The Greedy Cave

In a land far, far away there once was a vast continent called Milton. It was a land where the power of rule came by the sword and the arcane, where Men who devoted themselves to the blade or to magecraft, could become the finest warriors, wisest wizards or the greatest adventurers. In this land, there are several kingdoms divided by borders but united through history. Countless stories of alliances, upheaval, and moments of peace bedeck this tapestry, but that is a tale for another day.
Our story begins in a remote kingdom to the north, Iblis, an obscure and oft-forgotten place. It is a wild and barren land, a place where its people scrape a living from the earth, mining minerals for the lords of the south. On occasion, adventurers would stop by for the night but never linger. Until one day, a fledgling adventurer lost his way and stumbled into a hole. The story might have ended then had he not come back, but return he did, with sacks of gold and glittering treasure.

Like a fierce gale from the north, news of his fame and fortune fanned across the kingdoms overnight, and kings sent their bravest warriors and adventurers to clear the cavern of monsters in search of treasure. Even peasants wanting a part of this newfound wealth partook in these expeditions. In no time at all, a bustling town had sprung up in this forgotten place. People set up camps, and formed their own groups to explore the cave. Clever merchants not missing this opportunity, built taverns and shops near the cave, selling equipment and potions to eager adventurers. At first everything seemed fine. As explorers delved into the caves, they encountered new creatures and discovered new treasures. Mysteries continued to poured forth from the cave, yet nobody knew where the source of the secrets lay. However, as the explorations continued, the balance of wealth beyond the cave began to waver, and cracks appeared among those adventurers who had previously worked arm-in-arm. The latecomers or weak, limited to wandering the upper levels of the cave, could only watch as the veteran adventurers brought treasure after treasure from the deep. They began harboring dark thoughts as they watched the veteran adventurers grow arrogant from their largesse, ordering people around, hoarding secrets from the rest. The place became a festering pool of suspicions and greed, mired in jealous rage.

It started with an adventurer disappearing in the cave. Rumors circulated he had found some legendary treasure and hoarded it for himself. Others said he had been guided to another world by some mysterious magic force in the cave. Still the unspoken belief was that he had been murdered by a rival party and was buried somewhere beneath the caverns. Nobody knows exactly what happened, but people have continued to disappear ever since. As more people have gone missing, some adventurers have called it quits, others cling to hope, and a few continue to wait and see. Which brings us to you, an ordinary young man, coming into this extraordinary circumstance with purposes unknown to others. May you find what you seek in ...

Been enjoying the game alot, but would like to see some online elements in the game like a world chat or guild system etc. More passives/runes for more different play styles

The game music continues to play even after switching out from app. Only after closure does it cease.

3 stars for now cause I like this type of games but haven't gotten that far yet into the game itself to properly judge it. On another note, for those who can't play the game offline, you can: Either don't play the game whilst net is on, or when you have net whilst playing game, log in into your google play account in game then save to cloud, after that download save from cloud then you can play offline again. Remember to save from time to time, especially when uninstalling the game or so.

This game is great! Has many rooms for improvements and please provide more events, like bosses with infinite health that gives rewards base on the damage a player inflicts. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE EVENTS.

Something to play and pass time. Too much grinding is needed but too much time is spent on walking around thecave. Hope to have walk speed much faster. Not some boots that will become faster with lower health

This challenging and exciting. Love the graphics and the layout of the dungeons. Every 10th floor is unique and dangerous. A TRUE RPG fan would love this game.

I really like this game, but not once, twice now I have lost all my data thus the money and hours I have put into it. I am extremely disappointed in fact that this has happened to not just myself, but others as well with no solutions. Other then that, I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. Great dungeon crawler, good graphics, and easy controls. BUT due to this one extreme drawback of the possibility of losing everything, I do not recommend it. There are more reliable options.

I am a fan of the game, it really could use an autoplay though and a joystick would be nice to move around instead of the other two options, the third would be appreciate it greatly. I have downloaded the game a few times and never gotten really far, this might be my third time downloading it and I have finally made it into the forties, the game just takes so much time.

