The Anfield Wrap

Have been listening to, watching and reading the Anfield Wrap for years and the app is an excellent way for those trying it out to dip their toe in, and subscribers to get the most out of it. Only thing lacking is an archive of old content and a search function, but I think that's coming. Overall, top notch. Up the reds.

Been listening to TAW since 2013, the amount of quality content has never dipped. The App is great though I mainly use PC.

Good little app from a great bunch at TAW towers. Content is obviously great and the app is super. Lets you stream easily to a Chromecast or similar.

Top class app with great insight into the fan experience of Liverpool. All shows download quick and easy, if you're a Liverpool fan get on this ASAP.

Good app. Excellent content. Best in the business. A must have for all the reds wanting to follow the journey.

Will give 5 stars when the buy tokens feature is fixed. Errors out every time, no matter what pay method I try. GPay, credit cards, Google Play funds.

Brilliant app with loads of pods, videos and writing for subscribers, and even non subscribers can use tokens for the content.

Best audio podcasts and writing for LFC fans, makes you feel closer to the action. STILL the business 10 years on....

The App looks really slick so far and functions well. Only complaint I have is that it doesn't seem to function with the remote on your headphones (i.e you can't pause a podcast by pressing the pause button) which is a bit of a nuisance when listening at work, especially when you need to pause the podcast to speak to someone. Also, I've had one or two occasions where I was listening to Spotify and the music on that stopped because the app started playing a podcast on its own.

Edit* the below has been fixed* Looks great but a few issues (using on Android):1. Most of the time, a podcast will not start from where you last listened and will reset to the beginning. If mid-podcast you open other media (such as a twitter vid) the TAW app may need restarting as it shows that it's playing, but there's no sound. 2. The app should open when you press the notification/control bar on your phone. 3. Better library options needed, with playlists. 4. Needs to work when offline.

Obviously its early days so there are bound to be a few niggles. I can only compare it to what I've used before when listening to podcasts so there are a few things that at this stage would prevent me using this app. If i pause a podcast and come back later it goes back to the start and not where i left off. I find that i cant pause and restart using my headphones button...something i can do when listening through podcast addict. Nice looking app though and easy to navigate/download. Promising

Welcome addition to find all TAW content in one place. Would massively be improved by a filter for podcasts, videos and writing so that you can go to particular topics (by match, month, or title such as Review, Talking Reds, Ratings etc). Would save scrolling through the list or add a search function. Possibly an indicator to show what has been played and a "mark as played button". Ability to pick up where you left off and also ability to create a personal listening/watch queue would be great.

The content deserves an 11/10. The app itself is meh. It delivers the content but the app is pretty limited. There is NO: dark mode, podcast playback speed control, video download, video quality selection, data use management, download manager (one can't stop once started), written article saver, and no sharing (of free content). The app does maintain the visual stylings of the parent website, is clean, and the controls simple.

5 stars for content but 1 star for the app performance. Downloading the podcasts is not only extremely slow (I can download a Netflix show faster) but also very hit and miss. More often than not it takes several attempts to download any podcast with some getting as far as 95% downloaded before you get the failure message and have to start again.

A good app for the content and functionality, but the app really struggles if you move to another app that begins to play sound. Occasionally the app will continue to play its podcast over the sound of the app, but more often than not it does stop. However if it does stop, when you go back to this app to restart the podcast it wont restart, and you have to shut down the app to get it to start again. On the majority of occasions the podcast will start from the beginning again.

Made up TAW has released their own app with so much quality content now all in one place. Any chance of a future update enabling the downloads to be set up into playlist format though please? It'd be great to have the ability to rearrange the order of my downloads to suit and also to have them play continuously one after another....making it more convenient listening for when driving or on the go (similar to beyondpod).

Love the content and love LFC. However few issues remain. I was being billed twice each month for one subscription and left to me to identify - now sorted. Customer service is bit slow. App is glitchy, loses its place when close window or won't delete shows when pressing the x button unless leave and re-enter the app to refresh. won't up date or refresh new content via 4G, unless on Wi-Fi. podcast addict is able to do so on 4G so hope this is sorted soon. The TAW shows are mustard though.

The content is incredible and I'll continue to support it, but the app is really buggy. Podcasts stop and won't start again unless I play something in a different app (and then repeats after a minute). Podcasts auto play when I open the app, or won't even start until I close and relaunch the app.

I think the content these guys make is great. app seems just as good. im not a full subscriber so the option of tokens just for content i want is perfect for me and 250 complimentary tokens was very much appreciated, very clever way to do business. one improvement i think could be made is maybe being able to make a playlist or a que, handy when driving but also have video content able to be played when the screen is off. great job. im not someone who writes many reviews. great work!

Takes a frustrating amount of tries to start an episode. They just don't start. The experience is not good. Loads of animations that take time with no option to turn them off. Sticking with, because no other alternative for full audio. Wish there were an RSS for the full audio subscription.
