I love this game...BUT, I'm uninstalling due to the fact that you 1) Pay get puzzles (after the 10 they give you). 2) There are no hints or helps. You can watch an ad, I guess, but there's a glitch there, saying can't connect to internet (no problems on any of my other apps). So that's bothersome to me! I really like the simplicity of the "actual game." You have to figure out puzzles in order to find the key to unlock the cage, and set the birds free. The graphics are stunning! A+.

If you've played any of The Room games, you can skip this. It doesn't do anything those games do, and it does everything worse to the point of mediocrity. The graphics are clean but lack character, the foreboding tone of The Room games are replaced with nothing, and the gameplay, while wholly playable, are devoid of challenge and make no logical sense. It's just fine.

Exquisitely designed game! The birdcage is 3d and the graphics are gorgeous. This is close to holding something in your hand. The detail is amazing. The creators have crafted a truly beautiful game. The escape is not difficult but, the joy of this game is in the artistry. I play certain levels again because it is so lovely and relaxing.

Well, this game is not The Room or even Machinika Museum. It's easier that both the latter games. You have to think (a bit) about what you're doing to solve the puzzles, though. I wonder where all the notes are ? 'Cos I missed a few, but really didn't see them to collect them. Worth 5 ⭐ because it had to be developed and programmed. I'd cut my teeth on this game; then move to Machinika; then The Room Series. Nicely done.

Cute game. I was a little disappointed that there were almost no birdsongs. And when you unlock the birdcage in each level, nothing special happens. It would have been great if there was a different birdsong for each level. It would have been more exciting to continue. All in all though, it is an original and fun game to play, and the ads are livable. Well done! Thank you!

Cute game, love the mechanics, fun to play the free levels. But...ridiculous to ask $5 for the whole game with no other options. It's way too simple, got through the 10 free levels in 20 minutes or so. You have ads, why not allow access to all levels and just pay if you don't want ads.

Simple, fun puzzle game, release the bird from a cage by solving puzzles. Graphics are basic but pretty cool. ads aren't too annoying as they don't interrupt gameplay like some. I honestly think the fees for next levels are overpriced considering it only took my 11yr old, 30mins to complete the first 10levels which are free. Shes not interested in xp, notes or gems either. Just the puzzles.

Similar to the Room games as far as the controls. Very beautiful graphics. I wouldn't say it's too difficult, but it does make you think logically. I wound up buying all the levels, and I never buy games for my phone. Trying to get 100% of the achievements now, just have foeturae (seemingly meaning pregnant in latin, so I'm going through every level looking for a pregnant bird), and an old friend to go. It took me roughly 2 hours to complete the game... still cheaper than going to a movie.

This game is visually stunning, the sound and music is beautiful, and the controls are smooth, responsive, and intuitive. i will go as far as to say the controls are superior even to "the room", that is high praise indeed. the game is sadly let down by the quality of its puzzles, i will happily pay for a premium game (i have many times without regret) but i wont be buying the extra levels for this one. the game offers no challenge, its way too easy.

Ash. R. Mar 20, 2019

First of all, it should be clearly noted in the description that the game is not all free! Only 10/25 level can be played before you have to pay, and not cheap, for packs of 5 level each. Would have been more honest to say it. Plus, the game is at supported, so why can't I chose between free+ads or premium? The 3D graphics & mechanics are beautiful, but the puzzles are short & not challenging... I didn't pay to continue.

This is primarily a series of puzzle scenes with the same goal in each case: release a bird from a cage. There is a story you can discover slowly as you complete levels, but the puzzle are the focus. The graphics are beautiful. I have played only to level 5 (I think 10 are free), and I have already chosen to pay the full price of $4.99 to remove ads and unlock all levels. The puzzles are still rather easy through level 5, but they are growing in complexity. The Birdcage 2 is available, also.

It's really a different kind. Some puzzles are easy, but because it's made in such another way, I love it! Also details like not just using a key (tap and done), but you also have to turn the key yourself in the right direction and stuff like that. Love it! Also freeing a bird every time. Really nice! Edit: there's a glitch in l8. To not spoil: i keep doing the same thing as in the hint, but the lock stays closed Fun for the free levels, not gonna pay for more though.

Cute simple puzzler, but at times feels like you're just going through the motions instead of actually solving anything. Frequently repetitive. Cute narrative element started out promising, then ended abruptly and abandoned, which was a shame. The story element was what made me buy the full game, only to discover a rushed ending with no real resolution. Bit of a bummer, but overall it's a cute game to while away an hour or two.

Honestly a lot to improve. The bird animation at the end really gets on your nerves very quickly and you can't skip it. The backstory and drawings are comically bad. The puzzles are simplistic and the fact that you have to find a key downgrades it to a hundred doors type game. The game is clearly a cheap copy of The Room but at 5 times the price.

