New initial displays:
• Tablet
- In landscape, the display initially shows a single page and the headline index. In portrait, a single page is scaled to fit-width.
• Phone
- In landscape, the display initially shows a two page spread. In portrait, a single page is scaled to fit-height.
Tap and read/zoom:
• A single tap on a story, ad or graphic will display that item in a separate reading window. Swipe L/R to previous/next story, pinch to size.
• A double tap on a page and display will zoom where tapped. A second double tap returns page to default size. Pinch page any time to zoom.
• Change default tap actions for single, double and two-finger taps in Options > Settings screen.
New designs and organization:
• New fonts, layouts, icons and labels simplify and ease use
Read off-line or on-line:
• Faster on-line reading, uses less bandwidth
• Select edition to download for off-line reading or select off-line reading as the default
• Special low-bandwidth mode ideal when roaming
Performance:

From time to time the screen does not focus and pages merge together and are unable to be read which is very frustrating, usually with the article I want to read the most.
The page view part of my subscription is a bit buggy on my Chromebook. It doesn't like to view the edges of the page. Otherwise this is a decent app.
Doesn't go to the front page properly. Freezes up a lot requiring reopening. On the plus side easy to send articles.
I would love this app if it loaded everyday and didn't shut down all the time. Very frustrating when I only have so much time to read the paper in the morning.
Will not display news. Loads and goes to a blank screen. Has to be done repeatedly to get anything.
We travel out of town a lot, and this is a great way to keep in touch with what's happening back home. Ap is easy to use, and loads quickly even in areas with poor cellular coverage.
What a marvelous app this is! So much information at our finger tips whenever and wherever we are. If I could I would double the number of stars to ten!
Previously crashed all the time, now the latest update won't run at all. Very dissapointed

this app works excellent now, after my first review which was with the original app it didn't work very well, it would not login or it wouldn't let me log in, this version works absolutely perfect on my Samsung pad.
I never know when the ap will open so I can read paper on the go. its gotten a little better. Not sure I am going to continue online subscription its a bit expensive.
While this app could be better, I very much prefer the format of a traditional paper that this app uses to the linear web page format. 8/13/20 Update: I believe an update was pushed to my phone. I can't find a revision log that shows any changes since 2013 (seven years ago). The new revision seems to have problems on my device. So far, I have had problems with the screen freezing and not displaying text. I may attempt to roll back to the previous revision if I can find a way to do so. 9/13/20 Up