I'll give it four stars just because it's fair - the game can't restart properly when clearing data. You have to redownload for a clean slate. On the other hand, it's a great game. I love the art, maps. Visibility could use some tweaks because everything's too "vignette", except outside the cavern. But here's your 5 stars if the game didn't have that bug. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Love you guys. 😆😆

Been playing this on and off for the past few years. I remember when I discovered it, it was a total deal breaker. Ive spent countless hours farming through the same levels over and over again. Haven't reached second difficulty yet. The drop rate is excruciatingly low. This game is not money dependent but it's based on spending hundreds if not ,thousands of hours, going through the same levels over and over, and over again. This game is NOT fun. It's depressing and time consuming. Do not play it

The first comment that I can make about this game is that it is very addictive. I haven't made any in-game purchases, so it feels as if it is taking forever for me to grind through the dungeon floors. But I am having a very hard time putting the game down. I continue to just try and acquire new equipment, level up my character, and fight whatever bosses that I encounter. Despite being a very heavily grind-based game, it really keeps the player engaged and willing to waste a ton of time as long as he or she can find one good piece of equipment. The game can be pretty punishing if you aren't lucky enough to find the proper items, but that makes the game feel much more rewarding when you do. The game mechanics are pretty simple and straightforward. By about level 11, every player should have a good sense of what the game entails and can find the strategy and playstyle that suits them best. Additionally, one can play at their own pace and has very few restrictions. I absolutely love the art stlye of the game. It has a very Tim Burton vibe to it, similar to Don't Starve. I actually had to question whether they were the same company or not. Overall, The Greedy Cave feels like a very complete game. Although it might not be for everyone, there isn't anything that I can think of that would make the game even better. It is a staple of its genre.

I had forgotten how you lose all progress with every update. How you are forced to start over from scratch if you don't play at least once a month or once every 3-5 updates. How you only get one cloud save ever that cannot be overwritten. How I've restarted from scratch at least 20 times now in the last 2 years alone, and am being forced to again simply because some updates occurred. I enjoy the game, but not so much as to replay the beginning grind over and over again. I'm done.

One of my favorite games. Progression kinda slows down because to actually beat some of the bosses it's best to start like 40 levels before the boss so you can stock up on potions. This just gets really monotonous but besides that it's one of my favorite games. Simple to understand mechanics that still allows for unique ways to play and personalize your build.

I really want to like this game, but I keep losing my progress. It isn't by design unless the bugs are intentional. EG Using a scroll to go to town and then quitting. When you resume, it acts like you left a game in progress. If you resume, your scroll is gone. Basically it logs that you used a scroll, but doesn't return you to town. It's really obnoxious and completely takes the fun out of a loot-centric game. Imagine your favorite looter where you lose your drops at random. Very frustrating.

really fun roguelike with quircky yet endearing animation and a just right difficulty scale. one thing it could definitely do to improve the QoL of the player is to add a "autodelete" system for looting. ive found myself a number of times going back several floors in order to stockpile potions and having to delete all the extra loot gets tiresome after a while.

An amazing experience for all There is such diversity between what kinds of enemies and bosses, equipment and other mechanics like repairing the broken equipment and equipment sets. There is so much to cover in this wonderful game, but there is one flaw that I have discovered which is that you can get stuck for a while if you don't find any better equipment which is only temporary until you get better luck.

The game is really great, the story lines and everything, I wish that at the every first boss stage clear out could you at least gave us the chance to choose one of the boss relics without using real money just to get one of those, I would would really appreciate it, and fix about the bug like the game exits on it's own. Like I'm in a middle of a cave

I really like this game, there's so many ways to play and build your character. It feels like pixel dungeon, another one of my favorite games.

Needs updating with new events and ways to earn new characters

Nic. A. Sep 7, 2019

I've been playing for about a month now, and find it really satisfying. However, ever since I updated to Android 10, the game has started crashing every time I attempt to fight something (which is a huge bummer). When it works, it's super solid, would recommend
