TFN 2 - Text Adventure Game

“The Forgotten Nightmare II: A New Reality” is the second chapter in a series of all text (Interactive Fiction) adventure games. Going against modern game evolution, the only graphics you will have is a map. It is a playable story which uses your imagination to paint the pictures. It is not simply a multiple choice game but has the ability to accept full commands with seemingly endless and often comical responses.
In the first chapter (The Forgotten Nightmare), an accident causes you to lose all memory of world events and even your own personal life. With your memory now returned, you find yourself a passenger heading to an unknown destination with Jack and Robert as your new companions. Since the great disappearance over three years ago, no city, town or village has escaped the fallout and your escape is hindered by an unexpected turn of events.

Since this installment is a continuation of the story, it is highly recommended that you download the first chapter which is available as a free download – It is simply called "The Forgotten Nightmare".

Truly an amazing app! I love the theme and the message! Keep it up and can't wait to see the next chapter. The only problem I have is it's just a little confusing at times, and there are still lots of spelling errors. The Christian theme was a big +1, but it was not quite balanced equally, only at the end, which was a little strange and distracting.... but amazing still. The layout is easy to learn and use - the map is very very helpful!

Like the first game, TFN2 ends with some unanswered questions. Unfortunately, however, the ending to this game did not have an emotional impact, nor did it feel like a "complete" game. I'm also a bit worried that Jewish people are being set up as antagonists, which would be disturbing if true, but that isn't clear yet. Same great game play as the first, with the same issues therein.

Definitely, best text adventure "Second Coming" available. Intelligent Design and arguably, most user friendly of it's kind. Perfect for saints or sinners (and anybody in between). Obviously, countless hours and consultation have been put into the final product and well worth the effort, in downloading this. Impeccable menu options, and extremely visually appealing. Inclusion of the map, is just as good as graphic based games. Remember to play the original. Follow the path to victory.

People should grow up and stop complaining about the biblical elements. If you don't like it, don't play it. It's a great game and sets itself up pretty well for another chapter. I hope there'll be a third one soon.

OK, I aced the first one and loved it. I was cruising through this one until I got really stuck. I cannot get into the apartment building. The walkthrough says to open and enter the main door. The only door I can find is in the alley by the police station and its locked and my keys don't fit. I have backtracked the entire town, room by room and reread the walkthrough several times, trying not to get too far ahead. I really don't think I've missed anything. Am I overlooking a key or another entrance?

Christian themed material. If you don't mind the religious content, you will find this a fun text game.

I enjoyed the first game, but this one was okay. I feel the story was a little incomplete. Overall, I give the author a thumbs up for writing the story.

I enjoyed this much more than the first one, which was very good anyway. Just as exciting, and the God bits helped the story rather than feeling like clunky add-ons. Good work - thank you!

Thank You 5 stars is not enough! People please quit complaining about religious aspects, who cares? There are far more offensive stories, and topics. Its an amazing read whatever your beliefs are just use your imagination! PLEASE CHRIS WRITE A THIRD! AND HOPEFULLY MANY MORE! UPDATE: I REALLY WANT A THIRD ONE I'M GOING NUTS. PLEASE WRITE ANOTHER!

This was great but I did it in one evening, so wish it could have been longer. I really enjoy this type and of game, haven't played anything like this since the days of MS Dos!! The addition of the maps is fab too. Can't wait for part 3 :-)

Not a bad game at all if you don't mind the rather heavy religious theme.

I like how this sequel added all the encounters with other folks in the game. As opposed to just being by yourself the whole time.

I can't reach the place where the dull axe is according to the walkthrough. Only stuck in the place where that marked "question mark" in the map

Despite being a bit preachy. This game is well made and enjoyable. The map makes travelling much simpler and saves you the hassle of drawing your own. Great work!

The end was kinda stupid and cliffhangerish..make another one and maybe ill consider changing my rate. Otherwise it was very entertaining. You should make other stories with the same layout. Also rather pushy with the religon don't ya think?

Was really getting into it before I completed it, only real negative was it was just to short x

Pro: There are decent puzzle elements to the game. Cons: No depth to the story. No emotional attachment to the characters. Belief systems are shoehorned in, particularly right at the last moment.
