really good recipes loads to try. the app could do with some work it feels abit cumbersome and hard to navigate could do with a search function, also the recipes sometimes reference other recipes that you then have to go and find and the download for recipes takes ages

Apps that do not state their price anywhere should not be offered for sale on this site. Even the free version once installed does not state the price of the full version. On principle I am uninstalling the free version and will look for an alternative app. Let the buyer beware.

A great option to have on hand for recipes. Really well laid out, easy to follow guides with methods also done with pictures of each stage. very well thought out, and a bargain at 4.99 for all the recipes. Thank you Dan, your curry gravy base recipe has opened up a world of currys all from scratch.

Very handy I purchased the books but the app is is useful as there is the shopping list, no need to write it out or take the book to the shop with me LOL also i have the phone next to the cooker instead of the book. Highly recommended you get this app, oh and best BIR cooking there is, every recipe a winner, i have cooked them sall, no more take aways in our house. Happy cooking/eating, best wishes to all x

Purchased this as a thanks for the awesome books Dan has written. There are a few in the app that i haven't come across in the books. Could i ask that maybe in future there could be a section of recipes that don't require the base sauce? I do usually have some frozen but many times i've found myself sieving through the recipes to find one without the base sauce. Thanks.

more recipes to be added. all classic Indian dishes. the pictures need to be smaller with more detail on them more steps showing clearly, or even adding videos on how it's done would be great so we can follow easily in real time.

I have the books and bought the app in full to make it easier to use my phone to get recipes. When the app needs to update recipes/photos, I hope you had made your prayer, gave your thanks and pet the dog, because it's a frustrating experience. I'm no tech guy but the way this app updates is beyond any expletive I can give without getting banned online and offline. Fourth time updating and it's currently at 93%. whoohoo; literally an hour and a half later trying to get this app to 100% over gigabit wifi. It finally went to 100% at my fourth try so am changing my 2 stars to 3. Devs, please fix this horrible experience.

I think the app is brilliant. if I have one complaint, it's that some of the recipes are locked until you purchase them. as I have already bought the book too I feel there should be a link so that proof of purchase allows them to be unlocked.

Great recipes that actually work and well reproduce British Indian Restaurant curries. The app is fairly well put together, a little clunky to navigate, but does the job.

Excellent recipes, well laid out, simple instructions, I'm doing one as I type. Would recommend for anyone, from experienced chefs to complete novices.

Many spelling and continuity errors, the text was rushed and not checked. Nice app though, plenty of recipes. Just need a similar app for Chinese food now.

Great recipes, I currently have 2 litres of a great curry base gravy in the freezer. It is a shame that there are so many teasers that require additional purchases 😡 That is particularly frustrating when the paid-for recipes are freely available on the Curry Guy website and You Tube videos. Fir that reason alone I deducted the one star - why have the app when I can use the website?

Good app with lots of very accurate recipes which will recreate a good BIR very accurately. I owned a Punjabi restaurant for some years so I know. some recipes like pilau rice need adjustment and the onion bhaji recipe lacks somewhat but otherwise most work. Given this is a paid app to unlock all the recipes there are some glaring omissions like prawn puri, mushroom bhaji and aloo gobi but if you use the base curry sauce properly and your common sense, you should be able to knock them up well.

Quite possibly the best food app I've ever purchased. The sheer volume and quantity of fantastic information in this for £4.99 is stunning. The curries I'm turning out are amazing!

Just what I was looking for! If you love eating curries out then this is the app for you. Fabulous. Cannot recommend highly enough. Got to do the garlic chilli chicken. Absolutely fabulous.

I made the chicken korma. It was delicious 😋 The recipes are easy to follow and I love the fact that I can mix my own spices nie with the recipes on the app. Thank you Curry Guy.

I downloaded the app and paid for the updates, which 2 days later it still is sitting at 0% installed. Feeling rather ripped off as I cant get to the support button until the stupid thing updates!!!! Proceed with caution if you want to use this app

Recipes are amazing, but the app is awful. Expect to spend 15 minutes waiting for "images to load" almost every time you use the app.

Paid for full access to recipes. It doesn't work at all! Tried uninstalling and starting again, to no avail.

It's unconventional layout doesn't count against it for me, if anything it makes for a richer experience. It's a great pocket recipe book for classic curryhouse curries.

A wonderful app, really useful and informative, you can't possibly go wrong in the kitchen afterwards, if you do, get out of the kitchen! 👍.

Way too long to upload images for bare min recipes i like the layout but other apps are faster and have alot more variety

Amazing recipes. I have all of The Curry Guys books, but the app makes it so much easier in the kitchen to use.

Once loaded once, loads instantly. Great recipes. Have his books as well. He is the curry meister.

This guy has been around & done his research & obviously enjoys his curries. He has presented his findings IN A WELL WRITTEN & well ilistrated app. Enjoy. The basic app is good value & free but for a modest payment you can enjoy so many more of his tantalising recipes. Off to the kitchen now to cook a curry.
