The app works OK, except you have to sign in every time. I get a notification on my phone that sounds interesting, click to open the app, and get a popup that says I have one more article coming. I like to support newspapers, especially local ones, and can put up with the ads and clickbait, but having to sign in every time will be a deal breaker when subscription renewal comes up. I see this has been going on for months, from other reviews several months ago, and wonder what they are thinking? Under "what's new" the developer says "as always, fixing bugs and improving performance." As always?? Great, now how about fixing one major bug that will be a deal-breaker the next time subscription renewal comes up.
FEEDBACK is cherry picked by company. Feedback option only allowed or working for those opinion letters or articles the Desert Sun wants feedback on. I've found Accessibility settings can be correct, but will not make any difference. Referring to Enable Accessibility Features, Accessibility Support, Help. The Feedback option is turned off or not working on certain articles opinion letters. 1 star seems too much when news paper stops the feedback on certain op Ed pieces articles.
Annoying that it is always telling me to subscribe. I sign in, and it didn't remember me next time. I have to go through the whole sign in again. It is a pain. Why can't the app just stay signed in!
Even after subscribing and signing in the app won't allow you to get to stories and stops your progress with ads to subscribe. No option to continue as subscriber even when logged into app. Bad juju
App keeps crashing. Cleared phone cache ...all other apps working fine. I will cancel my subscription soon if continues.
The sign in issue has been resolved. The app now keeps me signed in and pages load quickly. Much improved!
The app won't keep me signed in. Completely irritating. Plus this paper is a poor shadow of what it was even just a year ago. Sad.
I'm a subscriber but the app thinks I'm not. And there is no option to do anything since I'm already signed in (and paying monthly). Time to unsubscribe.
Can't manage my subscription. Why? We should be able to execute vacation holds, etc. in the app, but i don't see the option.
I want the full page layout. Especially the weather page. Instead I get stories Gannett assumes I need. Fix or loose another subscriber. Cactus Hugs is a much better source for local news

I like it a lot, not overwhelming and good control with the notifications. Just wish you could assign your own individual notification sound.
Terrible News reporting. Stories about drag queens and today over 10 stories about Coachella. Not everyone fawning over this. Also hard to cancel subscriprion.
Can't search, many articles very old. Pretty much worthless.
I love this app.
My delivery service is very unreliable so this is better than nothing but I would still prefer the printed version if we could get anyone to deliver it on a regular basis.

I just minutes ago, read and watched video news coverage about this horrible, heartbreaking, and heinous tragedy, stuff I hear about daily, which is shocking and upsetting enough, but when it happens in your own Home Town, and my Parents were Pioneers since 1952, and my Dad+Mom were personal friends with all or most of the Chiefs of Police, as well as their families, news like this hits too close to home, in fact, right in my own backyard, so to speak. My Prayers to Families+Baby!!!♡God'sGrace♡
App only gives headlines. I want full print edition.
MAJOR BUGS! This app is filled with major bugs. WARNING! This app can even cause an epileptic seizure when it often 50% of the time fails to load content and starts into a rapid black/white flashing episode. FAIL!
