Fun and creepy. Wish it had been longer. There is a bug where the toolbar disappears if you open your inventory, then hit the back button with inventory still on screen, then tap the center circle of the inventory. I think that's the correct sequence. If you drag any item instead of tapping the center, it doesn't make the toolbar disappear. Also, tapping outside of the open photos sometimes sends them to the back layer instead of closing, but clicking the album again will close it. 2019-09-30.
This was a great shorter game. Excellent atmosphere and story. It did glitch (hehe) on me once at the eye puzzle, it saved my photos, the controls disappeared, and it forced me to go back to the beginning. Would have been more of an issue had I been further along. All that being said it, was a great game from a great company.
Genuinely challenging game and a very interesting story line. They did an excellent job creating a genuinely creepy vibe. I absolutely love the camera tool, which not only let's you draw on the pictures in app but also let's you look at the picture and solve the puzzle at the same time! I hope there's a sequal in the making!
Mostly middling & short escape game. It's nicely atmospheric with decent puzzles & GENERALLY user friendly controls. Selecting 1 pin after another & balls in 2 separate puzzles, going in & out of the menu was tedious tho. The ending left more questions than answers & was ultimately unsatisfying as well. Also, searching for matches to light a fire when the graphics clearly display 10 lit candles in the hallway next door, is just dumb! Like any normal person wouldn't use them! Could've been better
Very atmospheric haunted house puzzle game. Excellent progression through the environment from a game perspective. The game is a little dark, so you may want to turn up your screen brightness to be able to see everything you need to. Most puzzles are logical extensions of the world; I only got completely stuck once! The ending is a clean, creepy finish. Well done!
Polished escape room, but very hard and no hint feature. Sometimes the only way forward is to revisit every area you've already been to to see what has changed, if anything. If stuck you need to leave the game and cheat online. There's also no map so it's sometimes easy to get lost.
You play for about 5 minutes then it ask you to buy it to continue. What little I could play wasn't interesting enough to buy game
The reviews saying the puzzles are too hard must have been written by people who need even basic escape room puzzles spoonfed to them... compared to most escape room type games, this one makes total sense and is almost easy. The game is several years old so it isn't as graphic-intensive as newer apps but it's still really well done. Very atmospheric. Wear headphones. If a cup of coffee is worth $2, so is this game. Too bad there can't be a sequel ;)
I don't know whatvto do I just take pictures of important stuff and leave. I recommend that you don't play this game and it's very scary
I loved the game. Really amazing BUT, i don't want to pay to see what happened. Edit: I know you need money somehow and things and I didn't say you had to make it free I was just saying so anyone out there can know before hand. You could also put adverts when you're about to go onto the next chapter and use ads for clues. Just an idea, again you don't have to I was just stating my opinion.
I wanted to play this game, but the edge panel is so bright and annoying and there's no option to hide it while playing. It was so distracting I just uninstalled it in favour of another game that doesn't have this issue. It looks fun, so I'd try it again if the option to hide the edge panel in the future is available.
Sorry Glitch Games, but this game really is glitchy. The inventory icon and other icons keep disappearing. Need to exit completely and resume to get them back,. Also puzzles are not intuitive at all... I found them extremely difficult, and gave up.
Creepy Ending! It took me a bit to clue in to the logic used in this game but after I figured out what to use as clues and how to read those clues the game moved along. It's not easy but it is doable. I enjoyed it and was a bit gobsmacked by the ending. No spoilers here!
Paid for and really was excited.. Eventually just pressed the refund button like 10 or 15 minutes later. Of course it's just my opinion but I kind got bored really fast. It's just lost me very quickly and as soon as I realized there was a refund button I pressed it fast seeing I was already feeling regret. I think the game had a great chance to be fun but dropped the ball. Shame cause this developer always makes decent games. Anyhow, glad I got to just try it first.
Quality over quantity. I enjoyed this game. You have it all, a spooky old mansion, musty and decaying rooms, with some diabolical puzzles to solve. Just the right amount of difficulty. The cherry on top of the cake was the ending...unexpected and delightfully fun. Once you finish the game, you will sit mouth agape, saying, "How else could it have ended?" Then for a long period of time, you will remind yourself NOT to enter blindly into a dark room. Play it at your own risk....
Excellent - as always, I needed a bit of help (thanks, Appunwrapper!) but I'm really getting the hang of how the puzzles work. Very enjoyable, and just scary enough for me.
The developers should pay attention to the tone of their responses to reviews. Whether meaning to be or not, the response to the review below was sparky. I'm pretty sure the last year has been difficult for everyone. I'm sure tensions are high. I know it around my area. But, the review, that could've been a little differently, was not trying to belittle the game or work put into it. Otherwise the demo is great. Nicely done.
Atmosphere is nice, but for all of the items I picked up and solving the first puzzle.. which was garbage that I figured out by association not by actual provided clues. I like to solve puzzles, not guess at what I need to click.
It was a fun game untill really early on it asked me to purchase the next episode.....not for a few pounds either. What I did play i enjoyed but not enough to purchase all the episodes just to play it.
Good graphics but I wish I didn't have to buy the rest of the game! I barely played :'[ the plot seemed nice tho!
Review edit- I did actually figure this game out. I must say I liked it enough to play all the other glitch games. Ferris Mueller is prob my favorite but I played them all & hope to play more soon.
Tried cutting the voodoo doll in the attic down with the knife to get the string several times, with no success. Update: yes I tried using the knife on the string and keep getting the message "That doesn't seem to help."
Liked the game! Hints would be good because some of the puzzles are abit random. The ending was very anticlimactic so I do expect a sequel...until then, 3 stars!
So i really just paid $2.11 for a game that only last 10 minutes and has no jump scares or ever slightly scary. PPL DO NOT DOWNLOAD. NOT WORTH IT. Game is too easy, simple and Self explanitory. My 5 year old played it after me and she beat it in 20 minutes. Once again "SHE IS 5 YEARS OLD" I WANT A REFUND THAT IS REDICILOUSE. PLEASE REMAKE YOUR GAME AND MAKE IT WORTH THE $2.11 OTHER WISE ITS ONLY WORTH .25 CENTS. I have played lamer games but atleast they had jump scares! Sad😐😐😶
Was enjoying this game until it suddenly ended without resolving the mystery as if it ran out of ideas! OK for the price but won't bother with any sequels.
The puzzles made sense, I got lost on one or two, but easily found answers by taking a short break, coming back with fresh eyes, and figuring it out. The final step of the bucket one was a little unrealistic, even for a ghost story game. Controls and graphics were mainly good. I paid $1.99 for the full game, well worth it. There are a lot of comments about the anti-climatic ending, which is kind of true, but it ties in the story well. Overall, had a great time playing this game.
