This is a relatively short story with quite the variance of endings. The endings that I've read do seem to be cut off a little short, but are written well enough that it can let you draw your own conclusions. There are elements of nature vs industrialization but with the author's own twist. I enjoy it so far and would recommend, especially since it's free and so well thought out.
It is action filled and mostly well written , but it's too high fantasy for me, I wish the magick used by the Alder was a little less extreme, but that's just me. The real problem I have with it is the bug I ran into. After destroying the city I was sent back to the factory scouting part and as if I had chosen not to rescue the prisoners, quite frustrating.
Like others have said, it's way too short. None of the endings feel like endings. Well, that's not true. The do feel like ends, but more like the ending to a prologue and the real story starts after that end. They, however, do not. Really unfortunate, I was looking forward to more. It's a good enough premise, but I wouldn't recommend this as all endings leave you unsatisfied and wishing there were more. Hopefully they do actually write more, but until then I'd pass.
The game is amazing except for the fact that it's way too short. Just when I thought that I was getting to the good part the game said that the story was finished which was quite disappointing. Also, adding a settings or menu button with an option to start a new game would be helpful.
Meh, it was ok overall but short. There is one big forced decision I noticed while reading through the second time, and I see other people mentioning the same thing. The story also ends on a cliff hanger like there should be a chapter 3 but the writer got bored of writing. I would happily increase my rating with more chapters, I love the universe this book starts to build, but it's just too short. I don't want to be an advertisement, but if you want a really long story you should try Magium.
The game is amazing, very few grammatical errors and an interesting world. The only real issue is that it's far too short and the ending feels abrupt. Right as things begin to get really fun, it cuts and you're left wanting more.
short, and I wish I could give back by cryptomining (not in order to remove the ads, I don't mind watching them if that helps). other than that, a well thought and captivating story, nice and simple choice system.
It's short, really short like I reached the end in about 20 minutes. Was really expecting it to be longer. Also, there's a part where your MC talks to prisoners you released where a paragraph repeats itself. Other than that pretty good. 8/ 10
Im having fun with it so far except for the fact the game ignores my choices. Instead of saving the prisoners i chose you retreat, but the game made me go and save them anyway. What is the point in giving me a choice if you will make me do the a different one? This game is also VERY short and leaves you on a cliff hanger.
Making this review after the game requested it near the very beginning. The request is made too early, I think. Haven't seen much yet. But so far, so good. I like the interface - kinda refreshing from all the other CYOA games. No stats (yet). Story is interesting but still too early to see if it's gonna hold up.
Great imagination, need more linguistic skills to convert it into words. Also, English is bad. found some loopholes in the story, the end is abrubt. Still its cyoa and had fun playing different choices. story is too short and doesnt has any satisfactory ending. Highly Overrated.
Seems like an interesting story, but a lot of the choices seem bugged. They often choose the option you didn't click on, and at one point it moved me back in the story to a previous choice. Not really playable in this state.
The story was very short but enjoyable. There were some grammatical errors but it doesn't take too much fun away from the material. I hope I get to play/read the next chapter. Thank you devs and good luck on future updates!
Hard to read, descriptions are overwhelmingly common and complex, it doesn't flow. The words used are mixed between an old feeling and modern, you can't tell what era the world is in. Every personal thought is started with 'you' 'I' would've been a better choice. No back story, no context which was the worst part. But if your looking to increase your vocabulary, this is the book for you!
The game has buggy choice boxes. A right pain in the arse. It also felt too short. I really do hope theres more to the story. Other than I really enjoyed it. I also loved the art style involved in the menus
An enjoyable story overall, but I was genuinely surprised with how short it was and how abruptly it ended. Im giving this 4/5 since I want to support smaller indie companies, but If Im being completely honest it's more of a 3/5. The story itself is has an extremely interesting premise that is brimming with potential, and magic is used very creatively by the MC! However: A) While not terrible, the grammer isn't the best and B) It lacks description in areas needing it. Hope a sequel is in the works
Extremely short. I've finished it under half an hour. I didn't die once, the story was just beginning and then it ends abruptly. The overall plot has good ideas tho. Too many English mistakes.
It's 10 min long..yeah it's a good start. Yet it's basically a single page of a story. 1/100 if not 1/1000th of the length it should be. it has potential, but I've seen longer backstories on d&d characters. It's a middle school essay at best.
There is an issue with the first mission. I chose to retreat back to the temple, but the story went the other direction. At first I thought I pressed the wrong option by mistake. Then, after destroying the city, I went to talk to my grandfather and suddenly it went back to the path that I would've chosen (retreating). This sours the experience immediately. I do hope this issue will be addressed.
Seems like it could be fun but the game has a game breaking bug. Everytime you're grandfather comes back the game takes you back to your first mission. It puts you back in the same scenario even if you never made the choice that would put you there.
Fun game with a good story, but exceedingly short. Just as the story felt like it was going to take off with **SPOILER ALERT** your character joining the United resistance in order to stand against the evil robots, and the harsh and inhumane actions of your former family, the story comes to a full stop with no indication of a continuation or a sequel of any type. Sad really, as it had the potential to be a gripping story.
While I'm totally fine with ads since they help support the dev, when I'm trying to read and there is a Moving animated ad at the bottom, I I can't focus on the text. pleasechsnge the ad banner to a non moving ad so I can enjoy the story. Ithanks
I honestly thought it would be another same ole cyoa game but this has blown my expectations out of the water. The only downside is not as much variety and some paths are shorter than others. The story is very well written and has me in anticipation for the next update. All in all it's an OUTSTANDING experience for such a small publisher. GOOD JOB!!!
If I would have known this volume wasn't finished, I never would have started it. Very frustrating!! A lot of punctuation and spelling mistakes. Has great potential, but needs more choices that matter.
just started, seems pretty interesting. it keeps me choicing and i want to find out what happens, so yeah. i will update my review as i venture further into this thing. UPDATE: Finished. i wish it was longer, because it is fun. also, thinking the writing may need a little bit of work (few typos here and there, the writer seems a little inexperienced but that is okay, they wrote a wonderful story). Overall, I give this creation a 4/5. Worth playing! I gave my email to them for updates!
Well written but buggy. Tried plating through twice and both times i'd get so far to be jumped back to earlier in the story as if i'd mad a different choice. Kinda loops in on itself.
Wish it had a go back a choice button. Could really use one of those instead of starting from the very beginning every time. Other than that story seems good so far. Havent finished yet but i am interested to c where this story goes.
Good story but waaaay too short. The way magic is used in the story is the best representation and most creative way I've ever seen it used. Not even worth the read though there isn't even half a chapters worth of content here.
keep getting to the canyon and if forces me to save the prisoners even when im selecting the retreat option. then i get to the point at which you can ask the grandfather about his mission, amd it goes back to the part of retreating from the canyon. Is this just a glitch or done on purpose? if it is fixed rating will go up.
The story is. . Decent, from what I've seen from one run with little grammar mistakes, and actions that seem to impact, as I was defiant. Now, my issue. Every 2-3 choices or dialog, boom. Ad. Doing something? Ad. The story is also short and ends on a cliffhanger. I'm unsure if this is meant to be a finished Game, but compared to some I've seen, I'm not satisfied.
