now I changed my device to samsung m51 android 10. There is a problem. The bold option not working. Don't know why. But in old phone works perfectly..pls solve this issue..pls fix bold option. It's not working. I love this app. Because I am a instagram content creator. It's very useful to me. And it's the best app best on text writing pls solve
Thank you so much guys for bringing it back! I was so devastated when I found it had left the store but this was a random gift seeing this back in here! Please keep it updated and improve what you can because this is the best Photo-with-text app. I've ever used. My motivation is back. Once more, much thanks for your dedication.
Still.... The best.... Except for 1 feature.... The enlargement of picture - I cannot adjust it horizontally or vertically... I can Don it before - but now - I can only do adjustment on the corner area - both the vertical and horizontal side adjust simultaneously.... I like better the previous size adjustment feature...
I have used this app for years, and it has become MY FAVORITE. I particularly appreciate the variety of fonts, and the many variations in the fonts' colorings, shadows, reflections and highlights. The only thing I could wish for is the capacity to use larger pictures for backgrounds - but I am very pleased with this app nonetheless. THANK YOU ♡
This version is horrible! I've been using this app for 5yrs & loved it until now. You can't resize pics freely & when u save ur pic it resizes itself & resizes font so u now have 2 screenshot it & u no longer have the option 2 use the same system font that ur currently using on ur phone 2 match whereas it used 2 automatically be the default font when u opened the app. Now this app is just like all the others or even worse & that's what has always set it apart from the other apps.
This application is very good excellent, its very easy to edit a pic in various options, ( i have only one request please if you make a option of colour picking text tool directly from picture not from selective like (plain, gradient, pattern) if we put the text picking tool anywhere in the editing picture we directly pick a colour from picture. Like adobe photoshop 7.0 version eyedropping tool, The Eyedropper tool, i hope developers make this happen. Thanks
I honestly didn't think this app could get any better, but it has! Has all the same features I love, but reduced the amount of app crashes! It's great. This app offers a lot of customization options, but remains simple and easy to use.
I do really like this app and keep coming back to it, but there are a few issues. When I make adjustments to a picture and then save it, the saved picture is different to the original, as things have moved. Plus, when resizing an empty canvas, not all of canvas fits into the screen. With those issues fixed it would be an app worth paying for.
