The Advocate

Update: Now the notifications will not even open in the app. The sharing was never fixed either. Uninstalled. I like the app, but sharing doesn't not work or the option is not available on article. So I have to hunt it down on FB or The Advocate's website. I am considering uninstalling.

The Android version is all but useless. I also use the apple version. It's better, but slow to load and at times the text will not come into focus.

I enjoy using this App. periodically. I have been, and still am a subscriber to the Times-Picayune-The New Orleans Advocate for quite a while now. Prior to the New Orleans Advocate coming to the New Orleans area, I was a "long" time subscriber to the Times-PIcayune. I will always be a fan of the "printed" word. The Times-Picayune-The New Orleans Advocate is blessed with a host of fantastic writers - In each & every section of the newspaper. Accolades to "All" employees of these very fine products - Both the hard printed copy of the newspaper, as well as the "Electronically" produced additions. As an old newspaper employee with the Times-Picayune, one of the joys of my day is sitting at the kitchen table every morning with my newspaper in hand, and a good cup of coffee (with chicory of course). New version would not work at all on Android. Now app finally opens but crashes halfway through each article. All i can do is scroll headlines in app

Please fix the push notification option. This was the reason I removed the app over a year ago. I am trying again b/c I enjoy the app, but the lack of this function working properly is going to drive me away.

Less interesting. No all news is right. It wont come in on phone or internet. False infomation half the time. I was suppose to get it delivered but half the time they didnt. Or when they did they put it in water when it rained or put it in street or put in grass. They put it on top of ant bed and igot stung had sezure and heartattack because of that. I had adk toput to up on right sideof drivewayabout a third of way up but they didnt .

I love the news and articles. The only thing I have noticed is the app works slower than other news apps.

I have been a long reader of the advocate for years getting a morning paper everyday. The Advocate app keeps you inform everywhere. Always with breaking news for our local area.

It is very convenient and cudos to the person (or team) that came up with it. More Southern University info please.

I use this app every day. It's a great local newspaper that keeps us in touch with all the news around Southern Louisiana as well as around the globe.

Cannot read an article without the app crashing, extremely frustrating.

This app is horrible. Takes too long to load. Not updated often enough. How can a company who's only business is providing the news be so bad at doing it?

As a South Louisiana native from the Greater Baton Rouge area The Advocate has been a constant feature in my life. Love the digital access while retaining the printed standards.

A former born and breed Louisiana, now live in Michigan. Took me a long time to get the Advocate online. Now I can read my newspaper daily that I so miss for 14 years.

I travel in my RV and its wonderful to have the E-paper daily to keep up with my home town.

It will not update on the front page. Still says news from Monday.

Since they have blocked access to the website, this app is useful IF YOU LIVE IN BATON ROUGE. Useless in New Orleans

All of a sudden the app crashes on my android. Totally useless.

I don't like the new update cause it keeps crashing after it been up for a few minutes

Having been born in Baton Rouge, I always read the Advocate and knew what was going on. After moving, I now have a way of getting the advocate and feeling like I'm back home again.

Very informative of all news and current events taking place.

News Alerts - app should add option to turn off. Don't like spam!

Have been getting the Advocate for 40 years. I love the on-line access as I can take it with me when traveling.

The stories are good but sometimes out of prioritical order.

Usually up to date and informative. Can be biased towards political views

I would rate higher if there was more news and less sports.

Very poor. App won't open just when most needed.

The app is good since the paper elects to limit access on their web site.
