Giving it 3 stars because the graphics were nice story was intriguing, and what I could play was entertaining but having gotten stuck right at chapter 1 I r went to find a walk through after following the instructions of 3 different walkthroughs I realised that the click puzzle wasn't working on my phone. The game also froze on me twice. One other puzzle controls were not responding. Sad I liked what I could play, but too frustrating to when the controls for the puzzles arent working
Unable to go any further in the game. I solved the puzzle but the shelf won't slide away from the wall. I even looked up on YouTube (which I never do.) I followed step by step exactly as the video showed. Didn't help though, I have the right answer, but the game seems to be glitched. Not worth reinstalling. The graphics are poor, you can't zoom in, it's difficult to see, and the game is very slow. Not enough to keep my interest. I would not pay for this game. (It was included in Play Pass).
This game is very good. It got extremely complicated once I got to the Planetarium. Nothing more after that made any sense, I had to use a walkthrough on YouTube. But please get rid of the circular puzzle near the water. Or just changed the way it can be solved. Multiple pieces moving at the same time makes it extremely complicated to complete a puzzle. I've been working on this puzzle far too long. Other words it is a great game, amazing graphics and pleasant music. Thanks to the Developers.
This game is great, it is not a simple one. What Im not fun of, is that it requires too much clicking to not to miss active zones, artifacts and etc. But the puzzles, atmosphere and everything else is brilliant. And I see why some rated it with one star, yes it is frustrating to realize you don't have enough brains to beat the game. And please don't mention the rooms series, this one is different!
*Update* Someone else mentioned the blue light filter in the comments, and that solved my issues! If it won't work, check for a screen dimmer or blue light filter. Definitely 5 star game! I LOVE this game so far, but most of the time, it doesn't work for me. The app opens but is completely unresponsive to my touch. I really, really want to play more because the puzzles are fabulous and the graphics are gorgeous, but I can't get it to work! If you fix this, I'll definitely update to 5 stars.
This game is awesome. I love the Room games, and this is better because it is more challenging. The graphics are amazing, the puzzles are good and the rooms of the castle seem endless. I have used 2 hints online so far from a hint site (lots of those exist), if you need that use it but enjoy the challenge. People who are hating on this game clearly just haven't taken the time to think, because often the solutions can be pretty clear, it just may take time to get there. Highly recommend
Edit. I've managed to find out the issue (without any help, but this is a one man band though you expect to get support for the cost). It is a fine achievement, and a great addition to this genre, and I am hopeful there will be others from this studio. And the problem? A screen dimming night light which prevents some apps registering various touches for some reason.
A good game in the same vein as the Room series. I enjoyed this game, however a handful of the puzzles were damn near unsolvable. The rotating painting in the basement of the observatory for 1. Some paintings earlier had an optional code to find and enter instead of solving the puzzle. Even a walkthrough said this was trial and error, and could take 5 minutes or 5 days to solve. That, and the lack of a hint system, drops a star. But otherwise it's a great game.
A varied mix of puzzle difficulties, some of them proved quite difficult. Toughest part of the game is finding the active content. It is tedious to have to click on every pixel on the screen just to see whether an action can be performed there. The "highlight content" option does nothing as far as I can tell. Otherwise, the graphics are great and the storyline well scripted.
Good game! Great story! You can see the DEV TEAM sense of humor real quick! I like there are no hints, makes it more challenging. The only issue I have found is the controls. If you back out of the app, to send a message or your screen times out, the controls freeze and you have to force close to restart the entire app. It loads really quickly so it is not a huge deal. It is rather annoying tho.
Really enjoying this game. Clever and intelligent. As a veteran of such games, The Room series, Legacy, all three, (hope there is a fourth on the way), and the Da Vinci series, I know the 'nature of the beast', as it were. I understand the reviewers frustrations about the lack of hints, but it is worth it. Having said that I had to resort to YouTube ,(once so far), after 2 hours play! One comment I do agree with is a map would be a great addition.
The game wasn't logical when compared to others, a lot of wandering around to find what to do next. Some u could see connections between puzzles and some puzzles needed exact line ups to make them work, so a lot of fiddling around. Those paintings with specific frames that matched the boxes were ridiculous. I needed the walkthrough for them, maybe because the game was so dark. Not a chance it can be compared to The Room.
It's definitely a good game. Good graphics and music. Engaging, one ends up caring about what happened to the family that lived there. Would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the glitchy controls when it comes to inserting keys/cylinders etc. It shouldn't take over an hour, quitting the game, or restarting the phone to be able to insert something. Still haven't managed the pivoting art cylinder keys, graphics matched up perfectly, won't insert. Got too frustrated after an hour and moved on!
Very playable on an Android phone, though admittedly some things are tiny! Closest game to The Room games (LOVE!) that I've played on my phone. 5 stars overall, though some puzzles required walkthrough consults, which is rare for me. Nice long game; no save issues. SPOILER: Yes, you will need to collect all the random collectibles before you can finish the game, so might as well pick them up whenever you see them. I used a walkthrough when I couldn't find a few.
Amazing game! Right at the beginning on the way to the castle, I knew I was in for something special. The graphics are gorgeous! The entire game is so well thought out. Detail. Everything from the story to the design of the castle to the puzzles is incredible. The puzzles do become more challenging as you go. Very challenging. If I could suggest anything to improve the game, it would be to put in a hint system. This ranks up there with the best (The Room series, DaVinci, Legacy 2 & 3). Stunning!
Meh... This game would have recieved 5 stars, BUT.... It stopped working after I got to the third chapter. I had to uninstall and then reinstall. After doing so, all my progress had been lost completely. Several hours of gameplay just gone! I'm not pleased, as other games like this tend to save the data and pick up right where you left off. Also, there is no hints at all to what you're supossed to be doing. No clues whatsoever. Very dissappointed.
LOVED this game! I've played a lot of games: Myst, the Room series, Forever Lost, and everything in between. This game reminds me of the PC game "Darkness Falls" in atmosphere. I know some wanted hints (and I admit, some of those puzzles sent me right to the nearest walk through!) but I think it would detract from the experience. One thing I will complain about: that darn wall puzzle! Only got it by a fluke. Not fun at all. Loads of fun otherwise. Eagerly awaiting a sequel.
I played many puzzle games. This one is too dark and the navigation is too confusing to be enjoyable. Too bad. The graphics are ok, except for its darkness as already mentioned, and the puzzles are good. But I had hard times to figure out the map of the place. Please make it brighter and easier to travel. Thanks.
