The Frostrune

Short but very sweet game! A lot of care clearly went into crafting the atmosphere, sound design and overall aesthetics. Puzzles do not take gigantic leaps of logic to figure, which is always a plus, and the progression of the effect of the main character's action on the setting felt like I was actually doing stuff and helping out! A charming game, worth taking a look.

I really enjoyed every element of this game. From the stunning and realistic (and creepy) graphics and animations to, of course, really great music and soundtrack. And also the fact that it's not too hard but a little bit challenging. I, though, wished the story could indeed go on for a little bit coz I literally finished it within a few minutes time. Nonetheless, Five stars for this game! Kudos for the devs and looking forward to playing your other games in the future!

I really liked this game. It's very beautiful. I loved that you can access hints without watching ads. Loved that there were no ads. My suggestions would be a different way to click out of inventory menu by clicking anywhere on screen not just the satchel. Also a way to click through cut sceens and/or click out of it altogether. If you accidently prompt it multiple times, you can't get out of it, and some are long and slow. But really enjoyed it. Thanks for making it free. Good luck.

A spectacular game! Every detail in this game was impressive, the sound of water droplets when you go closer to the well, the sound of rain, the sound of ice thawing. I love how the storyline ventures into the Norse mythology while making the whole gaming experience feel real. It really does, trust me. The voice overs along with their beautiful artworks was splendid. I'd recommend this to anyone!

Best game i have ever played. . The story is great, sounds and musics are strange but i like them. Also the graphics are well done, especially the spirits. I like spirit of the seer . I don't have to watch video for anything, after i solve a puzzle the hints for the next one get unlocked automatically. . If you like escape games and or puzzle games you NEED to play this!

This game is simply lovely, very charming, and a joy to play. I'm a harsh critic and I am not keen on giving out 5 stars very often, as 5 stars suggests perfection, which this game is not. The story itself was not elaborate enough for me to feel attached to any of the characters, though the art style of the game and the over all mystery of the island was captivating. My first playthrough took only 3 hours with no guides.... I am excited to see the Devs make a more ambitious project.

It's an amazing game. The graphics are outstanding and the sound just seem too real. However there is some big problems. The game lags, a lot. Like, a LOT.and it kicks me out of the game when I want to talk to the ghost lady and doen't let me continue the game after that, and lastly, it changes the language randomly.I wish in the next update you would fix these problems but other than that it's really good game! Thank you!

Gorgeous to look at, but crashes constantly, sometimes on opening the app or with my first tap. About to uninstall and reinstall, and if I can get it working for me, I'll be back to revise this review. I got a little way in before this started happening,and from first impressions it'll be worth a bit of hassle. (Moto G, but plenty of spare space and other complicated, demanding games run fine.) UPDATE: No, it has made no difference. Very disappointed if I can't play this after all. :( UPDATE: some days it let me play a little longer before crashing, but I did finish the game. Crashes spoilt the atmosphere but I still liked spending time with the really lovely artwork. :) I very much appreciate the historical accuracy and the amount of work put in lovingly behind the scenes. Hints give too much away, if anything. Otherwise the Frostrune is beyond wonderful and I look forward to the sequel... can't wait to see a dragon by this artist! Please fix the crashes though!

This is a beautiful, creepy, wonderful game. Unfortunately, two of the puzzles are inexplicably frustrating. The Raven puzzle - pick pictures to match the stories, does not explain to only pick two pictures per story. Without knowing "2," it is impossible. The wooden chest is similarly unexplained. I think it is incredibly difficult to make challenging puzzle games, so I don't like to criticize unfairly. But there needs to be some tinkering.

Gorgeous game. Plays well, and I didn't see any ads. My main complaint is I found myself relying too much on hints in the pause menu. This is for two reasons: 1) some important features of the environment, like the pit and the beaver dam, blend into the background so well that I never thought they were interactable; and 2) the objectives are not very clear. Also I would prefer to have more puzzles about using tools, less about memorizing image and lock sequences. Otherwise, I loved the game!

This game was astounding in all aspects: concept, story, graphics, puzzles and effects. Learning a bit about the culture and myths while being immersed in a story was fun and amazing. The hints were free and there was no waiting for energy or in-app purchases. Moreover, I absolutely loved the music and soundtrack! If I could rate it higher, I would. In the credits, I saw the band name Wardruna. And I was just blown away. That was awesome to find out! Would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a Myst-type game, and I certainly got it! The artwork and sound design are absolutely stunning. I'm super stingy, but I'd pay for future games from these developers because this one was just that good. The only tiny spot of trouble I had was continually mixing up the inventory and back buttons; it would have been nice if opening the inventory hadn't obscured the back button.

Excellent game! Really tests your memory, logic & creativity. The runes, music, and setting are as historically accurate as any game I"ve ever seen. Best of all no ads and you can actually move around without paying 💰 every two seconds. It does take a bit of getting used to. It's not a simple point & shoot game. You have to think. How novel is that?

