The Factory

Can you build a self-sustaining factory without going bankrupt? You win the game once it's capable of playing itself!
"I like building forklifts." — Lenore

The Factory is a mash-up of a crafting sim, resource manager and clicker. Start by purchasing raw materials, building basic items to sell at a profit, and slowly working up the crafting chain to the more complex items. The highest tier items are called Builders, and are capable of manufacturing items for you. There's even a Builder Builder which manufactures more builders.

"NEED MOAR" — Richard

The Factory contains two In-app Purchases, a bailout and a supply package. Most players should never need these, and indeed if you run out of money you can just start over with a generous initial budget. However, if you just need a small bump to keep going, maybe a bailout is for you. Alternatively if you want to jumpstart a production run, a supply package can save you time.

This game was made as a hobby project more than anything else, and was inspired by the concept of a clicker that clicks for you.

Decent, thought i still don't know how to get the builders. Edit: with time, i unlocked the builders. You should show us wich item we have to craft to unlock anothers, and probs ad some new items. TBH, i really like the game, just waiting for some improvements. Also, make the clicking part a little easier, i mean, the jet takes a lot of clicks...

At the beginning it's ust perfect. At the end it breaks. The automation doesn't work right, the taskers are idling way too often, the sellers start to sell components like the assembly line and the manual prioritization can't help. Actually it makes the things worse. The game itself starts to close by itself. The last achievement is pointless (waiting only). Still I really liked the rest of the game. Hope you see it fixed and hopefully expanded. New game with the same concept would be great.

Great game with a few issues: * The run in background doesn't work, instead app crashes once you leave it. * There are no notifications to hold the game open so it does run in the background. * Wish there was a way to enter a buy/sell quantity in addition to the +/- system. Ordering 999 of something requires holding down the + for a while.

Really good game. Sad I unlocked everything. The purchasing needs more work. Really wish that you didn't have to click or press to buy things. Maybe just type "999". Also the purchaser doesn't keep buying past 10 items. Gets old fast and slows production. I got to a point where I just mass produced jets, liquidated ALL inventory, and deleted the game.

Just as simply complex as the last time I saw it... Love the game... And regarding the crashes people mention.. in personal experience this has never happened in the past but has only happened once when I recently re downloaded this and the progress setback was like 1 min.. I was buying large amount of metal and concrete for mass bridge making and it set me back to before the buy

Good fun for a few hours of game play. After 4 or so hours you essentially clock the game, but enjoyable enough for what it is. A few crashes from time to time (for me anyway) but nothing much lost. Best of all, no ads that i saw, and no pressure to pay for stuff.

I love this game, i love the element of buying a bunch of randome materials and seeing what they make from the basic 14 things you can make. The tutorial is easy, it explains the mechanics of the game in a non confusing way. Although i did find something that doesn't really make sense, and that is when you sell something that takes over 2 minutes, once it hits 2 minutes, it goes to 1 minute it makes you wait an entirely new minute then it counts down from 60. Just trying to help.

This game is interesting and engaging, but terribly frustrating. The main goal is to build stuff in a factory and make a profit. You can eventually build automation to make more stuff faster with fewer clicks. However, the logic in the automatons is *terrible*. I don't know if this was done on purpose to make the game challenging or accidentally because it's hard to do, but either way it takes most of the fun out of the game. The seller starts selling things at a loss, builders aren't efficient.

This game is awesome. It doesn't have unrealistic currency like a lot of other games like this, it doesn't have annoying ads or that many, if any. It's just a simple fun little game. Wish there were more choices and options. The purchasing automation is bad at the start because it eats all your money. The sell automation sells anything when you get lower on money which can be annoying.

Good game? No. The building side is fun but selling... not so much, there's a large wait for premium items and since there's no background activity, a large portion of game time wasted. Then there's the bugs; started playing... great. Runs like a normal game but of course I progressed and earned a lot of money, which was somehow lost, along with most of my inventory, then I look at the sales history and oh my, what's that? my game save was lost just like that. Fortunately it's simple and boring

Fun at first, but the automation is very limited and I lost interest when I saw that all automation automatically chose just one item to make, and that there was no way to change that. If I was able to pick which items my builders would try to make, then the game would be more awesome and naturally encourage me to keep playing. Even limiting the number of builders (either of each tier or in total) that I have would be fine. Or even just one for each item type automatically assigned would work.

