PLEASE fix this for VIP! Since the vip stream was pulled from stitcher this is my only option....I love the show and being a VIP but this is ridiculous with the constant crashes and no way to save where you are. Also half the time it wont let me fast forward. PLEASE Update: after multiple times of contacting the developer and trying to contact the B&T show, no one seems to want to fix things. Don't get your hopes up.
App keeps going on Stand By. Switching the setting to RARE in Stand-By App doesn't work. It keeps switching back to ACTIVE for stand by. Very annoying! Have to keep pausing streaming and, press play again. Every 3-5 minutes. ***1/28/22: Started doing it again sometime within the last few months. I had contacted them via Facebook but, the fix they issued did not correct it.
There are a few elementary and in my opinion, crucial elements that don't function. As a VIP member, I can download the shows which is good. However, the only way I can start playback is if I have an active Internet connection. Being able to download the file is pointless if I can't start it. Second, if the application gets stopped, when the app restarts, the show I was listening to starts over from the beginning. Every podcast and audio playback app I've used for the last 10 years have had that feature. That's a pretty basic feature. Third, in the first release of the new app, VIP login didn't work. In the second, login worked, but downloads didn't. In the third, everything worked. And now in the fourth update, the entire audio section is inaccessible. The software QA is either poor or non-existent. The software should be thoroughly tested prior to release.
The team and their radio program are amazing. The app is NOT. Times out, stops, or refuses to play at random times. Unable to skip forward or fast forward any more. Once phone screen times out, the app stops working altogether and the point in the show where one was listening is just...gone.. Has been happening since the beginning of the year and has gone down hill since. Not sure why I pay money to be a "VIP" member when the app makes one feel like anything but a VIP. Disappointing.
My rating is for the app, not the content. I love the show! However, the app needs work. I need to turn it on manually every time I get a call, or an alarm goes off, or a video auto plays when I am on social media. Suddenly, it stops playing a few seconds every time my phone locks. It's annoying AF. Fix it, please!
Unable to access the show archives. It was great when the app actually worked. I have uninstalled and installed twice. Still broken. "Could not play due to missing data" when I click on any archived shows. (Including the most recent shows). 24/7 works, and the clips work, but that is all.
2/20/19: Minor bug - Everytime visiting the app, it asks if i want to set my locak radio station to WOTT, which is my local station, but asks every time even after pressing yes. The Bob and Tom show is the best! You guys rock!!! If anyone has trouble with the app getting it updated, uninstall and reinstall the app. The Play Store may not notify you that an update is available.
App works fine for about a week to 10 days then it will just stop playing while listening to the show. Once you press pause and then play again it works for about 10 minutes then stops playing again. This will continue to happen until you uninstall/re-install the app. I've had to uninstall/re-install the app due to this continuous problem about 5 or 6 times now in the last few months but it continues to be an issue.
App used to be great but has been getting worse and worse lately. Now it constantly cuts out, of course usually at the punch line of a joke. Lately it's been cutting out so often and for so long when it comes back on, it plays an ad from 15-30 seconds in the middle of a segment. It's becoming unusable.
For the most part, it works fine. However, when I am multitasking and an ad starts the playback stops. Just seems odd to me this cant be fixed. Sirius XM doesnt stop in these circumstances. Really would be nice to not have to restart the playback after an ad is done....
VIP Member and can not sign in just locks up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no luck in fixing the issue. Galaxy S9+ run android pie. I also have done a system maintenance clean and reboot. update March 6th still not resolved, does not work!
I've always loved the Bob and Tom show and have been paying for the VIP for years, but the Bob and Tom app has always sucked! The main thing is u cant download the shows everyday to ur phone, u have to download them in the app which makes no sense at all because the in app shows are terrible! They restart everytime u turn ur phone off or disconnect from any bluetooth device which then means u have to try to remember where u were in a 4 hour show! Terrible app!
I really like the app. Streaming stations and the 24/7 channel aren't awesome. But when I'm finished listening, the app stays open in my notification bar. I can't close it. I can't swipe it away. I can't force close it. I have to reboot my phone to get it to go away.
I LOVE the Bob and Tom Show. Used to love the app. Lately it has been crashing regularly. Won't let me turn it off. Only plays the B&T show when they are live. Plays music at any other time. I don't want music. I want my Bob and Tom!
Show is great, the app not so much. I'm no longer able to get the archived shows in the audio section. Without this it sort of makes my Bob and Tom VIP membership useless.
App starts and starts frequently. Gets very annoying. Additionally, due to my work schedule and commute I only get a window of listening time from 10 to 20 minutes. The interlude music is so frequent that I shut the station off early. You have 20 years of humor and every 10 minutes you play the same 2 uninteresting music and a ad for the program I'm already listening to. Either play something interesting ad a filler or at least a different relatable song. Very, very disappointed.