Really really loved the game. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a good adventure/brainteaser/logical puzzle game. It really engages one from the beginning till the end. I give a 10/10 on the storyline, art and the animation. The hints are simple and on point (but do try to complete without using the hints, it's more thrilling that way). Overall one of the best adventure games I've played in a while. Kudos to the team behind 'The Frostrune', great job guys.

Best game ever!!, you don't have to pay, don't have to wait , the graphic is quite great, storyline also great, puzzle also great, not too hard not too easy and most importantly doesn't use energy. I love it, please do more games like this, definitely I will play again. But need to improve more with the control, especially the back button. Overall, it's a great game!!

I would love another game like this! The storyline was amazing, the puzzles weren't overly complicated (hints are also free!), and the design and art are absolutely gorgeous. I can't get enough of Nordic style games! There are also no ads, so it's a full immersion into the game. It was also really cool that all the dialog is in Old Norse (I assume)! That brought me even further into the game. I highly recommend this game! I only wish it was longer!

This is the best mobile game I have played. The graphics are beautiful, the story is extremely compelling, the sound effects send shivers down the spine. The complete lack of ads leaves you immersed in the story. Hints are free allowing you to choose your frustration level before moving the story along when you get stuck. I also want to return to Norway and learn more about my Viking heritage!

A mix of easier and more challenging riddles. Beautifully made in both artwork, and voices/music. This is like a fancier Myst game, where you open more and more of the map as you solve each riddle. Didn't use the hints until much later in the game and that helped save some time. The hints are useful without being spoilers and giving you the answer outright. Brilliant! I wish there were more of these! I can't believe the entire thing is free; no ads. Want to donate some $, but can't.

Fantastic game, especially for being free! Gameplay is simple enough not to be frustrating, but difficult enough to be engaging. Graphics are amazing. The voice acting is wonderful & adds a lot to the over-all feeling. I also appreciate that the parts of the game that use music or voices as part of the puzzle also have visual clues that you can use on their own. So, if you can't play with sound, you can still solve that part. & no ads! I've paid for games that were not as well done as this one!

Absolutely loved the game! The voice acting was an amazing feature, and a pleasant surprise. Hadn't expected a game this great, honestly! My one and only complain would be that there's so much backtracking and you have to load through so many screens before reaching your destination. It's the only thing that bothered me. Maybe a mini-map would've been great to allow instant relocation? Though I can see people potentially missing clues that way maybe.. All in all, great game!

I just finished the game. The graphics were lovely and the interaction was awesome! There was a new little surprise with each completed task. I LOVED that the hints were available without cost of life or coin. This is probably my most favorite game. I love mystery and puzzles and this was all of that. To top it off, the game was free. Though it isnt explained in the download, most very large games need the photo space access in order to save game progress

One of the best mobile games I've ever played and that's coming from a very picky person. Great environment, sounds, effects and amazing voice acting and story. Very atmospheric and somewhat creepy but in a good way. It also has a sweet sense of mystique specially the singing parts. To top it all, its also completely free. Its only problem is it felt short and left me wanting more. Overall its a very unique experience for a mobile game and I highly recommend it. Ty for this masterpiece, devs.

A really unique experience. The soundtrack and visuals are really well presented. I would say that phone brightness and a good pair of headphones are your friend. The story is fascinating. I actually cared to hear what the NPCs had to say. I wish the main character got to explore themselves a bit more, but it's understandable why they weren't. This game needs a fast travel and screen cap system to really tie it together. Would love to see a SEQUAL with those features.

Beautiful, engaging, and the perfect amount of challenging. The hints were perfect and free, and overall I absolutely loved this. It could perhaps be more clear as to what is needed in some of the puzzles, but it's so fun to explore the world I didn't mind. Great job to the story and design team! I had no issues with click boxes either, it ran beautifully. Lovely adventure game.

An ABANDONED point-and-click game, with outdated Permissions that may be too intrusive for today's standard. If you're not that concerned (or know how to 'protect your privacy'), this game is actually quite fun. Great graphics, great music and sound effects (compared to similar games I've played); and the story is great too (it doesn't make sense, but who cares :D). Unfortunately, the puzzles are very, very, VERY easy. And straightforward. And short. No Google Play Achievement either.

Not a bad game. Never once asked for money. Nice audio/visual(s). Game did become far too abstract and difficult to figure out. Found myself needing all the hints and eventually looking up walk-throughs. I suppose if you have a near photographic memory, you'd do well. I however, do not possess a photographic memory. Some of the puzzles require quite a bit of memorization; or write things down.

Lovely point and click adventure game, just finished playing through! The graphics are beautiful and detailed, with some limited animations to good effect. Fantastic sound design, loved the voiceovers and choir singing. A bit unclear what to do at times, found myself wandering back and forth a lot which was a little frustrating. I did appreciate the easy access to hints without watching ads. Overall solid point and click with an interesting story, devs seemed to put a lot of care into it.

I loved this game. I would have given 5 stars except I found the map a little confusing at times, so I think that the areas to access should have been a bit more obvious. Sometimes I would get lost especially when you're switching between the spirit realm and back. If you're playing on a tablet or something bigger it might be different but on a phone screen it's not as easy. Game play is good, visually lovely, love the themes. It was a little short. A great game.
