textPlus: Free Text & Calls

Used to be a decent user experience. As with most free to use apps full screen ads (that you have to sit through because there is no way to close them) ruin the experience. You don't need to play an add every time message gets closed or the user returns to the main menu. It's intrusive and counters any effective use of the ad. I used it years ago but now it's a POS.

May 10th , 2022 ...If you need to text quickly don't use this ad app. It won't allow you to text when you need to because the ads cut you off. It also has a new ad that says want to flirt! And won't allow you to continue your texting if you get started. At one time this was a great app but now sad to say it's an ad app!😬

The app has an advertisement that pops up and covers the microphone when trying to talk text that irritating and could be dangerous also the app freezes the keyboard all together every time i use it this is also potentially danger it gets a 2 because of the way to make free time you have several options I've downloaded it twice and it still does the bad stuff however of fixed my review would change to a 5 it's that simple. After comparing options for a temporary means of communication when my phone died, I downloaded this app. Honestly, I am pleasantly surprised! Outgoing calls to cellphones appear to be cheaper than to landlines, incoming calls are free, missed calls are shown in notifications. There are various add-on options, such as removal of ads, etc. I highly recommend giving it try. *Just keep in mind, it relies on wifi.*

I only make a few calls and texts a week and didn't want to pay 100.00 per month using my phone, So after only using a landline, I found this app. I dont really watch the ads to gain more minutes. I like how you can buy things with minutes stored but you'd need to watch ads for years to accumulate minutes. Gift cards not used can be exchanged for minutes. More option would be appreciated. I would recommend this app to anyone.

Texting itself (like actually sending a message to someone) usually works fine but sometimes when I go to compose a text, I just can't type anything in the "message body" after picking a contact name, keyboard buttons pop up and the cursor's in the right spot but nothing shows up. Haven't called anyone can't say if this works or not. TONS of ads, banners and fullscreen gotta watch em all vids, ALL for TikTok so far (5-6hrs use). I get they're in this for $, but it's really pretty bad, imo.

the app is hit and miss I mean when it's working that does what it's supposed to do and then sometimes I get this deal where I can't type in the message box like no characters will come up so I got to back out and close the app clear everything out and then come back to it and then redo the message and it's pretty annoying so I even bought credit too and I still have ads after I bought credit so that's pretty annoying too but I guess that's that three stars it is..

Frustratingly I have payed for the keep my number service for 4 yrs. because although I hardly use the app a few of my friends had the number and I was keeping it just in case. I canceled my subscription because they took my number months before the end of the 4th so my reason for subscribing was gone. I don't suggest any of their paid services because apparently they can break it off at any time which is poor service. Free text was fine, but I'm so frustrated I'm just deleting the whole thing.

Such a headache! The ads are ridiculous. If I'm going to have to watch an ad after each phone call, I should receive credit for those ads also. Not only that, this app lags terribly! The reload is also the worst! After closing the app, when trying to go back to it, it just stays stuck on the logo page. I have to constantly delete and reinstall the app in order to go back to using the app. And, not to mention, it never let's me just log in, I have to sign up and then gain access to prev. account.

This is the absolute worst texting app I have EVER used. If I could give zero stars, I would. It plays an ad any time I click on a different screen, it says my texts have sent but they actually don't sometimes, and you never actually know if it's gone through or not. I can hardly even use the app for it's designed purpose. I honestly feel like I just downloaded an app that can only play ads and do nothing else. False advertisement. Waste of time. Horrible app. Don't even bother downloading.

First off ... it's free. You have to spend a little time watching videos in order to get cash in your account so you can call but that's not hard work you know.... I don't always hear the phone ring when someone calls me but I do see missed calls and so I call them back. Callers can leave a message w/voicemail. You can block calls, you can text all you want. Text Plus is easy to use and it functions in everyway that I need. I've tried other free phone systems and textPlus beats them all. Thanks

Good lord the ads. Literally can't do anything quickly on this app. Also the ads they allow disable the home button back button and multitasking buttons, if you even accidentally touch the screen while an ad is on it will bring you to the google store page, not only that but I've accidentally downloaded an app this way because of how frustrating it is. I've gone back and forth between text plus and the app store repeatedly within 5 seconds because I can tap the back button.

