Similarly to the previous game, I really love the idea and the puzzles. The levels have really cool mechanics and look pretty. The problem is buying all the extra levels is too expensive. I would gladly give Β£2 for a pack with all the extra levels. They want Β£6! Another thing I don't like is the cutscene drawings/animations/story is very poor quality. It looks like it belongs in a completely different game. It's a shame.
Played the whole game! Far more challenging and enjoyable than it's predecessor. Lots of secrets to uncover, visuals were nice (excluding the bird animations), controls worked well. I had a great time! But it has an unbalanced difficulty, jumping from easy to difficult way too often. I personally didn't like the music either. I felt like it's suspenseful themes were annoying me to hurry up all the time when I clearly didn't need to. But definitely worth trying it out! First 10 puzzles are free!
Enjoying very much. Graphics are gorgeous , as they were in the original game. Bit of magic in this game too! Some elements are easy then you find a challenge that takes lateral thinking to solve. Music still on as , again , I don't find it intrusive or annoying. My biggest challenge is putting it down! Don't want to get to the end because it will be.... (have more stars **********) thank you for this lovely game.
A rather pretty and whimsical take on the logical puzzle box. Overall the puzzles aren't difficult but at the same time not so easy that they are boring. The apperance of the game is enjoyable and the three dimensional movment adds an extra sense of allure. Overall I had fun, not enough to want to finish the game but if you want to waste some time or if you are really into puzzles you should check this out.
I'd say this is a big improvement from the first one, which was super simple and very short. This one does START simple, but it seems to have a tougher secondary "mode." I'm still working on it so I'll update once finished! However bad math is really irking me and I need to point it out. $5.99 is NOT 40% off $7.96, it's 25% off. Please fix this error on the the creatures pack button and I'll fix my 2 star error with a 250% boost ;)
Loved The Birdcage game so of course, had to have this second one too! Overall, I was pleased with this game. Exciting graphics, pleasant music and intricacies of the puzzles are fascinating. My only drawback with number 2 edition was that once secret areas were found, the "wand" didn't work well, the controls on the wand seemed to falter and at times were downright maddening. Knowing I was doing it correctly made it even more frustrating. Fix this feature in The Birdcage3 [ ') ], please!
First of all, it should be clearly noted in the description that the game is not all free! Only 10/25 level can be played before you have to pay, and not cheap, for packs of 5 level each. Would have been more honest to say it. Plus, the game is at supported, so why can't I chose between free+ads or premium? The "magic" feature is nice, but you're just told what to do.. no thinking.. The 3D graphics & mechanics are beautiful, but the puzzles are short & not challenging... I didn't pay to continue.
Fun but...you get 2 packs for free. Each pack has 5 levels. I will sometimes pay for more lives/ levels but it needs to be worth it. $6 for all 3 is NOT worth it to me. It's different than my usual games and I had fun playing those 10 puzzles but it's too easy of a game to beat. They don't add more levels with updates and I beat all 10 levels in under an hour so I could completely beat this game in an afternoon. Don't make more versions of the same, just add more levels and make more free.
This is much better than the first birdcage. Quite a bit harder, could still be a bit harder though. I liked the epilogue cube, they should think about going more towards the cube where puzzles can be more mysterious, like the Room puzzle games. They do have a crazy hard to find Easter egg, which if not for the internet, i would never have found. Ran into a few stuck gems like in the first game, but restarting the level un-sticks them, so not a big deal. Graphics are well done. Descent story.
Beautiful graphics but pretty easy. Maybe it gets more challenging in the paid levels, but I'll never know because it's almost $14 to play all levels plus another $2 if you want to do it without ads... Not worth it to me. Charge a reasonable fee - maybe $4.99 for all levels w/o ads, and I'd love to play.
I did really enjoy this game. It worked well on my phone. However I really do hope more packs are added because paying 6 dollars for 16 more levels on a casual puzzle game that isn't that difficult is too much. I paid $3.50 for The House of Da Vinci and got more of a challenge and way more content. I don't mind paying that much if you add more than just 16 levels, however with just that, 6 dollars is too much.
Beautiful graphics but got through the demo for both the 1st and 2nd editions so quickly that it wouldn't be worth the money to purchase the full versions. Putting up with all the ads in the demo was a bit frustrating as well... I would understand if you were offering the full game for free with ads but the reason for a demo is to grab someone's attention and the only thing that really stood out in the end was being forced to watch 30 second videos to get to the next level. Uninstalling.
