The app needs to be improved. I downloaded 30 articles of an issue; I changed the language; after I changed back, I need to download it again. The Chinese & English language display is not great. Reader need to jump between one page and another again and again.
Perfect app to go through different articles.Very much ease when it comes to change the font size, background which enables better readability.Text to speech is a bonus feature which provides complete detail about the article without even looking at it.Great work by developers.
I paid $96.99 in Google Play but the app keeps asking for subscription or wechat activation. I cannot read any of the articles. I contacted developer and am stilling waiting for a reply.
Keeps crashing and cannot access. I am using a nexus10 with latest Android software. A real pity as I am a big Economist fan!
I like this apps because it consists of 1. reputable article 2. Learning chinese 中文 and english 3. Listening function

it`s charging me without my permission， do not use it
I wish that when it asks me if I want English or Chinese, it would change the menus into English as well. This app us aimed at Chinese practicing English but not the other way around. They should make that apparent.
cannot use in Oneplus 5. Stop at the preview and cannot access to the content. It was good in Apple Store but cannot be used in Android devise. Feel disappointed.
After summit the error report to GBR, it fixes the abruptly shutting down when users click My favorite. Perfect!
Most recent version of the app more stable as compared to the old one
Buggy to the point of unusability. Crashes constantly, frequent download hangs, drains battery life like nothing else. Nice idea (I am, for the time being, a paying subscriber), but junk in its current form.

Can not read after paid
bad app, don't understand why need permission for phone , meanwhile always Lock up when you start it
Asks permission to "Make and Manage Calls". Scuzzy tactic! Undermines their reputation as a so-called reputable company
Can anyone understand that a news application needs permission to make calls from my telephone? And to manage my telephone calls? Sounds like a joke. But isn't it weird that of all the apps by The Economist, this -in Chinese- is the only one that requires that permission?
In depth analysis, broad subject. Great content. But the app itself is almost a disaster. The touch translation is too sensitive. Everytime i scroll down, it will translate. The index of month is off. It shows November but it is actually an issue for December. Sometimes it crashes at startup. We cannot disable the notification? Please add that! It has been freaking annoying.
As a paid subscriber, I never read one article completely successfully. It always UNFORTUNATELY STOPPED even you just scroll.
I have bought subscription, but cannot login as a subscriber. The login button even disappeared, it ask for subscription again

Translation overoptimized at phrase level, losing global rhythm
I have paid the subscription fee for a year, and the app keep showing I didn't subscribed and unable to view the content. Contacted with the app developer, they can't help but only apologize and told me they already escalate the problem to respective department. It has been two weeks, both Google Play and Economist said they are unable to refund. A terrible experience!
