The Asheville App

the app has not worked on my phone for about a week now. i un-& re-installed, still the same "Whoops, something went wrong Cancel Retry". push 'retry' and the same thing happens again. i haven't used the app in a while, so this may be an old issue. anyway this was a handy app for walking along and reporting water and sewer leaks and tree limbs about to break power lines. the main thing i like about it is that this seems to start a 'paper trail' that the CIty has to respond to. i hope the app is still alive and some one will fix what's broken in the app.

The best part of this app is "Where's Parking." It lists the six major parking decks, gives a link to their locations on Google Maps and gives a constantly updated tally of the number of open spaces in each parking deck. It's not very clear, though, in stating that you must enter the Biltmore/Aloft garage from S. Lexington Street if you are traveling North. Use the Biltmore Ave entrance if you are traveling South.

App issues have been reported. On Android you need to clear the app data storage and it will start working again. They are working on an update. On Iphone upgrade to the latest version.

I have tried to sign up numerous times since this was created and again in the last couple weeks but I always get a message that 'something went wrong and I should try again later'. Finally, I posted something as a guest, which it informed me was submitted but now...there is no record of it. Useless!

EDIT: I just emailed the City's IT guy and he fixed it in a day! If you check now it should be working, though you may need to delete and reinstall. Orig: Find Parking not working on my phone. Just like others. Emailed the dev to find a fix.

Installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, app never opened! Apparently the most recent update is incompatible to usage.... uninstalled again.

Stopped working months ago. Hit "retry" endlessly and nothing happens. Used to be a great app. Would be nice if it would work again.

I used to love this app for parking but now get errors on my Android phone. I have uninstalled and installed and nothing changes. Not sure what happened. Too bad!

This thing is just great. Very accurate display of spaces left in the various parking decks downtown.

Find Parking option no longer works in Android version. Fixed as of 8/3/2021

Updated review - app no longer wors on my Android 12. Start it and I get "oops! Something went wrong" then it's dead.

Reported a abandoned car almost a month ago. Never moved passed submitted.

This app far exceeds my expectations

It's great to have an app to report problems from my phone, but this app is too unsteady on the Samsung Galaxy S4. It usually crashes when I click the report type, but often it doesn't crash until I'm almost finished with the report and I have to start over which is quite frustrating.

and ways to make service requests.

I've used this app several times to report hazards in the road that may be a threat to cyclists. Every report has been reviewed and responded to in a prompt and professional manner. I highly recommend everyone use this app to better the town.