Been using this app religiously for years every once in a while I've had to get a fresh number because I'd been inactive to long, but since newest update it's cleared all my messages, doesn't recognize my account, lost my balance I had and to add insult to injury it won't even let me get a Canadian number anymore only offers me states not provinces now and even when I choose a state it says there's no avail numbers SMH WHY DID YOU RUIN THE App!

TextPlus App works pretty well except I don't get notifications when I receive any sort of message which I find super strange. I've even uninstalled & reinstalled the App, checked the settings in the App & on the phone numerous times and I still can't figure out why I don't receive any sort of notification when a message comes in or when someone tries to call me through the TextPlus App, it's hella strange.

Pretty good app Soo far for being free. Have to watch ads to gain minutes but it seems best to just text the people you want to call you and then the minutes are free. Call quality is good, a little choppy but the messages seem to have issues sending or coming in. I get allot of miscommunication texting through this app. But, like I said for a free app it's pretty good. Can't complain too much when it's free.

Highly recommended app ever when it comes to communicating your love ones and you don't have enough budget for it. This app provides a good access for for love ones mobile phone. You just have to watch advertisements and there you can have credits to call. I hope it would not change.. PLEASE..

Hey before you could individualized group message now I couldn't? Could you fix this? And also can you please allow to send more than 5 individualized group message? Like 10 or 20? Thanks

it's pretty cool it's free you know this could be a little better if they would add like 100% free texting right away instead of watching ad videos to build up credit towards free texting so it's not 100% free texting it's 100% calling for you I guess from what I'm seeing so far but I have been having a hard time sending out free texts without watching the ads I'm sorry let me change that around it's calls I'm having a hard time with if I don't build up the credits from the ads but the texting

It works well enough for a texting app. When a call come in it gives ya maybe 2seconds to get ya phone & answer it. By time u hear the 1st ring the callers info & slider to answer it is gone & u have to go all the into app just to answer the call. Then if u quick enough to answer it u can't hear the caller, caller can't hear U. But as long as I got WiFi the texting works pretty good. ⭐6 outta 10⭐ It is a free texting app, Just like ya can't expect Silk Sheets @ RoJoes MoJos Motel. 😱😝🤘

It's fine, considering that it's free. What do you expect? Ads popping up there and there, you can't send messages if that person doesn't have this specific app. But it's free so what do we expect? Overall it's a good app, you can call freely on your on will. You May have to watch some ads. But it's cool, So I rate this four stars!

Can't log in using Next+ or Text+. Same error, account was working normally before but the app logged me out and I can't get back in even if I try to reset the password I keep getting an error message asking me to contact support. Support didn't send me instructions that would resolve my problem. I did not link my google account, it is a normal account with email and password. My password is correct since I keep it on a password manager. I used to really like this app. ☹️

This app when on hold drops calls when u get phone call rings but stays on home screen rings with no way to answer calls when on hold in back ground the app it goes clear so when u go to open app back up nothing is showing up to open app back up to phone call cant needs alot of bugs worked out of this is worse text app I've ever use or seen !! Id Gave no stars if option was allowed

Way too many ads and now I can't log in using my Microsoft account because an error saying my region or time or device isn't supported? Worked fine for 7 months up until I changed my cellular provider here in Canada. What's up people

Good app. Can not do lot of advanced things but functional to make and receive calls and sms.

This textplus app is not working on my Infinix smart 5 Android phone,i tried many times to access it , but it's not going ,it keeps saying app not in your country or device or play store,am tired pls any help here ??

It was great had a cool settings but only let me call one person and gave me the wrong area code and I couldn't change it to the right one good concept tho

I like it. I can call to any country with low rate and i can earn cent credit just watch the ads, so i can call free with that.
