Love the Denver post, and really wish this app worked!! Getting headlines that I want to read and being unable to read them, constantly stopped by some subscription page (though I'm subscribed and logged in), and being redirected, this app is a waste of my time. I really would like it to work so that I could enjoy my paid subscription.

Notifications bring me to different articles, never remains on the article I want. Consistently asks me subscribe even though I already subscribed. At subscription I am still advertised too even though I am paying $15 month. Poor app in general. The one star is for good writing.

Does not appear to be a way to disable push notifications or the pop up ads when trying to read a story. And yes, I'm a paid subscriber. One would reasonably have the expectation the pop up ads would go away / not be happening once a subscription has been purchased. One would be wrong in the case of this application, the ads just keep coming (with more apparent frequency once you start to use it). Very, very disappointing. I'll NOT be renewing my subscription at the end of it's current term.

Paragraphs cut out after a certain number of characters so articles are incomplete to the point of being unreadable at times. The app crashes all the time forcing me to log in repeatedly. The interface is basic and makes it hard to pick through to find the good stuff. The lack of a search function is a glaring issue too. I got this subscription in order to support local news, but the app just isn't functional enough to be usable.

Constant notifications about Denver sports teams. No way to turn off! Actually, constant notifications about the damnest things... PLEASE make a setting to stop notifications! Also, no way to search for an article found in the print edition so it can be sent to a friend. Every 2-3 weeks I get booted off, even though I have an ANNUAL print subscription! So annoying!!!11/20-- Still annoying to be required to sign in again about every 2-3 weeks. I have an annual, paid print subscription since 1982.

App sometimes gets stuck in loading when i launch. Suggested stories are sometimes the same story twice, in succession, in the same section. app also feels sluggish when it finally does load. There's no place to log in. i dont understand why your app is called "The Denver Post" and not just "Denver Post" i sort my apps alphabetically so the app gets sorted with the t's. I want to support local journalism but your app makes it hard to want to continue.

Constantly logs me out eventhough I'm a paid subscriber and neverending popups. I then go to retrieve my subscription and it tells me I don't exist. Same problem 3 months later. All DP says is they will work on it.... What a joke for $14/mo.

Love the app, but I would like it even better if I could manage push notifications (sound/vibrate, specific content, etc.)

Recently reinstalled app after removing it due to crashing issues. Happy to no crashes and the login seems to be steamleas now. Thank you

Very painful to use. Copy text won't work to help catch phrases to share for later. Have to switch to website to get them. Also, gives you partial headline in notification, then when expanding the notification, unlike other news apps that give you the complete headline, it shows you the leading photo, often useless for providing data.

App often fails to work on mobile phone. Recent software update makes subscription worthless. Can see headlines but cannot read articles. Good reporting crippled by poor software.

Headline notifications don't link to the stories that go with the headlines. Ads pop up full screen to interrupt reading....repeat same ones over & over...and frequently are extremely biased right-wing promotions thinly disguised as polls. Worst new feature is sads with sound - that override even device mute setting to play at loud volume. OBNOXIOUS!

Digital subscription - but hitting paywall EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to read an article. I'm logged in , the app and website both show me logged in with an active subscription - but the pop-up trying to sell me the subscription THAT I ALREADY HAVE, and prepaid for a year, keeps me from being able to read anything. The app just doesn't work, and it's infuriating that I pay money for something that I can't even use.

Does not allow you to turn off notifications so it keeps waking up your phone and drains the battery. They sell your data and make it a hassle to turn off that feature. I purchased a year subscription bc I wanted to support my local newspaper but I will no longer support them and their business model.

Don't like the way main photo disappears when you scroll down to read text. Don't like only 2 stories when you scroll down, forcing you to tap show more. Show us more stories at once and keep photo up with a caption. Very dumbed down web page. Stop trying to be cute and show us the news.

The app does not show full articles, requiring me to visit the web page. The web page will not allow me to sign in, it simply tells me "Redirecting" for eternity. It is ridiculous I cannot just read the full article where I am logged in on the app. What even is the point of the app. Giving 2 stars because the Denver Post is still worth supporting even though their app is useless.

As a paying subscriber who also gets the paper edition, why is there pop-up ads in the app? I can't sign in and get an add free version? I assumed that's what I was paying for. Also, the app itself is clunky looking and the ads slow down my phone even while on a 200+ mbps WiFi network to the point the app stutters and lags.

It was an OK website to access the Denver Post, for me the local sports team. Using the app the articles were free with ads which I had no problem with. But this has changed with update. & now they want $14.99/month. That's just silly. Makes app pointless.

I find it very annoying that as a subscriber when I pull down a notification and start to read; a pop up appears asking me to subscribe. This is doubly annoying because when I back out of the pop up, it seems to take an extra amount f time to reconnect t the article I was originally trying g to read.

Kyl. R. Jan 15, 2021

Every time I click a notification it takes me out of the app to a web browser. Also I've been a subscriber for over a year and the app routinely tells me to subscribe and won't let me read the article. Even though I'm paying for the subscription already. Not a great app.

Jul. J. Apr 8, 2021

Went from fully ad-supported to requiring registration and having some free and some "premium" articles (which isn't insane), but then to making even essential info like evacuation notices premium-only. Don't download this app unless you already have a paid subscription from elsewhere.

Mar. O. Apr 12, 2019

This app is disappointing. It won't load regardless of the strength of the wifi, and if you are relying on cellular, forget it. I can never access it! it's quicker to open the Post from a web page.

Tar. F. Nov 25, 2021

Still terrible. Reverts to stories previously opened weeks ago. Shows articles in landscape format even when viewing in portrait but can't scroll to the right to read. I can't believe I pay for this "digital" subscription.

And. G. Dec 18, 2020

Trash app from a trashy company. Somehow small companies can have you choose to pay for their app or see ads - the Denver post gives you both! Yay! Paying for the Denver Post is like paying someone to punch you in the face. The product is bad, you're overcharged, and numerous competitors will do a better job for cheaper.

Pau. K. Apr 14, 2021

Every time I get an alert, it opens the article in a browser and not the app. I tried to go change the default but I couldn't find anything to do that with. Built-in default should open IN the app.

Jac. P. Oct 22, 2021

Terrible. I've had it for 2m now... It pops with notifications but when you click them it doesn't even open the story. It doesn't even keep you logged in. Straight. Garbage. Cancelling my subscription purely because of the app