Fantastic, would be 5 stars but I feel this game could truly benefit from time progressing when the app is closed. For example I had a task that took ~90 minutes to complete, but to my disappointment, when I came back several hours later, it hadn't progressed at all. This in no way ruins the app, I just feel like it could be better. If it looks like something you might enjoy, trust me, it's worth a shot.

It was fun to start, but late game is a bit boring, due to lack of ways to customise the automation, which reduce the playability. It would be good to be able to pin multiple items so one can build a sequence that lead to certain Tier 3/4 items, atm it is very inefficient to produce things like the jet. Still a fun game to play, thanks.

i definitely like this concept but i wish the crafting menu could be collapsed or condensed. having to scroll up and down constantly and sometimes I forget what I was needing to craft for a higher tier item. so i gotta go back and find the thing i was trying to make and then go back up to find that item i needed. i feel like it could be a little more simple

Doesn't run in the background. Also, there's no reward system after unlocking all the items, so it gets stale very fast. And there are no large profit items. When buying/selling you have to hold to purchase large quantities instead of being able to buy the max amount all at once, and manufacturing is worse because you have to individually tap repeatedly unless you have the flawed auto builders. Ok at first but the game gets boring and monotonous quickly.

It's a great game for a day or two but there's nothing to do once you've built all the machines. Would like to see more tiers and products and the game need better automation control such as scheduling or multi-pinning at least. The game is enjoyable, free and has no ads so can't complain. Would love to play again if the game got more features added

Good game to waste a bit of time on. Needs quality of life improvements, and as it is, when you build all the robots you can (and there is an arbitrary limit for each of them. ...for some reason.) There's... nothing to do left. No real goal to work towards. Nothing new to build. Not even any real way you can waste your heaps of money. It'd be nice to at least be able to build as many automators as I can. Enjoy exponential growth. Could've served as a bit of a commentary on industrial growth.

I LOVE IT. It's an amazing game simple and fun and doesn't get out of control. Although I would love to see more things you can make and buy for example, a house or a playground, and a park. I would love love love to see that so please add this. You really need to download if you're into having complete control over your experience. Yes it does get a little repetitive but that's were the automation come in.

Must say, I've enjoyed this game since I've tried it out. No ads, and is a great game for offline players. A few things I think should improve. (1) The item you are building, with the required items, replace it with "Need: x". It's a bit cluttered trying to figure out how many items you need. (2) There should be a "Go" button to the required items that you need to build your main item. It's annoying scrolling up and down again and again to find the item. Other than that, it's a great game.

Very nice concept. I would give it 5 stars if it worked. Firstly my builder is bankrupting me by building goods which cost more to make than to sell. I would like to be able to customise the way builders choose what to build next. For example, don't build motors unless you need it for another product. -1* Secondly, if I minimise the game everything stops. Most clicker/builder games have offline progression of some sort. -1* It's a beautiful game, lots of potential, pity about those 2 issues.

And. B. Oct 26, 2019

A good if not great skeleton marred by the lack of any meat on it. The concept is good, discovering new items by producing components before it is quite brilliant honestly, the mechanics overall solid. But this desperately needs options to fine-tune the whole process, have SOME control over the production, priorities and thresholds. Let me stockpile more than 20 items before they start being sold automatically! I hope this game receives an update at some point.

Good concept, but I dislike that the purchaser cant be directed on what to purchase. I dont need rare metals as much. It would be nice to have a streamlined process from beginning to end. Also no idle feature. It would be nice to log off and come back to at least a few things made. I would even take a slower process ig offline. (IE takes a minute to make a box, I would accept 5+ minutes per box offline).

I'm rating it with 4 stars because the game is very well designed and developed. The remaining star is for some motivation to keep it for longer a time. I'm thinking sth like having some challenges, maybe with deadlines to meet; production hazzards like builder's malfunction, etc. Plus there could be a little more control over the automated production. The pin is great, but still the automated builders will go on building other stuff. Maybe there could be a way of telling what not to build.

Its a decent game. I enjoyed trying to figure out the best strategy to generate revenue automatically, but once found you run out of new things to do quickly. The automated buying and selling need work. There is no way to specify which items to buy or which to sell. If you are building tier 3 items, you don't really want to sell off the components. Also, it would be nice to automate more than 1 item from each tier for manufacturing.

Jam. C. Aug 28, 2019

Pretty fun game, amusing but confusing at points when you're trying to remember everything. When you get to the end (doesnt take much longer than 2 hours of being productive) the automation is terrible, inefficient and the higher tiers just waste your stuff. The sellers sell the basic products you need. The only good automated part are the purchasing taskers