The "sale" isn't really worth it. It's an ok game, visually nice, but the puzzles aren't challenging at all. I felt like I'd played it before the first time and the story didn't have much to it either. The game just ends with no closure or sense of satisfaction. I've seen free games that had more effort put into the story and puzzles. Waste of $5.

I like the concept. True, it's very room-esque as far as the style goes (I love all of The Room games), however, these puzzles are so short and easy it is really makes the game not worth it overall. I almost want to buy the extra levels just to support the developer, but I'd need to see something more challenging. If they're the same difficulty as the free levels that would be truly disappointing.

Really neat game. The puzzles are intricate and interesting without being near on impossible to solve like some other games out there. The graphics are just lovely and the whole premise of the game is top notch. The only real misgivings I have are: 1. The game keeps crashing on my Google Pixel C. 2. I wish there was a way to earn some of the other bird packs through actual gameplay instead of having to purchase them outright.

It's a fun game. You solve puzzles to pass levels. The puzzles are fairly easy. I would have rated it 5 stars except that you get only ten levels to play free. After that you're expected to pay to continue. There are ads between levels so why do I have to pay money? I went through the ten levels in roughly 45 minutes, then uninstalled because I don't want to pay. It's a shame. You could have used ad revenue, but instead you chose to charge your players money. Not cool.

Reminded me of a much lighter version of 'The Room'. Graphics and gameplay are absolutely perfect but I found the puzzles a little easy and the game felt more like something to pass the time rather than a true brain scratcher. I played the first 10 free levels but I couldn't get myself to pay for the rest. Still, this game could serve as a good introduction to puzzle solving games.

Han. A. Oct 2, 2019

Barely a game The first 10 levels were excedingly easy and I flew through them in less than 20 minutes. The 10 free levels were so easy in fact, I don't really feel like paying 5 USD to get the other 15 levels is worth it. The graphics were good and what little backstory was present was easy enough to follow. Hopefully the story is not required for the sequel, because you can't get the full story here without paying, which is the most frustrating part.

I liked it, but wished I could have loved it. On the basis that the puzzles were just too easy, 30sec. on average to complete a puzzle then pay £1.59 for the next pack, a little too expensive hence a 4 from me. Postives are: I like the concept of the birdcage, easy to control, lovely graphics, needed to be more challenging for me, sorry.

This is a great mystery game, its so enchanting whenever i get the cage open, and the puzzles are at the right difficulty so players can solve with out getting too frustrated. the only bad thing i could say about the game is that the graphics could be better but they are still pretty good. Also that its kind of annoying that you have to pay for the other parts of the game. I wouldn't buy the in-game stuff because you'd just be wasting money,Bc after you play the lvls the game is over of course.

Love this game so much. I adore mystery puzzle games like these. The story was interesting and it was worth paying the few pounds for the rest of the game since I'd rather support a developer that puts thought and care into their game than paying for pay-to-win mechanics you get in 'Free' games. The birdcage gives you a large sample of what the game is before you would actually have to pay for so you know exactly what you're getting. My only issue is I can't get the FOETURAE achievement!

Having played the first two "The Room" games, I was looking forward to some great & challenging puzzles in a similar vein to those, and came across "The Birdcage". Here are my thoughts on that game: Pros: Fun, responsive controls, fluid animation, gorgeous graphics Cons: Pretty easy to figure out how to win, very short puzzle levels, have to pay for access to anything past level 10 - in groups of 5, not all at once Overall, a fun way to kill some time, but not worth paying for full content.

gre. r. Mar 4, 2019

It is a nice game but a little too easy for me. The graphics are drawn nicely, the music unobtrusive and the 3D game play is smooth. The puzzles might challenge an 8 year old, but not me. I have completed the free levels but the price for the remaining levels is just too high for such a simple game.

Zer. Z. Apr 12, 2021

I agree with the other reviews. This game gameplay and graphics wise is awesome, and I love the ominous atmosphere and the tone of the music as well as the sounds of the cranks and keys turning, it is all really satisfying. But the issue is with having to pay for the extra packs. Honestly we should have an option to watch ads to gain access to those if that is how it has to be. Granted these extra levels are pretty cheap but some people like me just don't have the option of payment through apps

An enjoyable puzzle game, but not a taxing one. The controls are responsive, the art is attractive, and the feedback is pleasantly solid (things click into place with a satisfying weight). The full game is £5, which feels a bit steep for something finished in an afternoon, but is probably fair, given the work put into making it. I hope the sequel is more challenging.

Loved it, bought it, played it & then purchased #2 without hesitating. I couldn't wait for spare time to pick up where I left off. If you've stopped mid-chapter you'll need to complete most of the little challenges again. I do wish the epilogue explored a wider range levels but that alone doesn't affect the overall experience. I plan on playing both, again. Cheers!
