It picks up speech very easily. It is 90% accurate at least. The other misspelled words are close phonetically so I can figure out what it means. This is a life saver and works as well as a real cart accommodation. Innocaption tty for cellphones is also available for closed captioning by real people on your cellphone for free. So between these two apps then I can communicate locally and long distance. I love both.

I use it for church, besides the talk, the mic goes around in the congregation for comments. It is unpredictable, there were two times it was 90% accurate, but more so it is gibberish. It is frustrating, I know the WiFi has to be on.....or sitting under a speaker in the ceiling....but oh my goodness, it gotten so that I could cry from happiness or frustration. I don't know if I can take it unless there is help in troubleshooting?

This app has come in so handy! I'm severely HoH and normally have to read lips or guess at what people are saying which is bad at times. I use this app so often! Medical appointments used to be more stressful but not any more. I had to go to the ER recently and this app was a huge help since I can't read lips while everyone is wearing a mask! It does have some trouble if there are other voices in the room, but that just requires going to a quieter area. Thank you Devs!

I use this with Geemark adapter to landline phone. It's a life saver for landline. I use Innocaption for calls on my cell which has a live transcriber. This is not as accurate but works with landline (with adapter).

I like this app, but find that sometimes, it does not pick up the conversation. Is there a way to use an external microphone plugged into my Android tablet to improve the app's ability to "hear" what is spoken? Thanks.

Yet another app that claims to pick up speech, shows the volume going up and down and doesn't pick up a single word, the page stays blank.

It's not bad, but it absolutely fails to translate incoming speech from the phone it's on.

It has made life easer with my wife after she lost her hearing. Nothing else like it... To bad it doesn't work with PC..

Very useful, very helpful for deaf person like me. It helps me alot to speak and make conversartion with others. The accuracy is great, around 85%. Maybe not that perfect, but at least it helps dear persons like me who counts on lips reading which only accurate 20%. And the most value is, it helps me much to get valid conversation specially on an important meeting with client. It reduces lost and miss communicatin. Thank you very much for these developers, and thank you ALLOH. Alhamdulillah.

Found this by chance and won't now leave home without it!! Fantastic app that even after a few days has already taken the pressure off not hearing family members. It's also very accurate and I, for one, am very appreciative of the developers. Going to share to other deaf and hoh friends. Many thanks.

I've had this app for a while. Used it three times in the last week or so in different situations. It's so so in translating speech but as I said Different situations and mostly grouups. The only trouble o have is that now the app is crashing more and more...giving an error something g like the google app has stopped working. Restart or close app, or give feedback. I then have to turn off the mic in the app then back on. Samsung Galaxy s8. Update 10/2018. Still good but wish that the app would rotate between landscape and portrait display as the mic on the Galaxy s8 is at the bottom!

This application has good speech recognition using the Google engine which is excellent without training. I gave this to a friend who has difficulty hearing and he wrote a rave review, see below. This application would also work very nicely for dictating reports if it had the ability to edit the text to fix the occasional error. Maybe in the next version?

I like it. Very helpful for me for one on one or two people talking at normal rate. But I would love to have a group talking to keep up

really nice speech-to-text app! i give tours with hearing-impaired guests and this makes my life much easier. the only thing i find missing is a keyboard i can use to correct errors made by the speech recognizer. otherwise, great work!

Very useful for the hearing impaired like me. But the community living around me is speaking Malayalam which is not available in this application. If Malayalam is added it Wii be helpful and I am ready to pay for that.

Struggle to speak to my Grandpa who is almost completely deaf. This app makes communication so much easier and saves me having to bring a note pad and pen every visit. Also teaching me to speak properly
