A board game is a dream machine, a vehicle to create an alternative reality. In THE FARMING GAME®, each player starts the game with 20 acres inherited from Grandpa. This property includes 10 acres in hay and 10 acres in grain. The 20 acres is not a large enough farm to make a living for a family, so each game farmer must also have a part-time job in town. With each completed trip around the game board you receive $5,000 from your year's wages to plow back into the farm. The object of THE FARMING GAME" is to build your farm large enough to be able to quit the job in town, come home to be your own boss, and farm full time. If you can do that without going broke, you win the game! $250,000 in total net assets are required to win THE FARMING GAME®. The gaming track is the calendar year, with a square for each week. Crops are harvested by the roll of the dice (about as much control as real farmers feel they have over yields and prices received for their crops). In THE FARMING GAME®, there is enough acreage for six players to diversify into a hay, grain, fruit, or cattle operation. Each individual farm is capable of pasturing 20 head of cattle. If any player wishes to run more than 20 cows, he can try to lease one of the range units in the hills.

THE LUCK OF THE DICE: I have had some customer express concern that the dice seem to roll in favor of the computer. Rest assured that the dice rolls are completely random. The same algorithm is used for human and computer players, whether rolling to move or rolling for a job.
I have used the algorithm to automate 100,000 rolls for 6 players over a 3 hour time period (600,000 rolls). You can see the data I have collected in this Google spread sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag2FKYHtP4mSdERrU3oyX3pfejlkRjI1R3d1RHo1Mmc#gid=0. You will notice that the data is very skewed after 10 rolls, but become more and more normalized with more rolls (players 1 and 3 started off very well, while player 4 did not, but everyone ends up in essentially the same spot). After 10 rolls for each player (60 rolls) the standard deviation is only 0.1146. After 600,000 rolls there is a standard deviation is a mere 0.0012.

The real version of the farming game is so much fun, but the low quality of the animations in the app really takes away from the experience and is very distracting.
very pissed off. bought the game 24hrs ago and still unable to play. If problem is not solved in the next 24 hrs I will be requesting a refund. payed for it twice. uninstalled and reinstalled shut phone off and back on multiple times and still nothing.
I paid for this game and it won't even let me play. Everytime i try to open the app it quits out. frustrated i spent money on this! i love the board game but the app doesn't work.
Same as others here. Installed on newer phone( s10) and will no run. Upsetting but I was refunded with no issue. Hopefully developers fix this. I really enjoy the board game.

It's a fun boardgame to play. This app mirrors it to a small degree. But the gameplay needs work. Too much clicking to advance the game at some points, like when the CPU is playing. Also, whatever program they have running the roll of the die seems flawed. For the payouts I've gone an entire game without rolling higher than a 3. Once there were four 1's in a row. There's definitely room for improvement, but overall a fun game to play.
One of the AI players put a field up for auction, and another of the AI players bought it, but didn't have enough money. The game is making me finish the AI player's turn for them, and all the possible options for getting the money the AI needs don't work. Buttons won't click. I so want to love this app as much as I've loved the board game since I was a kid, but so far I'm disappointed. :(
update: upgraded my phone, game no longer opens! hoping for a fix soon. Theme is wonderful, freezes often and crashes sometimes. Over time the randomized settings become a problem. For instance the players will receive the same OTB or fate card for three turns. Also, over time the computer player 'magically' rolls high harvests and gets fortuitous breaks making it almost impossible to beat. I blame this on the programming of randomized playing.
1. After the update i cant even start the game. it says forced close. The same thing happened to my friend even after re-installing it. 2. I hate that you cant change the rules on how you win. I was playing smart and only buying stuff i could afford and eventually i had a ton of money. The computer player bought everything he could and put himself in major debt but he won the game because his value was higher than mine because of how much stuff he owned. I wouldve won twice over before he payed his debt.
I have been enjoying the game. Once in a while, it freezes up but I shut it down, restart the game, and load the autosaved game. I increased the CPU speed and that has helped the game play. My two wishes would be: 1. To be able to adjust the amount of money for a win, and 2. to be able to play with friends online.
The game won't freaking start after the "update" or whatever you call that thing that screwed it up
Graphics is so bad. No online mp..no blu toth. Don't waste your money in this. Just install Rento
At first I was skeptical, but it was pretty consistent. Computers roll 6s more often than players. I won one game out of five. I really love the game but it was getting annoying.
I love this game. Please look into making an online version where multiple people can play from different phones when they have time
I bought the game and I can't even open it, keeps crashing on me, a waste of money.
I still have my original board game that I had when I was a kid back in the 70s. I am so glad that somebody took the time to develop this game. THANKS!

This game just stops now after the marshmallow update..
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! the game favors the computer and its impossable to win or compete against the computer!!!!!!! Again don't waste your money on this game. love the board game but the dice roll in favor of the game, 9 times out of 10 you get 1's and 2's and the game player gets high numbers. Would love to give it a higher rating but can't with the problems

Well I love the board game so much that I thought I would like the game instantly so I dont even try the lite version and I buy the paid version I install it on my s8 and i open it then it closes and I repeat this multiple times and it's the same every time. So from what I've gathered it doesn't work on newer phones my guess is the developers are lazy or gave up on the game, if I could give it a 0 star I would. Dont buy it.
