Just replayed almost 3 years later and I still have the same feelings towards this: Great story, not enough choices, statistics didn't matter during the war, road to tournament had most of the choices-matter mechanic and was the most fun part of the game with map exloration, ending was disappointing and underwhelming, and felt rushed. But it was fun reexperiencing the story again, I still remembered much of it. Thanks for this!
I love this game, it has tons of fighting but also parts that are more for the story and the endings are amazing. The only problem is the forced adds but they are very few so it isn't too much of a problem. I think the game is very fun and is also pretty quick.
Whoever wrote this is well versed in the English Language. They aren't some second rate writer. Was reading sir Robert's war speach to my wife, and we both agreed it was even better than most we heard in movies. Only thing. I wish one could select a chapter to return to. Instead of starting the whole thing over.
This game would be a lot more better if we could restart to the part when we died, because everytime I died, I was forced to start all over from the beginning, please add a way so we could save our playthrough so we can have a better experience.
This game is a gem! Beautiful! I can't thank the creator enough for the joy this has given me. I used to live the goosebumps series where you had to chose your own story from numbers at the bottom of the page. This too me back. I'm amazed.
Amazing storyline, Great replay value, Good writing skill. All in all, one of the better interactive stories I've experienced, definitely recommended.
The game has a very interesting story for someone like me who does not read a lot I was pulled in with the story and decisions however it does have flaws like side characters not being fleshed out but over all an easy 5/5
I have played this game long time ago and decided to play it today again.... guess what? Its better than I remember, everytime I win in the great tournament I always end up marrying Princess Hannah's hand. I find this game sad because it is all just a fantasy but you could really feel the place, the events, the characters. They felt so real but again I find it sad because even if you marry Princess Hannah in this part (which is part 1) in part 2 princess Hannah was never married to somebody.
Really nice game? It makes ypy want to play it all in one go (which took me 3 hours) the narrative is intriguing and fun to be a part of. One of the best goes I've ever played on mobile
Amazing game, very few ads, and the story is very good. 10 out of 10 recommend, beautifully done.
Absolutely loved this game I had to replay a few times tto get the ending I wanted. Loved the talk and kinda laughed at some of the remarks the people an day character said.
I love this game it has an amazing story and I am addicted to it but unfortunately it ended and I have a score of 72 it has great world building and character design love and respect to whom made it love u
Just downloaded the game, and I haven't noticed how 2 hours have passed. Extremely good and addictive.
This is the first and best gamebook I have read/played. I won't spoil anything much so just to tell the story roughly you play as a squire of a great knight you look up to and together you go on different adventures and face many enemies. I am impressed that the choices you make really do matter, some choices have extremely big impact while others not so much, but in the end all choices do have some form of impact on how the story progresses. This game is the perfect gamebook if you ask me.
Very fun game with multiple ending that will be affected by your choices. The first part is pretty linear but there are some important choices to be made. It's fun to get invested into the characters and their backstory, although I feel like some of the more minor characters were underdeveloped, and some of the evoirment wasn't detailed enough. The stats system seems a bit too easy at points and battle tactics are practically non-existent. I did really enjoy the story though. Worth the price.
Amazing. I never expected a text-based game to have such flexibility in its story, which even most 3d visually stunning games don't have. I have one complaint though. I think you should have added checkpoints so that if someone wants to redo a choice, they can go back to the checkpoint, and not restart the whole game. But still, the story was fantastic.
Very fun. The only complaint I have is there's not much replay value. Sure you can go back through and make changes in choices but it becomes tedious and feels like a chore just to see a different outcome. But on first play through very enjoyable. As other users have mentioned a checkpoint system could fix this so you can save and then go down different routes without starting over completely.
This was by far the BEST choose your own adventure game I've ever played. completely free, great story, tons of choices, drama and secrets galore! A fantastic gameplay, my one critique is there should be more of this great game to enjoy. however, be warned: if you die you must start over, which might be very frustrating for some people. it is pretty easy to copy over your choices, though, and fix some you had missed earlier.
Its a nice little choose your own adventure game. The story isnt the most original and some characters are criminally underdeveloped, but it was still super fun and could get intense at times. There were also minor typos, but nothing that makes it difficult to read. Lots of options and outcomes that all lead up to a great tournament. Overall its a good time!
Story is gripping. It's lacking some elements that in the end make it feel rushed and not the best in delivery. Characters are likeable. Lacks depth for real empathy toward them. I would have liked to see some plot points that allowed for character growth, so they were real people and not just characters. But there's leeway to be given, considered it is a free app with ads. Gameplay is easy with replayability. I would recommend this if you're looking for a fun, easy and pass the time activity.
This game is, really, quite good. First of all, the ability to play through without paying for the full release is fantastic. I much prefer having to sit through ads occasionally. In addition to this, you have an engaging world, dynamic characters, (though I felt as though the author was getting me to like Princess Hannah too much) and an ultimately fun combat system. Some of the mechanics can get tedious, but luckily those portions aren't a substantial part of the game. Very much recommended!
Best of Hosted Games, download it on every new device and has other stories in the same universe (Swamp Castle-prequel, and a direct sequel) that help flesh out the world further. Wish there was more by them that you didnt have to pay for to get past the first few chapters. Has a very interesting time and travel system in the later half that takes a lot of preplanning and strategy to take full advantage of, as well as many paths that make use of your stats, adding a lot of replayability.
I really like what you did with the direction of the game. The story makes me invested, the characters are interesting, and the world building is amazing. I had a bit of problems like the app stops working (doesnt allow me to continue) but its easily resolved by reopening the app. The achievements section does spoil a bit of whats to come, but overall I absolutely love this game and you should give this game a try too. If there is a save function in the paid version I wouldnt mind paying 😗
I wish that I was able to review previous information easier as it makes pausing the game risky, and the travel section can get confusing. That said this is hands down one of the best games I've ever played, the plot, the detail, the investment in the characters is almost immediate. No waiting to play, ads are rare, and the game is free.
I ended up playing through the entire game in one sitting. It plays out as a book for the most part, but the interaction you make with it immerses you greatly. I really felt like I was experiencing this story, and that my choices had meaning. The game is not perfect, although it is closer to 5 stars than 4. Spelling and grammatical errors are somewhat common, and I feel the dialogue and writing could be a bit better at times. These hardly break your immersion, however, and I highly recommend it.
This is my first time reviewing a game and I'm more then happy for it to be this game. Its got a beautiful story with twists that make you feel attached emotionally, great characters throughout the whole story, and some great replay ability. Most of all, not paying money isn't a detrmiment to the experience as ads are rare and the only thing it changes is that you can't play the hardest difficulty. All in all, it's a gem of a game for sure
