That Shopping List

Handy, and I really like that I can categorize each item. That way I shop by section of the store. It synchronizes easily so two people can shop apart together. It also doesn't seem ask for too many permissions. (A big plus)New features i'd like to see: Add multiple stores. 2) allow me to add icons 3) allow me to link and share photos and brands...for instance, biscuits. My partner likes a certain flavor/brand, if they are out there is a second choice, but I need a photo to figure it out.

So far so Great! No 'give me your Google, Facebook, email or else!' garbage. Has good features that you can customize. It has auto-completed all, but 2 Items in my list. Removing ads was easy and quick. I would suggest adding gift feature for when we are overcome with joy, using this app and can send you a dollar or 2 out of appreciation. Really good app, maybe from someone tired of the initial 'trade features for personal info' on app start, like I am. Thank you for this app!

First impressions were very good. App looks good, easy to use. But too few categories of items. Sync doesn't work as should. Only small portion of list is synced to other user's phone. Trying to get all things synced I added all items as unchecked in the list. Didn't sync fully either. Ticked the checkmark option to set all items as done. But that simply wiped my whole shopping list! Now my whole history of shopping is gone. A lot of my time that went into creating the list, straight to the bin.

Only swapped list app when prev one kept crashing. This has good customisation options, is easy to use and the quick screen lock is BRILLIANT when your hands are full in the shop and you need to jam your phone in pocket/waistband /bra for just a second...

Really like the app. Synchronisation is a bit wonky sometimes such that you have to pull it down manually to synchronize. If that is fixed, I will give 5 stars again. 4€ to remove adds is a bit too much for me, for 2€ I would be in as well.

I need more time to figure this application out. A lot of people seem to like it so I'm guessing it's just me that doesn't find it user friendly. For example, if I start a list for coke and I'm adding an icon they have these little sticker like things of a cup or a glass. I want a grocery list app that has a template of real items you might get from the grocery store and a feature that will search recipes and import the recipe. I only found one recipe in this app. I also want coupons imported

I like that you can reorder the categories so it matches the store layout and you can just work your way through the list from top to bottom. Moved from Google's shopping list after their redesign and I'll never go back.

It can parse a pasted list including numbers, has a dark mode and is easy to use. Item classification is a nice extra. The screen "lock" is handy but it doesn't appear on the actual lock screen.

I used to love this app. I was able to copy and paste from my sms and it would separate all the items into individual shoppoing items, now it doesn't, i just a get a block of text as one shopping item. But now, i enter my list and my items don't even show now - my list is just empty. They just disappear from sight.

First and last impressions review: icons instead of category names are terrible. No deli. No crackers or cookies. You can create a category and pick an icon, but they're mostly useless and difficult to figure out. For a while I was calling one alien headed baby. Need real categories, sorry.

The app is great. I was challenged with editing entries, but have figured it out. Editing was an issue b\c auto correct messes me up more than when I text.)

This is the best shopping list, I use this weekly with my grocery shop. I am able to put it in order of the isles so I don't miss an item and I can add my own products in and add its our category.

Great app. Easy to use. It's great to be able to categorize items, specify volumes and check them off as I go. For more personalisation it would be great to be able to take photos of the item you need in case someone else is purchasing for you or you found a new product and need to remember the brand. Edit: You can drag and drop to sort your categories in the settings under 'set up list' and create new ones. I have these sorted in order of the Isles I tend to go to. Items are alphabetical.

As a long time user of Out of Milk and I've been disappointed about the lack of support from the app, I have made the move across to That Shopping List. So far I'm impressed. The app is easy to navigate & personalise to suit your own taste, style and icons. It passed the test at the grocery store; I was able to line everything up in terms of store layout, so I didn't have to keep darting back and forth to collect items. It made shopping simple and easy, nothing was forgotten, which is great!

EDIT: The developer has answered my question. It turns out the functionality I wanted was there and I just hadn't found it. Updating my rating to 5 stars to reflect both the quality of the app and the responsiveness of the developer. Simple and easy to use, but lately checked off items seem to be vanishing from my list. I like to keep all items in the "recently checked off" area, especially if I only buy them occasionally because it helps me remember to look and see if I need to get more when I'm making my list. Recently I've noticed that these rarely purchased items disappear after a while. I suppose I could be accidentally deleting these things, but I never notice it happen with the stuff I buy regularly, so that seems unlikely I would like to hear from the developer whether this is a bug or a feature, and if there's any way to disable it so I never lose items.

