Use to work (3 days ago) Can't open. Uninstalled. Reinstalled- opened -cannot read any news. This use to be a very good news app for MI

Terrible app. I subscribed and still can't access some subscriber content.

App is broken. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but now it won't even open.

Edited 5/17/22 This app stopped working. It just show a blank screen whenever it is opened. When will this issue be fixed? Great content, headlines are sometimes over sensational though. App keeps signing me out, it would be great if I could stay signed in all the time.

I signed up through the app but it didn't show any subscription information. I couldn't access some content on the app, and it didn't recognize my subscription on the website. Clearly they are still working through some technical issues. Not surprising newspapers are going bankrupt they've had 15 years to figure out how to go digital and still can't get it right. Customer service was nice but couldn't figure it out eithe. They sure figured out how to bill me though. Done with this one forever.

Started today: open story starts strobe-like flashing. Same code base as Freep but Freep works, DetNews doesn't. Please escalate.

The notification settings are set to "breaking news", which to the Detroit News means just about all the news stories! I expected better! I turned off the notifications and anything more than a true local emergency will get the app deleted.

always been a big fan of the Detroit news. didn't own TV for the longest so i got my news from the paper. good read and i enjoy the crosswords much better then the free press.

There seems to be a problem with dark mode and notifications on Android 10? The color photos in the notification bar are reversed or "negative" image? Otherwise, the app is great!

Hello, There was one bugs in this app, when click on the top Stories, only Top text was dispaly in red colore in corner of the bottom bar. Thanks

When I ask for breaking news, I mean breaking news. Notifications should not be used to promote feature stories and puff pieces.

Some decent news. Can't manage the feed and crappy opinion pieces. Would like to be able to filter the idiot editorials. (e.g, Bankhole is really ***hole). No way to comment on articles or to provide feedback. Somehow attempts to provide feedback go to USA Today, a truly mediocre media outlet.

This app is whack.no t a good source for news in local areas . I wont open app again, Tobe disappointedp once again.

This is my way of reading the NEWS at home and on the go. It freezes up sometimes on my tablet but always reboots back up.

The Detroit News is just an echo chamber for the Detroit Free Press. Its a hollow ghost of what it once was. Its the little step brother to the Free Press. Both papers only print what the owners and publishers of the USA Today deem appropriate. The days of any kind of right leaning Republican, let alone actual Conservative opinion or view having a safe space in Detroit media is a long lost memory from a different time.

To many ads. Some are disgusting without an option to delete the offensi e ads.

Won't let me view subscriber articles says I'm not a subscriber but, I am. Can sign my computer but, not tablet or phone going to give it a day, then going to cancel, just read what I can.

Horrible. As a subscriber, Several times a week I can't view subscriber only articles. Why would I renew my subscription? I won't.

I bought the 3 month special after 4 hours it didn't work. The Detroit news stated that we can cancel anytime. Please help me cancel this service. Unhappy customer 😒

Started giving notifications that required a subscription. Ended up uninstalling the app. Not impressed.

It's generally ok, but when you have a subscription the app requires you to sign in every few days, even using the same device.

I am long time subscriber but since I got a new phone I can't sign in. Mybe I should cancel my subscription. Probably won't let me do that.

Once I turned notifications off it will not open it just flashes google please take note!

Love Detroit News app. Read every day for sports and local updates.

I get to keep up with the local and national news. Also stay updated on current events.

I think it is faster than the Detroit Free Press with breaking news.

$10 a month for this? Are you kidding me??? Not worth it. I'll stick to the free version. I don't think I'll miss anything pertinent.
