Overall the app is okay. It pushes A LOT of notifications and unfortunately it doesn't matter if you turn off particular subject notifications in the settings the app will push those subject notifications regardless. Occasionally i will tap on an article's notification and it brings me to the app's home screen instead of the article. More authentic control over the notifications would be a good improvement.

I hate the audio commercial that plays when you open an article. I can't read the paper without disturbing those around me. There needs to be a way to turn off the sound. Your relentless pushing a subscription may make me stop my subscription.

I love Dayton Daily News and have a subscription, but this app is awful. Crashes constantly, clicking on a notification won't actually take you to the article in many cases, inconsistent back button behavior, not material design, leggy and choppy and CPU heavy, and highly erratic in behavior.

Love ddn since Apollo purchased it. They run many more locally written stories, and the stories have more depth. Under Cox, the ddn pulled punches and avoided saying anything. The paper could have been purchased by a crazy conservative group. Instead, it has become a very balanced news source.

This app was always slow to load but last week it became impossible. I uninstalled & reinstalled it 3x and now it won't load at all. Cut your losses, fire your app developers and start over.

This app is horrible. Most of the time can't find stories that show up in Google news feed (which don't recognize logged in ddn account). Random ads, generally a trainwreck of an app.

It is great to get updates to news in the Miami Valley and Dayton area quickly. It keeps me updated on most everything that impacts my life.

This app won't open. I tried all day yesterday, 09/21/18 to open it. I tried again today & still won't open. Please fix the problem.

Loads of content. Gave it 4 stars because it needs a dark theme. Best local news app.

Liked old app better less advertising while reading articles , old format worked better for me.

With this new update DDN is a totally different news app! So far so good.

I enjoy the ease of reading and finding articles.

I ztill wish we had the old ddn delivered to the door i don't like change but you guys haves Done a great job tranferring over i like to read the needs when i want to not watch the tv when they tell me i have to lol great job

They give the daily Covid-19 numbers when other news outlets don't.

The headline does not always match the story attached.

The app changed a few days ago and now I can't read the e-paper. Don't know why.

I rarely read it because it is too frustrating because of this crappy app.

I need to relearn the art of reading the paper!