This app has really been a covid-19 lockdown life saver! Before 2020, I used to just go to the store when I needed an item or two, lots of trips to the store every week. But this app helps me to organize my shopping trips so I make fewer trips. I started just using the stock memo app that came on my phone to keep my shopping lists. This got to be a pain after a while, because as I checked off the items I purchased, I left them on my list, so I wouldn't have to re-type them again later. I just unchecked them when it was time to buy more. So every shopping trip, I was endlessly scrolling and scrolling up and down the list to find the items I had unchecked. I really wanted something that would keep a history of the items I included on my shopping lists, but be able to move my unchecked items to the very top of my list, so I could see all the items for my next shopping trip together at the top of the list. This app does just that, and does it very simply and easily. Extremely useful.

I really like having a thorough pantry list that I can choose from to build a shopping list as needed. What needs improved: it's slooooow, like when shopping and I am checking items off, it takes several seconds between each click, meaning I can't just quick click things off. Also, yo get to my "master list" I have to scroll all the way down and click "history", then click "category" - I'd like to set it to default instead of "Priority" and a shortcut on the main screen would be ideal.

I've tried about six of the popular shopping list, each with it's own unique features. I like this one the most because it's the most intuitive, they really put a lot of thought into the user experience. They kept things simple to use while having nice little features that that set it apart. Notably automatic categorization and sorting as well as the automatic quantity box. The features only adds to the shopping experience, no need to fidget with the app to get stuff done optimally!

You can organize so many lists with this app , all in one place , easy to find what you need when you need it. Not just groceries! Create lists for individual stores, for furniture , hardware ,groceries , clothing, gifts, etc. Or notes to remind. Quick and easy! Love it. I'm more organized now, and find it easier to stay on task. Thank ypu!

I like this app. Totally recommend it. However, two small things I'd like to see are the ability to erase a previous entry, like if I misspelled something and didn't notice until much later. Would also like a blank line to write out whatever we'd like. Sometimes I remember items by the packaging colors or size and would like a line to note it. But the app is good as is.

Pretty good but you have to pay attention to what you list vs. what you actually buy. The list just moves items below unpurchased items rather than drop them completely. Good for me because I always tend to buy the same items each week. Occasionally I add new things but I tend to forget what I have vs. what I want to try, like new products. Still it beats scribbling on scraps of paper I instantly lose!

It's a great shopping app, especially at the moment when I want to be really organised going round the supermarket. It's so handy that it bunches your list by department. I'm struggling to find how to clear the ticked off items from my list completely without either having to do it one bt one or deleting the list and starting again. If I could do that it'd be a 5☆.

I gave this 5* in March 2020 and a year on I would do the same. Such a simple app, it's made shopping so much easier being able to sync between devices. My only quibble would be that on occasion, changing the categories of items is a bit onerous (it'd be lovely to be able to do this on a web-based application) but that's a really minor complaint overall.

The backup feature is a bit mysterious and needs to be explained better within the app, but the core functionality is sound: a list with categories based on the aisle/shop you're in, checkboxes to remove the things you've bought, and a history of things you've added in the past. The app knows what category things like potatoes and bread belong in, but you can reassign them if you like, which is useful because it sometimes gets it wrong - candles are not a tinned food!

Most apps I use for a week and then drop. But this app I use all the time. I love it's easy to use interface. I use it in conjunction with an Excel spreadsheet that totals my groceries. (This app doesn't yet have a calculator.) i then duplicate my excel grocery list into this app by simply clicking the items I need. That way I can easily check off items as I buy them. but before I buy groceries, I enter in the app the total spend I have for each grocery item.

it helps me to remember all the items I need when I go shopping and I don't need to have paper lists that I lose. I tap the item I want and it goes up to my active shopping list and when I purchase that item at the store I tap the check Box. It goes back down to the recently checked off list. It also has a function that I can have several different stores listed. I also include any coupons because I'm always forgetting coupons. I put in expiration date in amt box. Can't swipe between lists. It is now 8/12/21 and I can't sync my new phone with my old and I thought I wiped out all the information I put in the app over the years I've had it. There doesn't seem to be instructions on how to transfer/sync new phone with old. Please help. Do you have instructions I can download from the net? I guess I'm not tech savvy. Thank you. Makes grocery shopping easier for me in many ways. I am rarely without my phone, so my grocery list is always with me. I have lists for different stores, and different lists for different needs. I have an ongoing list, but sometimes I NEED something specific for dinner tonight, cause Rachel Ray cooked something amazing and I only need 3 items, not an entire grocery run. Simple, easy to use.

This is very nearly the perfect grocery list app. PROS. The custom categories, color coding, and even the ability to determine which categories appear where on the list, (which is helpful for arranging a list based on your typical route through your regular grocery store). CONS: There needs to be an easier way to add items with numbers in their name. I'd really really love a widget of this app. It's the only reason this is a 4* and not a 5* product for me.
