The previous App was sooo much better than this one!! Very disappointing that they changed from the other beautiful App with more functions for saving & downloading account files, & with better, clearer options for other functions too. Sadly this App is UGLY & doesn't perform as well!! :)
Balance messages:- why can't it just be a text and not an inbox message. The ability to pay with phone using necessarily chip if you have a paypass/visa debit card, would be a great feature
Latest update download on 16 Mar 22 has left names without amounts & numbers going down, not in a straight line. The string needs looking at. Maybe a ; missing.
Update has ruined this app. Go back to the old version. Current issues: 1. Quick transfer has been removed, I used this more than anything it was great. 2. You can no longer tap the account you want from the quick balance screen. The old app used to let you tap the account you wanted and after log in it would navigate straight to that account. 3. You can no longer see all of your recent transactions in the home screen, you have to navigate to a specific account to see recent transactions. Updates are supposed to make apps better and more streamlined this has done the opposite.
Trying to join Co-Op via the app is an absolute nightmare that you can only wake up from by giving up. It requires the app to take photos of your different IDs, which you'd think would work like the credit card scan function. Instead, it doesn't work at all. It does after many minutes of adjusting camera angles, lighting and backdrops take a photo that it immediately rejects. Rinse and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat until you decide that maybe your Australian bank isn't THAT bad after all.
There's an old saying - if it ain't broke, why fix it! There's not a lot I like about the new look - making payments is more difficult, checking balances is more difficult, navigating between accounts is more difficult. In fact I can't think of anything I do like at this point. Hopefully this is just version 1 & some of the old easy to use features will come back! Fingers crossed.......
Still the best bank around - but the new app update is awful! The previous one was far more streamlined, this one is just clunky. No more option to transfer from the account screen you're on, no more payment confirmation screen, balances on the login screen don't update themselves regularly, transfer button at the bottom is too close to my phone's home screen button, really there's just too many niggles to list. Just let me have the previous version back Co-op, and there'll be no hard feelings.
Not a fan of this app, especially when making online transfer i was able to take a screen shot of the transaction and send it as proof that I paid. But now when you hit the pay button a little message comes up at the bottom saying done and processed? The old app said payment successful and showed all relevant details. It takes a lot longer to transfer money from personal account and others. The new app looks amazing but the usage of it is terrible.
App ok. A few things I didn't like in the previous version have now been fixed eg I can now type in 5 instead of 5.00 for $5. I really like that you can now add colours to different accounts as well as nicknames. I just really wish that the nicknames showed up in the list of transactions for each account so I didn't have to know the numbers for each account and could easily see where I'd transferred money to/from. Would be great if you could drag and drop to transfer money between own accounts.
Hate the new app! Now when i open it everyone behind me can read my balances, my font is set to the smallest size, its not my phone settings that are the issue, the bold account balances all on one page, make it real easy to read, at a glace, from a distance... not cool. It doesnt leave you feeling confident your info is safe. Its boring and ugly (I'm talking about the navigation and the layout). The prev app was much nicer to use and easy to select things on one hand mode.
Edited. I initially left negative review as I couldn't access the menu on my pixel 2 due to a bug. I contacted support and they said it was a known issue and getting fixed. Took longer than I hoped but can confirm this issue is now fixed. App still has a bit to go to be a 5 star app (UX/interactions could be smoother and a few more features) but does the basics well. Nothing holding the app back compared to bigger banks apps. Will continue to support this bank as it is a good alternative to Aussie owned banks.
The app is functional, modern and intuitive. Out of all the features, the dark mode option is my favorite.
Avoid at all cost. A total waste of time since the app requires taking photos of your ID but it won't allow you to review the photos before submitting, and the photos are ALWAYS out of focus. Then they'll ask you to restart the whole process again instead of just retake the photos, and of course the photos will be out of focus again. Heartland bank accepts scanned documents via email to register so it's a total and utter LIE to say it is not allowed to take scans.
Better than what I thought, I often pay firms using internet banking and being able to share the receipt is just great thanks Sam
Its not working reinstalled. Still no change. Had to go on line to try to do my banking
Fabulous app & reakon drag & drop transfer is so quik & easy only takes a sec instead of a minute, love it & thank you💖 Be great if you will now work on a shorter cut with payments instead of stretching top right then dwn again😊 Tapping on the main account where all payments made & sent can be viewed is awesome🤟 Pray'n we all have a safe, healthy & successful year thruout 2022. Just a suggestion, it would be better if when signing up the app didn't automatically take a photo by itself and the user had the option to take a photo and review it before submitting. The app keeps taking the photo when my license is out of focus and won't let me retake without restarting the whole process
Its pretty good and safe. My only problems are that you cant see the time of which the money was sent and i cant send more than 200 dollars a day
It would be great if co op bank actually allowed their customers to set up and use Google Pay!! This is the modern day and carrying around a physical card is so yesterday. please set up Google Pay for your customers
New version isnt as good. Gone are the quick transfer options, which was one of the things we used most out of the old one. Sure this looks pretty but you lost fundamental uses from the previous one. EDIT; ok, one star was harsh. You can have 3 stars. I like the dark theme. Can we get a watch interface as well, ie gear and watch o.s.?
Nah mate. Can you please make it user friendly? Like drag and drop functions and get rid of to and from interface. Earlier version was sweet, just needed drag and drop function. If you can make it easier that would be great. Current version looks flash but functions are not great
The old app had a much better design and feel. Also it was consistent with the web banking portal. I am missing seeing transactions on the home screen. When designing a new app it is important to incorporate feedback from users.
20% reviews less than satisfactory. Appalling statistics. I have a high end phone which works with every app apart from this one due to scan error. Devs you are letting cooperative bank down terribly. However if customer goes to bank and joined manually, the app works seamlessly and is excellent. If scan fixed it would be a 5 as it's better than competitor banks in features.
I don't like that we can't see what time a transaction was made. And also with the new app I don't like there is no payment confirmation screen that shows it was successful, including the reference.. I make a lot of online transfers and can't have a screenshot for proof of my reference
I don't think this new update is intuitive at all the last app was so easy to use. I can not find where to edit planned payments anywhere. It's frustrating. Why mess with something that works well. Not a happy customer at all!
I love this app everything about it, it's so easy to use, not sure what people are crying about, love my alerts on money coming in going out, where and what time, maybe the inbox could have an All button where you can delete many at once instead of opening each alert n deleting singularly, would be my only issue.