A good game for younger players as an intro to harder box games. I just didn't find the puzzles hard. It's all pretty much laid out in front & you're jumping through hoops to open cages without thought. TBF it's hard to get a balance between easy & not making sense but at least this one is logical. I only played free levels so maybe it gets harder but the first 10 levels were all the same so didn't feel difficulty would increase to warrant purchasing. Maybe a sample of a hard level would help.
The review request came up so soon, that I've only played a few stages, so what can I even say? Well, I'll start by saying that this game really looks great! The graphics are beautiful, rich and detailed (I mean the snow owl is just π wow!); AND it's a fun action puzzler game too! So far, the puzzle quality has been well balanced (not super easy, and not too hard either), with lots of variety. I am a diehard puzzle/riddle kind of gamer and I am stoked to have this new game to dive into! βΊοΈπ
Definetly a good game, it makes you think. puzzles are fun but too easy. I'd like it if the free levels were a little longer, or at least make the puzzles slightly harder as you solve them. It'll make the game more challenging and motivate people to buy the next levels to see how far they can get. All in all, not bad!
Just as enjoyable as the first one however it doesn't seem to be any harder. Completed the free levels with ease and so won't be paying for the extra levels. As I also said in my review of the first game, I would continue to play by watching ads for each level. I suspect the developers could make more money this way as sounds like most other reviews are reluctant to pay full price.
Loved #1 so I purchased #2 without hesitating. I couldn't wait for spare time to pick up where I left off. If you've stopped mid-chapter you'll need to complete most of the little challenges again. I do wish the epilogue explored a wider range levels but that alone doesn't affect the overall experience. I plan on playing both, again. Cheers!
It was fun. I'll admit that I had to YouTube some lvls, lol. Oh, when I started the Crow pack, the game restarted at the end of every puzzle. My phone could be part of the problem, though, because it doesn't seem to like that many game apps. But, just in case there is a problem on your end...
Really enjoyed this one. After playing the free level I didn't hesitate in buying the upgrade. Game play is smooth and intuitive and the graphics are outstanding. The soundtrack sort of reminds me of the movie franchise Saw. I only wish the puzzles were a little more difficult but I understand that is totally subjective. The most difficult part for me was drawing the various objects in the secret level. Look forward to the next update.
Likes: nice graphics and the puzzles are fairly easy. Dislikes: the storyline is stupid and the accompanying drawings are amateurish, a slight improvement over the original. The price for extra levels are way too expensive. Uninstalled after the free ones were played. Ditto for Birdcage 1.
Relaxing music and satisfying mechanical sounds add to the stress-free puzzler that starts out straightforward but slowly starts getting you to think outside the box. This game and its predecessor are right up there with Monument Valley as some of my all time favorite puzzle games. Thank you so much for making them!
I hate the fact that you HAVE TO PURCHASE to go any further total BS. Other then that the game is pretty awesome. Some of the puzzles are really hard & make you think. I took off 2 stars because ypu only get to play 10 puzzles before you have to purchase the rest of the puzzle levels. Same in the original game π΅π΅π΅π΅π΅
Fun little puzzle game, I play through this one and the original all the time. Its not exceptionally hard, but passes the time. As many times as I've played through all of the expansion packs were money well spent. I will definitely buy 3 if they make it
Graphics are great but like with Birdcage 1, the commands are very poor. You have to slide your finger several times for things to move and there is no 'click' when things are in place. More often than not, the difficulty of the game is due to poorly, rather unresponsive commands. Frustrating.
If the game it's self was sold for let's say 5.99 it would be worth it. Don't bother purchasing no ads it's not worth it, this is one of those games you pay play and forget, the reason it's in game purchases is because youl want a refund by the time you complete it, the puzzles are easy and by easy I mean my 8 year old completed them all in 20 mins, the paid for puzzles unlock the last section of the game That's it, both special no challenge what so ever
Nice puzzles, some easy, some more challenging. Good hint system watch an ad. No other ads so far, unusual but welcomed since most other games are ad greedy. Not this one, refreshing.
Played both of them and I prefered the second as the puzzles were slightly more challenging. Good looking games, the theme and some of the ideas are quite like "The Room", which on the whole is a good thing. Some interesting ideas and puzzles, would like to see puzzles that were a little more difficult.
