for some reason, most of the statistics dont show up on the screen for me. but, it does tell me how much money is being accrued and when it is paid to my debt. ive saved over a grand in a year without feeling it.
Very practical! Im making progress on my loan repayments in an easy and managable way while I am still in school. Wished I could do this with my credit cards. 😜
This app is so easy to use and can help save lots of money by rounding up your purchases and putting that money toward your student loans!
Great when it works. I had my dad set up with an account as well to help with my loans, but the app removed him so many times he eventually had to give up and uninstall. Now it's starting to do the same with my account. It seems like I can't go a week or two without something going wrong or becoming unlinked. Great concept, not uninstalling, but it could use updating/fixing.
Easy to use with minimal fees. Don't even notice paying extra on my loans.
Good vehicle to save money to lower outstanding balances.
I had to start accounting for "roundups" in my own calculations because the app does after the other transactions reach $5. It's not a true real time round up, it more of a $5 charge every few days. So I had to be able to account for this with my financials. Great concept, but not perfect for everyone. Especially those who need to budget the $5 transactions, and when they will charge bank.
Great concept. Works great for others that dont deal with money directly or trouble budgeting. It is much easier for me personally to open an additional account and set low recurring transfers that wont impact my budget then transfer the amount. Also, if you have an already existing student loan payment, then why not set payments with an extra $25 per month? Not bashing on the app but it is a good concept, just polish up the interface to make it more user friendly.
Loved it when it actually worked. I used this for quite a while then all of a sudden it made me reconnect my bank account several times, then it wouldn't take round-ups out when it was connected. This was the case for a couple months. Support didn't figure out what was going on (although they were still trying), so i just closed my account. Bummer, I really did like it. Customer support is top notch I will say. Very friendly.
This has the potential to be a really great app, but the fact it takes about a week+ with moderate spending to update transactions can be a huge thorn in ones side when budgeting. It's a bit overly complicated when you could easily set up a Roundup account at most banks and dedicate a savings account to your student loans. Overall, a good concept, just not executed well.
I love the idea and the service. This had been a great way to add a little extra to paying off student loans. And they do it so well in the background it's like a pleasant surprise when you see you have a deposit heading towards your loans one day! The only problem with this app is it's interface. It's very choppy and dated. Fortunately having done research on the team (and seeing their presentation on Shark Tank) has given me the confidence that these guys know what they're doing though!
I don't really understand how it works, it's confusing. But it doesn't update my little squirrel with how much money I have saved. My balance still shows $0, but my transfer progress is $11.32. I had $15 saved last month, it says it was gonna do a transfer for each of the $5 but never did. Then it started over for the month. And then today they took $9.32 from my bank acct, which then made my acct overdrawn. So what the heck?? This app is poorly executed and I won't be using again until they can fix these issues. I'm not gonna have my bank account overdrawn because they don't tell me what day they are withdrawing the funds. They send an email but it takes like a week. It's random. Fix the issues and it'd be a great app.
The concept is great, and its already helped me to easily and seamlessly make extra payments to my student loans just by rounding up spare change on my transactions. i give it 4 stars only because the app still feels a bit clunky and rudimentary, but in the time I've used the app, they have made improvements. So, I'm sure in a few months I'd give this 5 stars.
Works great! weekly withdrawal of accumulated rounding. can link multiple accounts for rounding, but the withdrawals only hit one account. Loan payment is made when accumulated change balance reaches $100. the payment went through to my student loan without issue. I didn't realize there was a fee, but $1 a month isn't terrible & I feel like I'm receiving a value service for the fee paid.
great easy way to save for your student loan payments! change really adds up without you noticing! the only thing is if you get your bank account balance down really low and forget about this app taking money that could be bad. the payments take a few days to actually post from your bank account. other than that it's great!
I think this is a really great app for those who are looking to pay down their student loans and have fun for quite some time. I would like to see the interface design of data a little bit more. It feels somewhat outdated. I'm being critical only because I am a UX Designer and I see applications like this on a daily. I did notice at one point in time some application activity issues, but this was minimal. Overall I think that was great and it really does deserve a purpose.
