Would have rated much higher but, as stated by some reviewers, I had trouble with the pointer not being synced up so that it wasnt clicking where i pushed it. I also ran into a problem towards the end when I was supposed to have access to the knife game to get into the attic, but it didn't appear. I checked all the walk throughs and had done everything right so I guess it's just a glitch. Frustrating to go through the whole thing and not be able to finish it.

The puzzles are interesting enough and so is the story line. Some don't give much information on how to solve them... also, at times, the screen press is slightly off center so you end up selecting the wrong part of the puzzle.... overall it is a good game.

Still have the original CDs from when I bought this game back in the early 1990's. It was tedious on a PC back then, but at least the puzzles were playable. You can't complete the can puzzle on a phone because you can't pick the can you want, if you touch one can, another is chosen, not the can that you want. Second I went to and it looks like I can't finish the game on my phone. Will have to try on tablet or emulator I suppose, or just finish building my MS-DOS box and play the original.

It's much better playing this now on a handheld device than PC as per the original as so easy to dip in and out. One thing I would suggest though is default the controls to classic. Without this you miss so much of the events and what you can and cannot do. I would imagine a lot of frustration by people with the game who haven't found this!

Stating that controls on Android are bad is an understatement. I'm not even sure I'll be able to pass the game because of terrible hitboxes on one of the puzzles. Still, this is one of the best games I've had a chance to play from the genre. Most of the puzzles are actually challenging. Great story. Happy 25th anniversary, I wish I played before!

Openhouse mode doesn't work. When choosing either corner, it takes it to a blank screen with the opening text," I don't remember how I got here" and then blank except for the glasses in the right corner, board in the bottom corner etc but nothing else. If I hit the glasses and touch a lighted area, sometimes all kinds of multiple pyramids open up, buggy as hell.

I used to love this game, but when you altered the programing, it was robbed of much of it's former charm. First, the graphics have degraded in copying the game over from a computer. The fix for it makes the game too slow to play. Secondly, I am always being pressured by an ad for face book now, even though I paid for this game! And third, you altered the functionality of the microscope puzzle, so that your opponent never makes any mistakes now, RENDERING THE GAME UNPLAYABLE PAST THAT POINT.

Great game but they didn't properly map the pointer with the puzzles. It's beyond annoying when you know the solution and the you keep clicking where the pieces need to go, only to have the game decide that you meant to click 2 tiles over and reset the puzzle. I was using a pen pointed stylus and the interface still glitched. Fix that and I'll make it a 5. Until then, unplayable.

Game is sluggish. 3D like graphics but not much to interact with, and controls are terrible. I was at the cake section and despite having changed the audio to subtitles only it still kept repeating verbally with subs. It was so annoying, and the controls on pieces to select kept messing up i got irritated and just uninstalled. Has potential but not worth anything as it is right now.

It is indeed the 7th Guest. Not remastered though. I'd ask Trilobyte for the high res renders to start with and bump up the definition to today's standard. It looks and feels like a lazy attempt to milk a great game that was the pioneer in the nineties and has been butchered by this release. Speeding up the transitions and wrapping the game into a touch friendly environment isn't enough for this to celebrate 25 years from it's original release.

The game isn't terrible. I don't care for the visuals but it was from 25 years ago so I can understand that. The controls can be a little frustrating at times when you try to click on something and it registers as clicking somewhere else. The biggest problem for me is the Google achievements. No matter how many times I unlock an achievement it locks again less than an hour after I get it.

I noticed a slight timing glitch during cutscenes where the audio didn't match up with the video. Now, rhis COULD be because I play on unlimited mobile data and not on Wi-Fi. Other than that, this brings back such very happy gaming memories for me. Would love to see a VR take on it, too.

Playing this game, you fight your own demons....nah jk this game is really good the dialog and acting could have been better but still over all great game it has challenging puzzles and it is very addictive once you play it. 4 out of 5. Even though it's supposed to be a "remastered" the graphics haven't not been improved at all and lighting is slightly better than before the controls is a bit more fluid, at times, overall still a great game 👍

I loved this game back in the 90s so I was happy to see it here. But sadly the very first puzzle, the front door, isn't there. I even click on the little glasses icon and it does not even show that the puzzle is available. Very disappointed. At least it was free on the Game Pass, but I'm not going to bother trying to see what else is missing. Edit: In the original version you could immediately do the door puzzle. I have the original.

im so glad they ported this to android! such a great trip down memory lane with this one. I had so much fun re-exploring stauf's mansion and solving all his puzzles. The new touch controls work well but are a little off on some of the puzzles. I really hope they port the sequel The 11th Hour.

25 years to work on the game and somehow they made a version worse than the original. The original itself wasn't much even for its time. But modern day it serves as a nice time capsule of the 90s FMV craze... However this version is uglier, slower, worse controls, and... well pretty much everything you can think of. Either get it for PC or watch a playthrough on YouTube.

I bought this game a few months ago to re-live my childhood. Unfortunately on my Samsung S7 on android 8 it would fail to install fully after saying the app needed to download additional files after the initial download was finished. Made sure I had enough space, ect. Today I upgraded my phone to a samsung S10 running android 10 and the exact same behaviour occurs. Not looking for a refund but would think others are having issues as well.

After playing the original long time ago I was looking forward this game. I quit because I got very frustrated with the poor controls. This makes it very hard to solve even the easiest puzzle! Hard to recommend.

Jes. G. Mar 9, 2020

Just like the original. Some puzzles are coming back to me and some I don't remember how to solve them at all. Still as challenging as ever. As for those complaining on the graphics, they add to the nostalgia of the original.

T7G is my favourite game of all time. I still have my original DOS copy and do play it on occasion, but when I saw it on the GP Store, and will all the extras it comes with, it was a no-brain purchase. I'm pleased to say the game plays very well, save for a few minor glitches, and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're a fan of the original, you won't be disappointed. As Stauf would say, it's time to "Come Baaaaaaaaack!"

Mat. M. Dec 5, 2019

This game has issues. Firstly its size and gameplay speed which is huge and painfully slow. The videos are awful and the rooms are barren, so why? The voiceover is mindnumbingly tedious. The controls are awful which will lose you games and send you back on a load of resets. Then the pompous english. Don't use the word sprytly? Or tad? Tough. Some puzzles are good and keep you going, but some are shockingly logicless which will get you into a habit of walkthru guides. Needs another remaster.

Worth the price of admission to the Stauf Mansion. I originally had the game for My PC in the early 90s. Itholds a sense of nostalgia for me. Playing it on my Galaxy Tab S4 is a bit different then a clunky 90s PC from 1994. Has a bunch of extras which is cool. At the $3.99 price tag I enjoyed it.

Lea. D. Mar 19, 2021

Oh this brings back memories of my mum pinching the pc to play this. I remember trying to play it as a teenager and having my mind blown at how annoying the maze was. Thank you for bringing back amazing memories and making it available for me to play again. Definitely worth the money just for the nostalgia trip alone 🖤

Never got a chance to play this back then. Now I get to and all I'm running in to is bugs. Go to click on one thing and the game decided did you mean this one. The can puzzle I can't complete because it keeps bugging out on me. So it's unplayable.
