The Dyrt: All Campgrounds, RV Campsites, Glamping

There are a lot of good reviews here.. I was seriously let down! I fumbled around with the app, it doesn't seem to find stuff very easy, won't pull up major campgrounds around beach areas, and wouldn't even save or load a trip. Kept saying connection error. Doesn't seem worth paying for, so cancelled the 7 day trial after about 10 min. From what I can tell it's not much better than Google maps, you just have to search campgrounds near me..

Best app for camping! 15 days hammock camping across the US and I used it to search dispersed camping sites. ( you can search parks and campgrounds also ) Didn't have to spend a single dollar on lodging. The far out camping spots they give you coordinates for your GPS and you can download the maps/spots when you know you won't have service. Can't rave enough about this app. 100% worth it.

Meh, not intuitive and too many gimmicks clouding the pages. Navigation is cryptic with information buried under layers of button pushing. Okay, I tried to like THE DYRT. They responded quickly to my inquiries, but even with that I found the learning curve frustrating so I uninstalled.

It looks promising. The "pro" feature nagging is a bit annoying. I originally thought the map didn't work in the free version, however it appears that you must zoom into an area for markers to populate.

The app is okay, but I booked a camping trip with the app and the rv park said they couldn't sign in to accept my reservation. They told me I could book at the full price. No savings here, not worth the price of a pro upgrade.

It's better at finding obscure campground than Google however there is no telling if they actually exist because there are several camping spots that are heavily misplaced just in my area. I'm in socal and it gives markers for site that are literally hundreds of miles from it's marked point. Having to Google if a site is real after finding it on this app defeats the who purpose of this app.

I gave you all the stars because the difficulty I'm having I believe is my lack of familiarity with the app. I really like the explore map option cause we're always looking to go new places.

Seems to work "ok" for finding things around you or on short trips. A long round trip just results in it saying "no stops found." It also seems to randomly tell me I'm offline when I'm sitting at home on WiFi and other apps are working fine, forcing me to quit and lose progress on the trip I'm planning. ETA: Revising up a bit after contact from the team. It still loses network connection pretty predictably, but it was explained the "no stops found" issue is due to a 10k km trip limit on their end that the app doesn't warn you about. Splitting the trip up into smaller legs dealt with that issue.

Seems like a good idea and have decent information. The photos have an issue loading for me. Tried clearing cache, force stopping app but didn't work. App or support behind it needs some work to be reliable for me.

We found 1 accurate campground on here. There definitely needs updates on prices. We traveled across country and I would punch in with electric and I would get suggestions to primitive sites. I'm glad I only bought a one month trial. One campground said $28- $32 and it was $50 another said $18 and it was $30.

Overall it works well and is a nice app but if you like to leave reviews multiple places then be aware that if you type in your review on The Dyrt first that it does not allow you to copy and paste to a different app or service. Pretty annoying. Guess I'll post other places first.

Pretty accurate description of what to expect at campsites, cell coverage is pretty close to what I experienced. Overall very helpful.

This is supposed to make things easy? It sucks. Tons of prompts to go pro and 90% of the homepage is about how pro is the way to go is freaking annoying. And then you need to sign up and fill out your profile to even search. And once you do, you don't see availability. You have to exit the app to go to the facilities website to go through their prompts before you can see availability. I was looking for a way to make it easier to plan last minute trips, not give me an extra step to do.

Needs more pictures and map needs more comprehensive icons, filtered by tent locations but it still shows me RV spots, have to tap on map pin to see what kind of camping it is. A bit clunky

It's accurate which is incredibly helpful. Lots of cool features. Helps with finding dispersed/dry campsites. Best app for camping.

DONT DO IT!!! Googled free camp sites/boondocker spots. An add for this app popped up, down loaded it. Not a single free camp ground/boondocker location. Just Google search camp ground and and get better result. Borderline scam!!

First of all, I am extremely unhappy with my purchase of $35 a year. There is nothing being offer with this subscription price bit to make it worse, they charged me twice.

Excellent resource. I use it for checking tent camping, which is not the primary intended use, so it's a bit fiddly for my purposes

Living in middle TN I figured I'd see a ton of options. Nope. 2 seconds on Google was more useful. Maybe in a few years I'll try again.

Great search features and we love to save to maps for longer trips.

Off Season the water level is low. The access to the water requires driving down about 100 feet past the docks.

way more results than just a quick Google search, great app, very useful in finding just the right camp.

I can name any place and find many possible campgrounds!! While brand new at RV camping, it was difficult to fine places nearby. They're pulls it together effortlessly. Thank you!!

oh my goodness! easy peasy way of finding a campsite where you want to go. some sites even have price listed. I love this app

I'm in California. Why are the results so random and sometimes no results where there is literally a dozen campgrounds? Unreliable results. Uninstalled.

Very useful app though it seems like I have to start over on searches whenever I look into the detail of one identified RV park and then want to go back to look at another. Perhaps I just don't know how to navigate the app properly, but this makes the apps use a bit clungky to use at present.

More modern user interface but never ended up using it due to weak data content. We instead stayed with Campendium, RV park and others. Paid a lot of money for it and was a complete waste and not as good as free sites.

I have the current version firmware on a Galaxy Note 9. As soon as I went pro... (paid you) the app now crashes the second I touch anything in it. It worked just fine when it was free. I paid for a pro membership and clearly the app doesn't work I demand a refund.

Just upgraded to the Pro version and the app still is shutting itself off when I click on something. Unable to create a trip or look anything up. Wife and I are headed South to Arizona tomorrow from Seattle in our brand new RV towing our Jeep Wrangler! Woot! Woooooot!! Woooooooooooot!!! Hope to find a RV trip app that works and soon!!! *** UPDATE*** December 20th, 2021. After checking I had the most current version, I did a Samsung Clean-up & cache. The app then worked a lot better...

App is glitchy. After a few campgrounds I have to close the app and restart. Otherwise it's nice.