It has been really good until my bank account decides it is not attached anymore. Then have to reattach it.
I really like the convenience of being able to get my student loans down. It usually sends my payment to my student loan every 3 months-ish. It really depends on your spending habits. I'm giving it 4 stars due to it advertising to me to sign up for different programs but when I click for more information it just sends me to the home page of the app and I'm unable to find further information. I still love it and would recommend to anyone with student loans
I like the concept, but the app could use some improvement. Sometimes my balance will go up, then down again. Also it takes a long time for it to post to my student loan account once a transfer has been initiated. The information about my loans isn't completely accurate. **I've been having an issue linking my bank. I first contacted support Sept. 7th and it wasn't resolved. I contacted them again 3 days ago. Please fix the issue and stop emailing me about it. If this isn't resolved, I'll delete.
Still needs work! It's a great idea for an app, but the updating of your balance and processing transfers to loan providers is so SLOW...considering I can Zelle money to someone in 2 seconds! You can't even view your ChangeEd account like a normal bank account. If you want faster, then just save an extra amount of your check yourself.
I got this going with my parents, it gets the ball rolling quick! Definitely worth it... between us 3, it's like a couple hundred dollars a year. It adds up! Do it! Finally able to see significant reduction in my balance. It's not a be all end all solution, but another tool to help in the fight against strangulating debt!
This app really works. I have already had about 3 or 4 payments towards my student loan
LUV this app I was behind on my student loan so when this was available for Android I immediately signed up. This app keeps me current on my loan. I don't think it's hard to follow. I didn't have any issues getting everything set up and I think it's pretty self explanatory. Also love the feature that you can pause it. Just a thought maybe have another option like 10 days or to be able to unpause it before the 15 days is up. Sometimes we just need to get to the next check
False advertising!!! Description infers rounded up savings goes into separate savings account that auto pays student loans. FALSE. It simply counts how much "would" be rounded up, then transfers that amount from bank after reaching the threshold specified (either $50 or $100). Therefore, the amount transferred is not actually rounded up savings, it is simply a payment from the attached account when the sum of "round ups" reaches threshold. BOO THIS APP, BOO THE PRODUCT OWNER!!!!!!!! BS!! Devs - if you read what was posted, there was no mention of the "increments" you tried to correct. Read between the lines. A typical "round up" actually takes that money out of an account as money is spent. Your app does not do this. It waits until it calculates that the THRESHOLD is met before making a transfer. Therefore, you are simply forcing an additional payment from one's linked account, NOT transferring actual round ups from your so-called "savings" account. Get real.
love the app, helping pay My student loan. im going to make a review video.
I tried it and it's pretty simple. The UI is simple, maybe too simple. It's not reassuring to have all the info on my school loans / bank and have to manually update the balance on the school loan. My primary bank doesn't link with the app; according to the bank rep, they have no intent to. I don't really see the point in having the app for those reasons.
This is a really great app. The way it shows you how much time saving the change from everyday purchases can shave off your student loan is really awesome. The only thing that could be better are their perks. If you've already refinanced, partnering with SoFi doesn't work and you can tell people till you're blue in the face this app is great but if they dont sign up you're kind of out of luck. Finding other ways - random giveaways, trivia games, etc - to reward users would also be welcome.
My daughter and I signed up for ChangEd to help better manage the truly out of control cost of college. I never really realized how saving our spare change could make a difference, but this app makes it possible and it is so easy to use. I love that we do nothing and the app takes care of everything. Customer service is also outstanding and were very helpful when we needed some questions answered. The app gives us hope! RIP student loans!! Well done ChangED!
Everyone with student loans should be using this! Such an awesome idea. The app can be a little clunky at first, but it's gotten easier to navigate over the months I've been using it. And once you set everything up its more of a set it and forget it kind of deal. They seem to have a great development team and customer service as well!
I really like this app. My round ups pay my minimum monthly payment so I don't really have to worry about it. The only thing I would recommend to change is having an option that I could choose a day of the week for my deductions. For example most paydays are Friday let me postpone my withdrawal to that day.
