The Digital Guardian

Error - PDF not download, 40% of the pages refuse to load. These are problem I've never encountered with the older version. It seems "The Digital Guardian took a few steps back" for the length of time the "new app" came on stream, the teething process should have elapsed. Perhaps consideration should be given to reverting back to the old app as this clearly isn't an improvement. Just in the event you might be wondering, I only use Samsung Galaxy Notes so the phone isn't the issue here.

You would think this "upgrade" is better than the last app. It isn't. Takes too long to load pages. The worst thing is the screen times out after a while. That never happened with the last app. The pages get blurred on zooming or shifting. This app is pure trash compared to the last. Do better Guardian! Such a turn-off!

I keep expecting issues to be fixed with each update. The app takes long to open and long to download daily newspapers. App is also problematic to work offline to access predownloaed papers. Icon buttons with print options not visible but still clickable as I was familiar with it's supposed position. Have also seen similar issues from other people's phones. I keep my app updated and since these issues I have cleared data, cache and even reinstalled but the issues persist.

A bit disappointed. 73MB???? That's probably the largest app in the whole playstore. You went from 6.8MB to 73MB? Also, no full screen. When I download a papers the word "DOWNLOADED" is split across two lines on my S8+ with only the top portion of the second line displayed. I am assuming the word is "downloaded". Please fix. And make app smaller. This is ridiculously large for such an app.

If someone is paying for a digital version of the paper, they should be able to take screenshots of articles, or advertisements as needed. Just as with the hard copy people can cutout out photocopy, digital subscribers should have the ability to do something similar.

This app that has news for Caribbean countries is quite good. They update their newspapers regularly and with reliable information. The only problem I have with this is that the app tends to be quite slow and at times laggy. Otherwise, amazing app for news in the Caribbean.

I enjoyed the older app. This new version interface in not smooth at all. Pages take long to load if they load at all. I considered this a must have app. Please fix.

I am unable to download editions or single articles. Additional the app doesn't allow me to select any single article from a page for user friendly reading. Have to zoom in and out to read article properly on an android device.

This app is not as user friendly as the older app. The new app is very sluggish with the zoom being blury and it takes a little while to become clear. I think I will continue using the old app until I can't.

I have been a subscriber for almost 2 years online but Ads at the bottom of the screen are now forcing the newspaper to be smaller. please find another way to place the ads on the screen.

This app is very disappointing. I was hoping that this would be a realistic alternative to a physical newspaper, however, this paid app is not as reliable as Loop's free app. Very very disappointing.

I paid a one year subscription to access this newspaper, and the app is not working, also the desktop version is hard to navigate through.

I downloaded the new app and now it just refuses to log on. Whenever I select log on it resets. The developers should be terminated as they don't do proper testing before releasing a new version. What to do? Go to the Express!

It is very insulting that at a time like this when persons are to isolate themself that you block persons from reading the news paper for free. Instead you charge persons US7 for a month subscription. I can't go out and purchase the daily. Thanks Guardian.

For Goodness sake bring back the previous app. The loading circle just keeps going round and round after every page. This is so FRUSTRATING ! My word.

App is often buggy and doesn't allow log-ins at times. Shuts down intermittently and pages cannot load properly at times.

Why is the app not working? Guardian you could send us an email update to let us know what is happening. You have our email addresses because you use it when you send us our quarterly bills!

This app is terrible, page take so long to load, now with the KFC advertisement it takes forever, waste of time...today Sunday 108 pages, never able to read the whole newspaper, even though I resorted to uninstall then re installing

Please bring back the old app the new one lacks so much. This is definitely one time that the upgrade is far worst than the original. "why reinvent the wheel".

It was a relief to see I can actually use this app without the nonsense that Express gives. Need more content in the Classifieds though.

Takes very long for pages to load even if you download the entire papers. Was this app even tested for load times? Or some sort of user testing?

Not worth it. I paid for a subscription and it doesn't work well. I also emailed the guardian for help - I am still waiting.

Very unstable. Cannot read an article without the page disappearing.

App worked for a week or two, but now it won't go past the loading page.

Too many ussues with thisnnew app. Takes far too long to open. I miss the old one.

The app isn't working since september. Can an update be issued on the situation.
